Problems with 2013 Nissan Pathfinder POWER TRAIN

On average, the 2013 Nissan Pathfinder starts to “feel” problems with the POWER TRAIN and its various aspects after 20 124 miles.

Recently reported POWER TRAIN problems on 2013 Nissan Pathfinder

The vehicle was purchased in may 2015. the vehicle had 54k miles. within 45 days of purchase noticed that while pulling into traffic the vehicle would hesitate. this was also noticed when beginning from a complete stop. took the vehicle into liberty gmc in peoria, az where it was purchased. was told that it was sent to nissan and they did some reprogramming. got the car back and it continued the same issues. took back a week later and supposedly they put a new transmission on the vehicle. well here we are 1 year later and the same issues are happening again. this time with the added bonus of a clunk when you hit the accelerator. will be taking in again next week. second issue is with my wife ( who is 8 months pregnant) sitting in front passenger seat the light saying airbag is off stays on. nissan seems to not be taking some of these issues very seriously.

I was on a trip to the store, all of a sudden my pathfinder acted as if it had no power when i was getting ready to get going from a stoplight. this same thing occurred several more times throughout the drive. on one occasion my family and i were put into an unsafe situation. as i was trying to make a turn in an intersection my pathfinder had no power and almost caused me to be hit by oncoming traffic. another issue is with the brake lights wouldn't go off once i got to a stopping point. they stay on and don't go off without the fuse for the stop light being pulled.

The transmission has given me problems for the past year and a half. initially when i took it to the dealership they said they could not recreate the problem. when accelerating from a complete stop the vehicle would shudder and struggle to get into a higher gear. the car would go slower than it should based on the pressure applied to the gas pedal. this shuddering would also occur when accelerating on the freeway. i could be going 55mph and then needed to merge or pass and when the gas is pressed a strong shudder would occur sometimes feeling like the car would stop at any second. i mentioned this to the dealer two more times. there were some software updates and eventually, last july, they said i needed a new transmission. a 2 year old car with approximately 40k miles. that is unheard of. after the transmission replacement things seemed to be working fine. every now and then i would feel a slight shudder but wasn't sure if that was actually occurring because of what i was used to before. well it definitely was and got noticeably worse. when accelerating from a complete stop the car would move and seem to be stuck in gear. i could push the gas pedal down to the floor and would go no faster than 20 mph. this was a problem as i was in traffic numerous times when this occurred. i took it back to a different dealership and they said it was a software update that was needed. the update was applied last week and the problem has gotten worse. accelerating from any speed whether from 0 or 55 the car gets stuck and doesn't go any faster, this happened several times in one day on the highway and luckily no accident occurred. the car is now back at the dealership. i have a family with 2 small children and am afraid to put my family in the car. nissan has really disappointed me with this and it seems this is an ongoing and known issue for 2013 pathfinders.

My car lost power brought it in for service needs a new transmission. at 89,000 miles shouldn't need a new transmission been reading up on it and a lot of people are having to get a new transmission on the cvt transmission that nissan is using. starts with a finding noise when driving long distances than just lost power won't move car still running. it shutters like puts puts and shuts off. had to have it towed. they told me transmission is going. i payed 30,000 dollars for this car 18 months ago still owe 21500 on it and do not have 5000 on a new transmission at this point i don't want the car anymore.

Issue has happened multiple times in 1 day. when pressing the accelerator vehicle does not react. it has happened while moving at multiple speeds or stopped. i press the brake and go to accelerate again and it will not accelerate. or i can be stopped at a light and press the accelerator and vehicle will not react. issue is happening about 4-5 times during a 15 mile drive. this is happening on flat surfaces. it looks like the rpm increase very little but even if i continue to press down further on the pedal it will not accelerate.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan pathfinder. while driving approximately 50 mph, the vehicle vibrated, decelerated, and momentarily accelerated. there were no warning indicators. the contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and called a local dealer who advised her to drive the vehicle to the shop. the following day, the failure recurred. the technician kept the vehicle for a couple of days, but was unable to duplicate the failure. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but stated that nothing could be done. the failure mileage was 59,000. the vin was not provided.

