My mazda 3 windshield is prone to chipping and cracking at the slightest impact. today, without any obvious impact while driving, a new 05mm crack developed. (please see attached images) this is the second windshield which developed a full-width crack from a slight impact at local street speed. the new windshield is mazda oem glass and has been installed for approximately 1 month. the vehicle is less than 1 year old.
Got alert regarding air bags while driving. also rear mirror fell off the plastic casing while driving on freeway. they both happened at different instances. but both happened when i was driving freeway and scared me. took into mazda dealer and they said that both were known issue and airbag issue is unannounced recall.
