Recently reported POWER TRAIN problems on 2006 Nissan Maxima

Purchased a 06 maxima in aug 2009, in october of 2010 the car started jerking when driving it. at first it would have happen every now and then and then it would jerk and mist every other day. check engine light came on and the car was taken to a nissan dealer and was told the catalytic converter was bad and that it was still under warranty, had car fixed and after driving the car for 3 days it started jerking, the nissan service dept was contacted and stated that none of the sensors displayed a problem and advised me to change the grade of gas from premium to mid-grade. i did what they recommended and the car continued to jerk and mist. the jerking would cause the car to slow down the rpm would quickly flip to 4 or 5 all this would happen while driving the car at a speed of 20-30 mph. i am very disappointed with nissan because i believed that nissan cars were very good and reliable vehicles. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 nissan maxima. the contact stated that the vehicle would violently jerk and he was unable to shift gears safely. the dealer had not been notified. the vehicle was taken to a private mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle with a faulty valve body in the transmission and advised that the contact should replace the transmission. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure nor was the vehicle repaired. the current mileage was 124,000 and the approximate failure mileage was 95,000.

I was happy driving home with new rims after buying my 2006 maxima and was turning into my parking spot and needed to back-up because of space restrictions. i placed the vehicle back into drive and it did not go into gear, there was lag and a clunk back to 1st gear. happy to sad in less than 1 second, i became. the vehicle hesitated at times and now it does it more often. even when i drive it clunks into the lower gears and now the car feels like the transmission disengages from the motor. the rpms flare up to 8000 then catch gear which makes my tires chirp causing my head to go back by the sudden acceleration change. *tr

After taking my maxima to the dealer because of the transmission free wheeling and shifting erratically they said they were not aware of issues. they flushed the trans fluid and suggested i get a new trans if the problems continued. i went and researched the issue on the internet only to find out that there are many complaints about the cvt maxima transmissions. i have again taken the car back to the dealer and now they tell me the trans valve body may fix the issue but not 100% sure at a cost of $1800. they also told me that several other items were in need of replacement which i had checked at a local garage and they found none of the so called worn out parts but that is another story. i feel this is a design flaw like many other nissan owners. they need to make good of the problem. *tr

A couple of weeks ago, i started to notice that my 2006 maxima (75,000 miles) was shifting hard (jerking with a slight delay prior) in low gears, especially 1st to 2nd. the problem also occurred when putting the car into drive from reverse. it occurred approximately 75% of the time, but i couldn't find a definite pattern (car was cold or warm.) i took it to a mechanic who recommended the transmission be replaced and it is currently in the shop getting a new transmission. the mechanic told me that it's a faulty case bushing in the center support and even with a new transmission using the same faulty part, the problem will arise again. i contacted a local nissan dealership and spoke to the service manager. he stated nissan did extend a transmission warranty on some cars to 120,000, but mine was not part of that recall. if it's a product defect, no current remedy will permanently fix the problem. *tr

Transmission on my 2006 nissan maxima causes the car to jerk when changing gears. there is a hard jerk when shifting down. car does not change immediately from reverse to drive. takes about 5 seconds to get into drive and it causes an extremely hard jerk when shifting into drive. *tr

I own a 2006 nissan maxima. i brought my car to the dealership because the car started shifting hard when going from first to second gear and 2nd to 3rd. it also has significant jerking when downshifting or trying to go to the next gear. the transmission slips as the engine rpm's rev as well. the dealership told me that my transmission fluid was a little dirty but they could not find anything wrong with my transmission. they did a transmission flush and it did not help at all. i brought the car back 3 weeks later because the service engine light came on. they now are saying i need a new transmission when just 3 weeks ago they said they couldn't find anything wrong. i said you how come you couldn't tell me that 3 weeks ago. now my service engine light has gone off and i am still having the same issues. i cannot believe that there has not been a recall on the transmissions on this car. i went online to consumer affairs and there have been hundreds of customer complaints under consumer affairs. why has there not been a recall? this is a safety hazard and someone is going to end up getting hurt. what is it going to take for the company to do a recall? i filed a complaint with nissan consumer affairs. when they called me back they said that there is nothing they can do. they said it is up to nhtsa to issue a recall. i cannot believe that nissan usa cannot to anything to help the customers. please take a few minutes and sign on to consumer affairs and see how many customers have filed complaints regarding the transmissions in the 2006 nissan maximas. every single one of them are having the same exact problem as i am. there is definitely something faulty with the transmissions. The power train manual transmission has a defect that causes it to go out. i have already been told its a manufactures defect but the company refuses to pay for my repairs because its after my warranty. i think that if the made a faulty product they should be held responsible. not the consumer. i will supply my vin number but after i am contacted. thank you. *tr