My pathfinder stalls and will not accelerate when i come to a complete stop on an elevated surface. we just bought our 2013 pathfinder (53.5k miles) less than 2 weeks ago. it is certified pre owned and under powertrain warranty 7 years/ 100k miles. when i took the issue to the dealership, last week, i was told that the car did not throw a computer code and when they test drove my car they did not have any issues. they did however tell me that when they tried to parallel park it on a hill, it accelerated as soon as they put it in drive, to which i explained i never put my pathfinder in park, i only came to a complete stop, on a hill and it would not accelerate. this is terrifying considering my 6 month old baby has been in the backseat when this has happened on multiple occasions in less than 2 weeks.

Vehicle stalls at various times while driving, will not accelerate while pressing on gas pedal. has now happened 6 times in 3 months. stalled also, while on cruise control going downhill and would not engage until on level surface for 15 seconds, lost 35 mph during this incident. passenger side front airbag light is illuminated indicating that no one is in seat while seat is occupied. i have several photos and dates of this particular problem.

Experiencing a low speed judder and lately a soft judder at about 70 mph

Problem is intermittent while stopped. when pressing accelerator pedal while in drive engine does not respond. engine rpm will go up once shifted to neutral, but not while in drive. does not produce error codes, so no one knows how to fix. i have found a lot of other complaints of the same situation online, nissan has not acknowledged this as a problem as far as i know.

Vehicle jerks and shudders in light acceleration. no acceleration on vehicle even when accelerator is pressed to floor. it was brought into dealer who claimed there was a computer programming update for the transmission. vehicle continued to experience same issues. last week my car shuddered, would not accelerate with pedal to the floor then shut down completely as i was pulling out of gas station almost causing accident. it is now in shop. no repairs done yet.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan pathfinder. after the vehicle was serviced under a manufacturer recall for a transmission software update, the vehicle hesitated to accelerate without warning. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 70,000.

I have had the door handle on my pathfinder break twice making you unable to get out of your car in a emergency! this car was purchased new by me. also i have had many problems with the transmission slipping while in acceleration. now that it is out of warranty they seem to have no interest in fixing it.

While i was told that this had happened previously in the vehicle (around june 22, 2015), i experienced it on 7/6/15. i was traveling on the highway at @ 68 mph. i slowed to take an offramp left onto a connector and pressed the accelerator to regain speed. there was no response; the accelerator had no power--even when pressed to the floor. the car began to lose speed. it was a busy time of day, and there was a car behind me. i took my foot off the accelerator and pressed it again; this time it was responsive. in addition to the loss of power, the car 'hitched' as i was driving and braking, and the abs and traction control lights came on. this happened multiple times afterwards--not just on turns. on 7/7, i called nissan service. i did not drive the car again until they fit me in (thurs., 7/9). the drive train is still under warranty, and i was informed that there was a crt reprogramming recall that needed to be done, but it had nothing to do with what was happening, so they would run multiple diagnostics at $125 or more a piece. after multiple diagnostics and a technician driving my car 44 miles, service "could not duplicate concern," did not know of any like problems with the car, had performed the recall, and sent me home at no charge (?) on 7/10. afterwards, i did not drive the car for several days. on 7/16, it seemed safe, and my daughter was driving with me in the passenger seat. it happened again--on a busy road! the abs and traction control lights came on too. we stopped; i took a picture, immediately emailed it to service, & switched drivers. there's no response yet. nissan online forums are full of 2013 pathfinder (and nissan crt model) owners experiencing the exact same problems, being told similar things, and having transmissions (crt) replaced but it happening again. nissan won't acknowledge what seems to be a widespread problem with the crt & this model.

I got a nissan pathfinder platinum 2013, while i was driving at 40 mph, right in the middle of the road it stopped accelerating for a good 5 to 15 seconds, even thu i pressed the gas medal all the way down to the floor. that happened very often now. i took it to the sutherland nissan dealership in fort myers , florida, they were telling it could be the cvt transmission. i encourage everybody who has this same problem with their nissan vehicle to come forward and complained. that cvt transmission problem is a big safety issue and that directly put people life in great danger.

