Tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan pathfinder. the contact stated that the check engine warning indicator illuminated. the contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who determined that the air emissions could have caused the failure. the contact was advised to visit a nissan dealer. the vehicle was taken to another independent mechanic who diagnosed that the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. the vehicle was taken to garden city nissan (316 n franklin st, hempstead, ny 11550, (516) 483-4400) where it was diagnosed that the catalytic converter and engine sensor needed to be replaced. the contact stated that the engine sensor was in the process of being repaired, but not the catalytic converter. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 74,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan pathfinder. while driving 65 mph, the vehicle decelerated, the air conditioning did not work, and the transmission failed. also, the vehicle shook while driving and all the warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. the contact turned the air conditioning off and placed the vehicle in neutral. when the contact restarted the engine, the vehicle was able to drive normally. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 81,000. *tr consumer stated no. i had no idea about the defect until it was brought to my attention after asking a dealership what was going on and they advised me to check for recalls on the model and year for my vehicle. my concern is that i could be on the freeway and the transmission goes out with my grandchildren which i have adopted and someone not paying attention hits and kills us or/ and someone else. thanks for at least listening. i bought the vehicle to have enough room to abide with the law and now, i was taken advantage of. *jb
I was at a stop light, when i went to accelerate the car began to shake violently and started jerking. i stopped at a gas station to investigate and the car hesitated to shift out of drive or reverse. i am having to replace the defective cvt transmission and have come to know the following: the transmission defect creates an unreasonably dangerous situation and creates the risk of a crash; it is inevitable that an individual will be injured or killed due to a collision caused by this safety defect. nissan's cvts experience sudden, unexpected shaking and violent jerking (commonly referred to as 'juddering' or 'shuddering') the vehicles hesitate when trying to accelerate, increasing the risk of injury or death. case 1:14-cv-24728 -united states district court southern district of florida miami division
While in motion, vehicle gas pedal ceased accelerating. immediately pulled over, could no longer move the car forward or backward. car was completely immobile and had to have it towed to nearest mechanic. mechanic indicated the transmission hose was part of the problem along with a faulty a/c compressor. sounds exactly like nhtsa campaign number: 14v142000 called nissan about this and they said they refuse to honor it because my vin shows it was manufactured at a different plant than the one shown experiencing issues.
Vehicle transmission is not functioning as it should causing the vehicle to stop accelerating while driving.
65 mph, vehicle failed to accelerate but rpms went up to 7000 vehicle shuddered for 25 seconds. next day while makig a left turn at 10 mph thru an intersection from a stop light, same exact thing happened. got to side of road, car refused to go forward. works in reverse but not forward. towed to shop where new transmission was found to be the only fix. vehicle has only 112k miles.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan pathfinder. while driving approximately 30 mph, there was a loud abnormal noise coming from the engine compartment and the temperature gauge indicator illuminated. the contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and powered off the engine. the vehicle was restarted and the engine began to overheat. the vehicle was driven to the contact's residence and later taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the radiator fan motor assembly failed and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 57,212.
Vehicle radiator cooling fan is making a very loud noise. after some investigation i've concluded that there is a bad bushing/bearing in 1 of the 2 fans of the dual radiator (drivers side). the noise is due to the fan wobbling while running up to 1/4 inch or so. i have called the dealer to schedule a repair and was told that this part is on national backorder which tells me that this is a very common issue. i have priced one at a parts store and was quoted ~$800. this issue if left unchecked not only is very noisy, but could lead to catastrophic engine damage as this is what cools the fluid that cools the engine. i have also found complaints online of others that have the same specific issue with the same vehicle models. this is occurring while vehicle is in park idling as well as while driving down the road.
Seal on transmission leak and can not get out of park
In park, my gear shift will not engage so i cannot get out of park. this started happening about three weeks ago. in the beginning it would happen maybe one or twice a week. now its about every other time i get in my vehicle. it can take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes before i can get it out of park and in gear
Nissan pathfinder 2013 revs engine and jerks vehicle while firmly pressing brake (at a stop light). at first, i thought it was just the wind, but it kept happening for weeks. then i noticed the rpms jump when it happened. furthermore, the vehicle would slowly roll forward if stopped on a hill, requiring pressing the brake pedal all of the way to the floor. just yesterday, it revved and jerked about a dozen times. the vehicle has the latest recalls done as of april/may when i took in in for service (rosen nissan) and they verified the brake system was ok. vehicle should not be revving and trying to turn tires while it is stopped.
Happened a few times (one too many) on the road, my car stalls (gas pedal does not work). also, back lights are lit after car is shut down. had to turn engine on and off till it shuts off.
Cooling fan assembly, bad bearings in fan motors. loud noise due to bad bearings in fan. occurs primarily when the air conditioner clutch engages and cooling fans come on. also occurs at highway speeds when cooling fans come on. loud roaring noise. i ordered a tyc623760 replacement fan assembly to replace the nissan/valeo m154880 unit with manufacture date of 12-15-2012 serial #towm157978. i am reporting this after reading how common this issue is in 2013-2017 nissan pathfinders and the rates dealers are charging for the repair. i saw online that dealers charge $850.00 to 1250.00. my local dealer charges $980.00 plus tax. i paid $176.00 for the part and it took me under 90 minutes to install after watching a youtube video. this was a repair anyone could do that didn't mind a little grime on their hands. it seems to me that instead of issuing a recall on a clearly flawed part, that nissan is viewing this as a money maker for their dealerships.
When driving the vehicle it stalls when pressing the gas to accelerate. when at a stop or turning when switching from braking to accelerating you have to press the gas several times to get the car to accelerate. nissan consumer affairs will not assist and the dealership cannot replicate. i dont know what to do
While driving the rpm and speed of the vehicle will not go past 1500 thus causing very slow acceleration. especially when trying to turn into any street where you need to accelerate faster. trying to de press and re press the gads pedal does nothing. our nissan dealership has said the transmission valve body assembly is to blame.