I recently purchased a used 2006 nissan maxima with 78k miles. car has been beautifully maintained but almost immediately began noticing hard shifting from 1st to 2nd gear and 2nd to 3rd and even significant jerking when downshifting. tranny slips as engine rpm's rev as well. this car is a safety hazard as it can not be counted on to deliver power or speed to the wheels when needed and will definitely be a safety hazard when in wet or icy conditions due to transmission issues. i have researched this issue and discovered many other owners are experiencing the same issue. i find it hard to believe that there has been no recall by nissan as this is most certainly a serious safety issue that will eventually claim innocent lives. *tr

2006 nissan maxima transmission keeps slipping and jerking in-between gears. there is a growling noise coming from the engine. there is a squeaking coming from the front driverside shock. took to nissan dealership to have it inspected and ended up having to have the transmission rebuilt and they couldn't "reconstruct the noises from the shock" and they couldn't identify the what was causing the noise from the engine. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 nissan maxima. the contact was driving 30 mph when the vehicle began jerking abnormally with the illumination of the check engine warning light. the vehicle stalled within seconds. in addition, when shifting into reverse, the vehicle would exhibit the same failure. the contact was able to restart the vehicle and it was taken to a local repair facility for diagnostic testing. the mechanic discovered that the transmission was defective. the vehicle was then taken to an authorized dealer where the dealer advised replacing the transmission. the manufacturer was contacted but did not offer any assistance. the vehicle was not repaired. the contact stated that the dealer advised that transmission failures were common in his year, make and model. the failure mileage was 99,000.

2006 nissan maxima with transmission problems. 1 to 2 gear and 2 to 3 gear shifts abruptly, slips, jerks, on both upshifts and downshifts. transmission bangs from 1st to 2nd and the car hesitates off the line. off the line, the car revs freely before it's able to catch a gear you get a whiplash sensation between shifts. coming to a stop at a signal the 3rd to 2nd and 2nd to 1st gear downshifts are extremely harsh accompanied by a loud bang. when shifting from r to d, there is a few seconds delay before the transmission goes into gear with a loud bang. this all happens when the car is warmed up with at least 15-20min. driving time. *tr

I own a 2006 nissan maxima that now has 84,000 miles. around 80k the car starting making severe jerking moves when changing into and from lower gears (1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd). this has to be dangerous because the rpm will surge and the car will move forward and slip out of gear. i have read numerous blogs and nissan help blogs of owners that have maxima's between 2004-2006 all complaining of the exact same problem! i have taken the vehicle to multiple nissan dealerships and have had the transmission fluid changed twice! the car improved for a short time but is now doing the same thing. please do something and make nissan review this very serious problem. please help before someone gets injured or much worse. nissan corporate is slow to respond and aware that this is an issue and has in some cases replaced the transmission and in others denied a problem exists. it depends on the dealership and how great of an advocate they will be for you. this is clearly a safety issue. please help. the vehicle is unsafe to drive once this condition appears. thanks. *tr

I own a 2006 nissan maxima. i brought my car to the dealership because the car started shifting hard when going from first to second gear and 2nd to 3rd. it also has significant jerking when downshifting or trying to go to the next gear. the transmission slips as the engine rpm's rev as well. the car is bucking when i pull out onto a road and the gear feels like it's not catching so i'm afraid with that hesitation that someone will hit me from behind. a few times i felt like i had gotten whiplash it was jerking so badly. also, driving in reverse or even braking (slowing down) the car jerks and sounds and feels as though i'm being hit from behind. the car is jerking when accelerating. the car stalls then surges forward. *tr