While driving, vehicle looses power, acceleration, pressing on gas and nothing happens, shift car to neutral and press on gas and rpm"s go up, shift back to drive, press on gas and rpm's don't move, vehicle does not go. all the times that it has happened we had to coast either to the side of road, or to next light. this is a rear end collision waiting to happen, this is definitely a safety issue!!! took car to nissan dealer, but since car did not detect any error codes, dealership was unable to find fix, but there is definitely something wrong with car, http://www.carcomplaints.com went unto this site and found more than 100 complaint similar to mine, about car loosing power. somebody has to look into this before someone gets seriously hurt or dies. this is my wife's car and i have a 3yr old and a 2yr old that she drives around, please, someone look into this. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan pathfinder. while driving various speeds, the vehicle hesitated to accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. the dealer diagnosed that the cvt transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the contact indicated that the cvt was replaced on two previous occasions. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 30,000.

I had that nissan pathfinder patinum for a week, i noticed it shuddering and shaking when i press lightly on the gas pedal to accelerate., its like the vehicles shutting down on me. i took it to the dealer sutherlin nissan in fort-myers, florida and i'm still waiting on them. for whoever who has experienced this kind of shuddering problem, its a very scary and frightened moment. nissan needs to do something about it as quick as possible.

Upon acceleration from idle or at traffic light, depressing the acceleration pedal produces no movement. you have to press the gas pedal all the way down, upon which no movement forward is created. also, the passenger front airbag, even with a 160 pound passenger sits in seat, airbag light is still turned off, subsequently turning off airbag. *tr

I was driving down a local street traveling about 35 miles per hour. as i was accelerating down the street my car begin to slow down without me hitting the brakes. i had to turn in the turning lane so know one would hit the back of my car. i took my car in to the nissan dealer where i bought my car. they couldn't find anything, but the said it was a recall on a part on my transmission. they fixed it. i noticed the same thing happened two weeks later. *tr

Had recall on transmission for software update, left dealership once it was done. could not accelerate to get off of hill behind the dealership. vehicle would only go in reverse. had the pedal down to the floor and the vehicle would not move. *tr

There is a violent shudder/judder that occurs during turns, uneven roads, up hills, slower speeds during traffic. gears do not seem to change and operate smoothly. judders into next gear losing power and control of the vehicle that scares everyone in the car. as consumers we all purchase new vehicles for reliability and safely. you stick to a brand you know and trust because of prior experiences or word of mouth referrals. nissan has tried to give me a harder time fixing these issues by asking to replicate the issue or record while driving, which is also extremely dangerous and illegal. these issues are surprisingly are all over the internet, yet i have not seen a fix to date, ownership from the manufacture of the problem or recall. people's lives are at risk in these faulty auto's every day and yet nothing seems to be done. after having my second transmission installed, wheel barring replaced, rubber strips from roof replaced as well as driver visor i will soon file for a lemon claim. please take my issues serious and help save people that could possibly lose their lives because of these faulty transmissions.

When the car is full of passengers the transmission starts to miss shift causing a vibration. feels unsafe when carrying passengers. also vehicles backup camera is starting to act up. the video is screen has lines through it and sometimes the backup alarms deactivate. *tr

I was pulling out of a parking lot. i drove a few yards and the car would not accelerate over 25mph even though i was pushing on the accelerator. there were no warning lights, but the rpm's would not go up. i stopped and put it in park, revved the engine, and put it in drive again. it worked fine for about a mile until i pulled up to a stop light. as the light turned green, i could not get the car to go over 25 mph. (i was turning left at the intersection, so it was very dangerous that i could not get the car to accelerate as i was facing upcoming traffic.) i pulled onto the shoulder and put it in park again. i was able to make it the additional mile home but thankfully did not have to stop at a light again. the dealership has ran diagnostics on it and can't find anything wrong with it, but i'm scared to drive it again. *tr

Over the past two month i've had 4 incidents when i stop at a light or sign and when i hit my accelerator pedal to start moving again nothing happens. sometimes i lift my foot off of the pedal and them back again and it starts working normally. other times the accelerator starts working after a few seconds of being depressed.....more than a little nu-nerving when entering heavy traffic areas. *tr

I bought this car used, i had it for 10 days, i was driving at a low speed 10-15 mph and my pathfinder started jerking. i thought i was driving on a bad part or my tire had blown up. i pulled into a store, everything looked fine, i left and as i was making a turn, it started the jerking again, i was heading home and only a few min away and after another turn, it started jerking again!! i called the dealership, they called saying nothing is wrong with it. i have a 2 year old! it's horribly frightening and sickening to not know when this is going to happen and to know you've spent all this money on a crap car that they won't fix under warranty! *tr

Just purchased this vehicle. drove beautiful while test driving. the next morning the vehicle started her jerking so bad that i thought something was falling out from underneath the vehicle. i thought i was going to stall out in the middle of an intersection. wondering how safe this vehicle really is when needing to transport children. disgusted with the power i am finding. *js

Transmission slipping and sputters and airbag light comes on when anyone is i the seat.

