Tl* the contact owns a 2018 ram 3500. the contact noticed white powder coming from the vents when the air coditioner was activated. the vehicle was taken to reagle dodge (route 512 bangor, pa 18013, (610)-863-6900) where it was diagnosed that the evaporator coil failed prematurely and caused a chalk like dust to blow inside the vehicle. the dealer further stated that the dashboard and center consule needed to be removed in order to remove the evaporator coil the manufacturer was contacted. the contact also stated that the failure was exerienced in the 2014 and 2015 models. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 6,000.
When trying to accelerate, when i hit the throttle pedal there's a delay of at least 5-10 sec before truck responds and starts accelerating. very dangerous when switching lanes on highway. i've read online that there is a lot of others that have this same issue with vehicle like mine.
Tl* the contact owns a 2018 ram 3500. while driving approximately 35 mph and towing a fifth wheel trailer, the brake pedal was depressed; however, it was difficult to slow down the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to shively motors dodge chrysler jeep ram of shippensburg (located at 608 w king st, shippensburg, pa 17257, (717) 532-4136) to be diagnosed. the contact was informed that the vehicle operated as intended. the contact requested that the mechanic perform a voltage test on the integrated trailer brake controller. the voltage read 8.3 volts instead of 12.6 volts, which was needed to activate the integrated trailer brake controller. the contact stated that an aftermarket integrated trailer brake control was installed and the braking system performed as intended. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was contacted. the approximate failure mileage was 5,500.
Integrated brake system for towing trailers (itbs) does not work. safety hazard as the truck can not stop the 150000 pound 29t arctic fox 5th wheel. after 4 attempts dodge gave up and said the itbs works as designed. the 5th wheel was certified that the brakes work with other tow vehicles. not with our ram 3500 which is rated to tow 22000 pounds which is a safety hazard. we are unable to stop the trailer in an emergency or uner normal driving conditions using the itbs.