2006 maxima with approx. 68k miles. car started to jerk and make a loud noise when shifting from drive to reverse and reverse to drive. car began to stall and surge forward. car now jerks on many gears and gets stuck on some. i stopped driving it when the rpm's shot up and the car took a while to kick into gear while driving home from a game. 1 week later i hesitantly decide to take it to a mechanic who says that he has noticed this transmission issue on a lot of 04 and 06 maximas. the part itself needed to be bought from nissan and cost $1,000. please investigate this defect so that it can become a recall. *tr

I have a 2006, nissan maxima se. i've been having severe problems with my transmission. the car jerks violently when its changes gears between 1st and 2nd, as well as between 2nd and 3rd gear. after doing research on this problem online, i've seen countless number of people who complain about the same problem. i called nissan and all they said was if there is ever a recall, then keep your receipt and you will be reimbursed. that's not good enough. so many people have experienced this problem from 2004 to 2008. i dont see how this could go on. a "reputable" company, such as nissan, putting out a product that they know is defective. its not fair to the consumer. to pay over $36,000 for a vehicle and to have a problem like this is wrong. what has to happen? do people need to die first before this problem is addressed? like the issue that toyota had in regards to their accelerators getting stuck. does someone have to bring this to the attention of a national media program, like dateline or 20/20 and bring to light how bad nissan is treating its customers and how the nhtsa isn't doing anything to help the public with this issue? i'm hoping that this letter will get through to someone who really cares and will take action to help the consumer get some justice. the president made an emphasis on companies putting out quality vehicles and helped bail out some of the auto makers. hopefully someone will help this consumer with this problem. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2006 nissan maxima. while driving 10 mph and switching from first to second gear, the gear shift jumped as if the vehicle was hit from the rear. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who was unable to produce any failure codes. the vehicle was taken to another dealer who also could provide no error codes. the contact called the manufacturer who offered no assistance. the vehicle had not been repaired. the failure mileage was approximately 84,000 and the current mileage was approximately 87,000.

Purchased 2006 maxima from alabama nissan dealership in 2008. well maintained. current oil changes , tire rotations and changes, always used premium fuel. ran great. until!!!!!!! in 2010 noticed i could feel gears shifting. took it to mechanic and he advised me that there should be a recall on this particular year due to transmission failure and that is extremely dangerous. now 8/2010 it shifts hard from 1st to second and back from second to first. this makes acceleration and deceleration extremely unsafe. surprised to see so many complaints similar to mine and nissan not fixing it. car only has 75,000 miles and it is unsafe to drive.. i am a single mom and always have children in my vehicle. i am contacting an attorney and taking the car to the dealership where i bought it and if no recourse i pray no one gets hurt.. including me cause i can see what happened with toyota and i really would hate for it to happen with nissan. *tr

I bought my 2006 nissan maxima se in 2007 with about 8k miles on it. the regularly maintained car now has a little under 81k miles and is having transmission problems. it started with the car jerking and a loud noise when shifting from drive to reverse and reverse to drive. now the car is jerking when accelerating. the car stalls then surges forward. i took my car to my local mechanic because i can not afford to pay the $100 fee the dealership charges just to look at the vehicle. i was told the transmission is deteriorating. i started looking for information about it and came across an abundance of testimonies from people with the exact experience as me all within the same mileage and it seems nissan is not doing anything about it. i guess someone will need to die before this issue is taken seriously. i am so done with nissan, is there anything legally that can be done for nissan to hear our voices for a recall to happen. its to many people with the same complaints for this issue not to be addressed. *ln

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 nissan maxima. the contact stated while driving approximately 35 mph and attempting to decelerate, the transmission exhibited a hard downshift. the vehicle was taken to a local transmission repair shop where a diagnosis was performed but no failure codes were produced. the vehicle was then taken to a local mechanic who replaced the transmission fluid, which did not correct the failure. the failure persisted and the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 96,000 and the current mileage was 110,000. updated 06/16/11*lj updated 06/27/11