While driving my 2013 pathfinder at slow speeds, the vehicle would lose power and not accelerate. it has happened about 10+ times in the last two weeks. the latest time i was making a left hand turn yielding to on coming traffic. the vehicle would not accelerate and stalled in the middle of oncoming traffic. the pathfinder was moving about 5-10 mph. the oncoming vehicle approaching had to slam on their brakes so they didn't hit us (i had 6 kids in the car). the pathfinder then kicked in and stalled at the following light around 1/4 mile down the road. it is intermittent and hasn't happened since. pathfinder is currently at the dealer and they say that they have it fixed by a brake switch replacement. the regional consumer specialist from nissan na assigned to us stated he was not aware of any acceleration problems at all in pathfinders. *tr

The car was vibrating heavily. people said the transmission shudder. *tr

2013 nissan pathfinder hesitated (shudder) when i accelerated the vehicle from a standstill in traffic on the freeway. the vehicle did not move for about 2-3 seconds. it sounded like the vehicles power just shut off. after 2-3 seconds, the vehicle then accelerated. this happens every so often from a standstill/pause at a traffic light or in traffic. i have addressed the problem to my nissan service dealer. the vehicle is currently at the dealer for service. i turned the vehicle in to the dealer on 12/30/14 due to an "ikey error code" only to find out that the body control module unit had to be replaced. too many issues with this vehicle. luckily i still have warranty. do something before something major happens. *js

On slow road coasting between 15-20mph, the vehicle hesitated and shaked for around 3 seconds until accelerated above 20 mph. on dec 17, made the same in another road, same mph. yesterday 12/30 did it again. in routine maintenance on the dealer, 12/26 informed about the two (2) first events. they recorded it on the job; they need to have the vehicle more time in order to reproduce. imo at this time, with so many owners complaining about this same progressive defect, is no need to leave a vehicle days (and others putting mileage on it) to reproduce this random problem in addition of the inconvenience of being without transportation. *js

Car was purchased new in the second quarter of 2013. in late 2014 with less than $40k, car began "shuddering". mostly at low speeds and when accelerating. dealer could not find an issue. driving back from vacation in late 2014, on the interstate, the car lost power and we limped off the exit after which the car was undriveable. nissan indicated it was an issue with the cvt and the transmission was replaced under warranty. looking back at the situation on the highway, given the loss of power, this could have been a lethal situation. fast forward to oct 2016 and at 88k, the same issue is re-occurring and the dealer indicated today, transmission will (again) need to be replaced. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan pathfinder. the contact stated that while driving approximately 55 mph, the transmission failed without warning. the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. the technician diagnosed that the transmission fluid hose and clamp needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure and the vin was not included in recall nhtsa campaign number: 14v142000 (power train). the failure mileage was 36,030.

Our 2013 nissan path finder has been "shaking"/shuttering since we bought it. every time we brought it in for service they said it was "not reproducible". finally the noise got so loud they replaced the transmission. less than 2 days after the transmission was replaced. we tried to enter the highway and the vehicle refused to accelerate. we almost crashed with oncoming traffic. the vehicle then would not accelerate over 5-10 mph and started dumping fluid in my driveway. i called nissan and they assigned a tech who was supposed to examine the vehicle with us and document the incident. the tech was not available for a month and they put the vehicle on the rack and "fixed" it without documenting the issue with us. i am going to check it out today. however this is subversive and they are actively not trying to document the issue. this is a dangerous vehicle and numerous complaints have been made online. *tr

While making a right turn the vehicle started to shudder, thought the engine was going to cut off, once again while accelerating out of a turn the car started to shudder again. this is happening on a regular basis now. bought the car from a dealership. going to a nissan dealer car still under warranty hopefully i can get some relief. *tr

