When putting vehicle into reverse i hear a loud "clunk" and the r on the dashboard is all jumbled. when i put it into d there also is a loud "clink". the car accelerates real slow/hard. does not shift out of first gear. i have had it checked and the code that comes up is p0705 - failed transmission range sensor. have not been able to find anyone that will/can replace it due to the fact that they are having a hard time finding the part. can someone give me some guidance on this. very frustrated as this has been going on now for approximately 10 months. really tired of sitting on the side of the highway waiting for the thing to reset or finally correct itself. *js