My transmission begins to slip and jerk and get stuck now my car has 94000 miles on it the diagnostic computer reads shift malfunction and from what i have heard and read this is a fairly common problem for this model my aunt has the same car and hers has started doing it to. it is obviously not the consumers fault or anything the consumer could prevent i think nissan recall this because it is very dangerous when you are sitting at a red light and you car slips out of gear. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 nissan maxima. the contact stated that while attempting to accelerate from a stop, there was an increase in engine rpms but the vehicle was extremely resistant to acceleration attempts. after a few moments the vehicle jerked and shifted into gear. the failure intermittently recurred while accelerating from complete stops. the contact also stated that the vehicle would intermittently jerk while braking from any speed. the vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop where they were unable to diagnose the failure. the failure continued and the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 86,000 and the current mileage was 87,000. updated 05/04/11 *bf the consumer stated the transmission began slipping the consumer took the vehicle to the dealer, and the transmission fluid was flushed. updated 11/04/11

2006 regularly maintained nissan maxima with a little under 81k miles started jerking and making a loud noise when shifting from drive to reverse and reverse to drive. shortly after noticed that when accelerating car hesitates then surges forward. this happened once or twice a week, within 2 weeks started to occur more frequently and now whenever car shifts 1st to 2nd gear and vice versa. took car to mechanic who advised transmission is deteriorating and needs to be rebuilt. according to mechanic and internet, this is a common malfunction with nissan transmissions. *tr

My 2006 nissan maxima transmission starts slipping around 75,000 miles. when driving and it is switching gears around 20-30 mph it starts to jerk really hard. and also does the same when slowing down. *tr

Transmission shift delay from park to drive or reverse, transmission slip during acceleration as if in neutral then catches and jerks. *tr

I just bought a nissan maxima 2006 it is a really nice car, but i did start noticing that the shifting of gears specially from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd jerks, it's being like that lately, today when entering a busy street with my family in the car, the transmission sleeps and did not move , a truck almost hit the car, we stay parked on the middle of the road for 2 or 3 seconds until the car move again, but those 2 or 3 seconds can cost my hold family lives. i did start searching for this car defects and it looks like a very common issue, a defect from the factory and nissan and the government don't do anything about it. shame on nissan and the responsible party for making this big companies to sale safe and good quality products, and stand behind their product free of this type of defects, according to what i did find out, it is a transmission problem that it may cost thousands, and the factory knowing about it, don't lift a finger. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 nissan maxima. while driving at a speed of 55 mph or less, the vehicle would jerk excessively before shifting into gear. the dealer advised that the transmission valve and motor mounts were defective and would need to be replaced. the dealer advised having a diagnostic test performed on the vehicle before proceeding with repairs, at the contact's expense. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure and current mileages were 58,300.

Transmission problems with 2006 nissan maxima. transmission slipping. *tr

I own a 2006 nissan maxima with 89000 miles on it. recently, the car jerks when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. t\at low speeds, it revs to 5000 rpm and will not accelerate at stops. after researching online, i found many complaints of the exact problems word-for-word. some have been in accidents due to this uncontrollable problem. others have opted to park their vehicles due to the unsafe conditions. nissan is aware of the problem, but offers no recall or assistance. *tr

I purchased a 2006 nissan maxima in 2009 the vehicle with approx. 67,000 as fine for the first 2 months. here is where my problems started to occur, when turning towards the highway i accelerated to speed the car hesitated and was putting then the check engine light went on. once i returned from out of state i contacted the dealership empire nissan in lakewood, colorado and let them know what the situation was, the salesmen stated to disconnect the wire to the battery to reset the light, i did that and it went right back on after a couple of starts. i took the vehicle to a local mechanic where he said it was the oxygen sensor? it was replaced, then the vehicle was fine for awhile until the odometer read approx. 75,000 i noticed that if i was going down a hill at a fast pace then pushed the brakes to slow down the rpm's revved up to 5 and the engine would make a loud noise to accompany the rpm's at 5. vehicle has been worse ever since i noticed that, it then started to slip in gear, going from r to d or d to r once shifter is in place it would pause then jerk into gear. took the vehicle to aamco they stated that it was the motor mounts and also the fluids to the transmission. $700 later the vehicle is worse! now the car while in motion will kick and jerk hard in gear while the rpm's go all the way up to 5. when car comes to a stop with foot on the break car will jump forward. my latest incident is when at a stop and move to accelerate the car starts off as if it was in 5th gear! got the car home and put the shifter in manual transmission and it reads the engine is in 5th gear. i am a single mother of 4 young children, the car is so unpredictable, whether it is going to jerk into gear or completely stall out. there has to be something done with the transmission before someone gets killed driving this same type of car, there are several pages of complaints on the same issue with the same car, please please do a recall on the transmission of the 2006 nissan maxima!!!!!! *tr