I purchased this car in march 2014. it was a used platinum pathfinder with 4900 miles on it. within months, i noticed a violent shaking when traveling at low speeds. i took it in october 30, 2014 to get the shudder fixed. i was told nothing was wrong, its just how the cvt works. so, i left. on january 22,2015, the car lost power as i was crossing into traffic on a 4 lane road. this nearly resulted in me and my children being tboned by a uhaul. thankfully they were able to stop in time. it happened one more time on the way home that day as i pulled off from a stop light. the car gets to about 20 mph and nothing. i immediately call jerry rome nissan and told them i wanted a rental and they needed to fix my car. i agreed to bring it in the following week. in the meantime, the power loss continued to happen. after taking the car to the dealership, a master mechanic took a ride with me and i could not get the car to do it. they hooked the car up to the computer and got no codes...and they were unable to duplicate so there is nothing wrong. i have spent the past week researching this issue and i'm sure you are aware, this is a widespread, very serious issue with these cars. nissan is negligent in continuing to sell these cars knowing the cvt is too small for this vehicle. i contacted nissan consumer affairs and they told me there was nothing i could do. then i get a call today from jerry rome stating that they have a service bulletin about this car so they'll be reprogramming the transmission. i researched that and the bulletin they're speaking of came out nov. 2014. it's important that everyone know the scam they're running. this is corporate greed at it's finest. it's just a matter of time before some poor family gets crushed getting on a highway. maybe that's what they're waiting for. *tr

Driving home and going up an inclined hill...i noticed my vehicle(2013 nissan pathfinder) suddenly had a hesitation and started to judder abruptly...it happened at low speed of 20-25mph. nissan is aware of this cvt issue and has not addressed it yet. i read somewhere that they are trying to reprogramming the cvt and seeing if this resolves the issue otherwise folks have had the cvt replaced and still in the same boat....this is a noticeable judder at 20-25 mph on a slight incline. i am the original owner of a 2003 nissan murano with 88k and the first of its kind with cvt technology and never experienced this type of juddering issue. you would think nissan would have refined the cvt to a point so these issue would not happen....i like the cvt technology but now i am having my doubts. *tr

Driving would notice that car would not go when i would accelerate so took in many times to dealership which always told me it just needed updating so it happened again then they said it was the transmission and would have to replace. but the thing that upset me was they put a refurbished one in which wasn't right since i bought brand new. still having problems took again and once again needed updating don't know what else to do dint understand why nissian doesn't take care of these issues or buy back these lemon cars frustrated. also never received recall notice from nissian ever since i bought car i had to google search which is horrible unprofessional *js

2013 nissan pathfinder will hesitate (shudder) when shifting from first gear to second gear while going aprox 20mph. i have addressed the problem to my nissan service dealer and they give me the can not duplicate issue, no check engine lite code. nothing they can do. today 12/30/14 going real slow behind another car aprox 20mph the pathfinder is shuddering and banging like crazy, and loss of power. please nissan co. do something before something major happens before you address the problem. *js

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan pathfinder. while driving 20 mph, the vehicle failed to accelerate when the accelerator pedal was depressed. the failure recurred numerous times intermittently. the vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing, but was unable to be diagnosed. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vin was unavailable. the approximate failure mileage was 52,000.

Just bought my pathfinder three months ago used with 18000 miles me and my wife just had our second child and we were looking for a third row vehicle comparable to the highlander and we thought this was it but boy were we wrong. we put about 2000 miles on it and started having problems. this pathfinder put my family's life in danger when it started losing power and jerking in the middle of a busy highway... my wife says she's never had such a new car gives her problems like this and she no longer trust driving it with my three week old daughter and 2 year old son inside. i'm gonna get rid of this junk and buy a highlander like i should have done in the first place. then i know my family will be safe on the road. nissan has forever lost my business, never again. they know they have horrible transmission problems and won't do anything to truly fix them only try to buy time till the warranty expires. bye bye nissan *tr