For the past 12 months, our 2006 nissan maxima has been experiencing major transmission/power train issues that have made the vehicle extremely unsafe to operate. it began as severe jerking when shifting into gear, and has progressed to a nearly uncontrollable driving machine. there are multitudes of owners with similar issues, and the manufacturer has refused to acknowledge/address the issue. i have communicated with nissan's consumer affairs department and received no response whatsoever. it is so unsafe that i will not allow my 16 year old to drive the vehicle over fear and angst that she may unintentionally drive over a pedestrian or child. someone needs to pressure nissan to recall and address this major, known issue. *tr

I have a 2006, nissan maxima se. i've been having severe problems with my transmission. the car jerks violently when its changes gears between 1st and 2nd, as well as between 2nd and 3rd gear. after doing research on this problem online, i've seen countless number of people who complain about the same problem. i re-built the transmission at my expense of $3,200 and it wasn't over yet, then currently my check engine light is on and my car wont start, i would have to turn the key on and off 4-6 times every time i need to drive for it to start. my speedometer stopped working, therefore i can't see how fast or slow i'm driving nor is the mileage calculation are working it has been stuck at 86,745. so many people have experienced this problem from 2004 to 2008. i don't see how this could go on. while driving on the highway the electrical fails and the lights on the dashboard dim to where i am not able to control the vehicle and unable to use my signals for safety concerns, especially while traveling at night time. the vehicle shakes and is unstable at times. this is my only transportation to and from work and i need a solution to this problem. the sad part is that i have taken it to the dealer four times now and every time i pay these high fees for diagnostics and they can not give me a solution to my problem.

2006 maxima transmission is slipping it started slipping around 97,000 miles, i took my car to the shop about this problem and i was told that they could not find anything wrong, now it is getting worse, while i am driving the car jerks very hard and then it starts to not change out and when it does change out it speeds the car up. *tr

I recently purchased a 2006 nissan maxima se with 60,000 miles from a dealership here in tucson, az. after about 2 weeks, i started to notice the transmission was shifting rather rough. i also noticed it was "revving up" on its own when i would push the gas, and while it was trying to shift from 1st to 2nd gear, or from 2nd to 3rd. i also noticed a "jerking" while shifting, whether it be upshift, or downshifting. i took it to my mechanic and he could find absolutely nothing wrong with the vehicle. i went online to see if there were any other people having the same problems as myself, and i was horrified! i cannot believe there hasn't been a recall. toyota recently had a similar incidence where the gas pedal would push down, and the driver wouldn't be able to stop and would cause accidents! this is very similar to what's happening with the maxima. i don't understand why it must take a fatality, to make nissan do the right thing and fix the problem before anyone is hurt! *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2006 nissan maxima. while driving 10 mph , the vehicle slipped out of gear causing the vehicle to lunge forward. the dealer was contacted and stated that they were unable to offer her assistance. the transmission failure had become progressively worse over time. the vehicle identification number was not available. the failure mileage was 89,000 and the current mileage was 89,009. updated 09/15/10. *lj updated 09/16/10

Tl*the contact owns a 2006 nissan maxima. the contact stated that while driving 25 mph, the vehicle began to jerk and stall. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who stated that the transmission needed to be replaced. the manufacturer had not been notified. the failure mileage was approximately 75,000.

I brought my 2006 maxima new and had all kind of problems with the car at the very beginning. everything was under warranty, but when my car had about 62000 miles the car started slipping and missing gears so i took it back to the dealership and they told me that my transmission wasn't cover under the power train because there were 2 types of transmission put into the maxima and the one that my car had was not cover under the power train. i called nissan corporate offices and didn't get any satisfaction. i had to replace the trans and many other things on this car. i would not ever or suggest that anyone buy a nissan. i believed that nissan knew about this problem before the first complaint was ever made. same on you nissan

2006 nissan maxima not properly shifting jerks and hard bumps when accelerating or decelerating, sometimes the car feels like it's trying to change gears and is sucking for gas then the hard bump comes. it bump so hard doing acceleration the service engine light came on 2 days ago. i have been told by the local nissan dealership it's the motor mounts other repair companies says it's more serious and it's the transmission. i call nissan motor co. and was told their are no recalls, but when i looked on carsurvey.com and other sites a multitude of people are having the same problem. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 nissan maxima. the vehicle was experiencing recurring transmission failures in which it would jerk when shifted into reverse as well as hesitate while accelerating. the hesitations would occur when the vehicle was shifting from first to second gear. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the transmission was flushed. approximately one month later, the failure began to recur. the failure mileage was 70,000 and the current mileage was 72,667.

I purchased my 06 nissan maxima earlier this year. now i am faced with a problem with the transmission at only 90k miles. i looked online and found that an unbelievable number of consumers have had the same problem. this problem creates dangerous situations as the vehicle may slip out of gear in places where it can cause an accident. also when the engine revs due to gear slippage it can cause acceleration which could also cause an accident. there are nearly 100 complaints on just one blog i found, all relating to the 04-06 nissan maxima. http://www.consumeraffairs.com/automotive/nissan_maxima.html i think nissan needs to take action and get their problem fixed for their customers. *tr

1.on may 17, 2010 , i was involved in a car accident in my 2006 nissan maxima where someone had rear ended me very hard. after getting the car back from the body shop.i noticed that when shifting gears the car stalls and jerks violently. also when driving the transmission starts to slip , meaning i am pressing the gas pedal but the car isn't going anywhere , then it kicks back in place causing the car to jerk extremely ruff. 2. this problem so vaden nissan say that the transmission is going bad and the extended warranty that i have on the vehicle , basically the won't do anything until a service light or code shows up, which is absolutely crazy. it occurs every time i drive it. it seem to when the car warms up it begins to happen. 3. i have taken it to vaden nissan four times within a 3 month period. first they topped of the transmission fluid, second time the replaced the motor mounts, third time they replaced the starter and the fourth time, the service advisor told me i had to keep driving it until a service light came on . 3. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 nissan maxima .the contact was driving 15 mph when he noticed a hesitation and a violate jerk when attempting to accelerate. the vehicle was taken to the dealer four times with concerns of the failure but the dealer was unable to duplicate or locate a failure within the vehicle. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 75,000 and the current mileage was 91,000.

Automatic transmission seems to struggle from take off to shifting from 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. when brake pedal is released the vehicle makes a violent forward thrusting motion accompanied by loud crashing noise similar to that of being hit in a rear end crash. when driving the vehicle at speeds of 50 mph and above the gears can be heard shifting around as if the car is in neutral. the rpm gauge goes up to 3 and beyond and the engine can be heard revving up. when this happens i release my foot from the gas pedal and let the car shift back down until the noises stop. the nissan service team diagnosed the car as needing a transmission flush and fuel injection cleaning. these services were performed but the problems still remain.

Transmission problems in 2010, 2012,&2014(now) *js

2006 nissan maxima se power- 96,000 miles, train/ transmission is slipping in and out of gear between second, third, and fourth gears. it currently gets stuck in 5th gear on the freeway. on the city roadways i currently press on the gas pedal, the car will not move and all of a sudden slip into gear, causing a jerking sensation and sometimes making the car move into the other lane. when bringing the car to a stop, the car doesn't move out of gear and at the stop light the car will down shift; causing the car to move forward a couple of feet. many other maximas between 2004-2006 have been experiencing the same problems. their really needs to be a recall on the maxima between 2004-2006 models before someone gets hurt. *tr

The car begin hard jerking and slipping. took it to the nissan place and of course it was out of warranty. the car needs a transmission. whether its used or new its very expensive and the mechanic said its not going to do any good because the valve bodies in those transmissions are bad in all of those transmissions. so if i get another one the same thing is going to happen again. *tr