I purchased my pathfinder in may of 2013. i loved my suv initially. starting around july of 2014 - i started experiencing shuddering while driving. thought maybe i needed new tires. beginning in august - started noticing that when accelerating from a stop that i would lose power and it would stay about 20 mph & after pumping the gas pedal several times then it would kick in. it started happening more and more. this past sunday while starting to accelerate up a hill, my pathfinder just wouldn't kick in. stayed at about 25 mph & i had to put on my emergency breaks until i reached the top of the hill & then it kicked in. then the next day as i was merging onto the freeway with my 2 children in the car & my daughters friend, my car just lost its power. continued to drive at maybe 20 mph even with my foot pressed all the way down on the gas pedal. this was a very scary experience for myself & my kids. we could have been totally rear ended. there are so many complaints here. does nissan need to wait until someone is tragically killed before making steps to issue a recall? i did take my car in today to the dealership with print outs of the comments here & told them i would not drive my pathfinder & put my family in jeopardy until the issue is fixed. they did give me a rental car & contacted me by the end of the day today that they received approval to replace the transmission & will continue to do further testing on the shuddering & reason that the transmission needs to be replace on a vehicle that is a little over a year old. please with the dealerships response. i have always driven honda's or acura's and made the mistake to try nissan. this will be my last nissan purchase! i am also posting this on facebook to spread the word about the pathfinder. maybe that will get a recall going! *tr

Intermittent surging continuing through speeds of 30-40 before becoming smooth. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan pathfinder. while driving various speeds, the vehicle hesitated to acclerate. there were no warning indicators illuminated. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 21,000. the vin was unavailable.

Purchased on december 24, 2013, my 2013 nissan pathfinder has a major transmission issue, which has not been fixed after three service calls, and ended with the transmission failing while driving at 70 mph on a very busy interstate highway. *tr significant safety event. on 6 jul 2014, my pathfinder?s transmission failed in the middle of interstate highway 95 over 150 miles from my residence at posted speed of 70 mph. the car started to shudder with a slight jump in rpm, acted normally, and then, the transmission got stuck in gear. we made it to the side of the road and shutdown the car. i restarted the pathfinder and regain control of the power train; as before, the vehicle drove with no apparent issue. fifteen minutes later, the vehicle?s rpm started to exceed 5000 to 6000 rpms, cycling between coasting at high and low rpms (with no power being transfer to the wheels to maneuver the car properly), and normal ?powered? driving. finally, it would not respond to fuel pedal actions. i was able to ?coast? through the 70+ mph traffic to the highways? shoulder. background. i questioned both the salesman/manager on this issue, and both stated that these early problems had been resolved, and more importantly, that my vehicle?s transmission was a newer one. the first vehicle incident occurred shortly after buying the vehicle. the problem consisted of transmission bumps and rumbles that caused the vehicle to shudder or rattle. i took the vehicle to the dealership in fredericksburg, virginia on 19 jan 2014, 4 mar, and 2 may. i was also told that this issue was not a serious problem, and that the vehicle computer would adjust to the individual pattern of the driver and that the problem would eventually go away. nissan was contacted, and the vehicle's software was updated. the service department was confident that the problem would be mitigated by the last software update. *tr

Someone please help! my wife and i own a 2013 pathfinder and it only has 13000 miles an is already on its second transmission! our car violently shakes and shudders on take off at approximately 15-20 mile per hour! why isn't there a direct investigation for this problem. why not when the majority of the complaints here are for this particular problem and it's so dangerous with my 6 month old child in the car. something has to be done. same problem with pathfinder's equivalent, infinity equivalent jx35, with same type transmission. look it up. something has to be done! *tr

Just purchased the car used from a dealer on 6/19 with only 5100 miles on it. by 6/22, by noticed that the car will shudder occasionally after accelerating, coasting, and then attempting to accelerate again. while accelerating from a turn to an interchange, the car shook as if going over rumble strips for about 4 seconds and wasn't able to achieve accelerating power until shaking stopped. has occurred about 7 times over the past day. very frustrated in the dealer who now says the manufacturer will cover any defects. i feel the dealer knowingly passed the problem on to me. *tr

Transmission slips on take off 2-10 mph. *tr

Vehicle at 5400 rpm on level road would only achieve a speed of 41 mph, this was on a highway paused with a posted speed limit of 65 mph. vehicle paused, shuttered and engine seemed to be working but transmission would not engage completely. we felt that we could have been rear ended and killed. this was three days after nissan had replaced the transmission for shuttering at 19 mph over a six month period. after stopping several times the vehicle reacted as close to normal as we would expect, just in time to get home. we have brought this vehicle to the dealer ship for passenger side airbag light showing it was off, when it should have been on, for back up sensor acting as though off but actually off, the smell of antifreeze and no leaks and last the brakes delaying. nissan continued until recently stated that it was normal. there are numerous sites stating these same issues. we could have been killed, this is serious, no power on the expressway. *js
