While driving on a highway at approximately 65-70 mph, i heard like a gunshot and at first thought there was a terrible accident behind me. however, i immediately realized that there was a gaping hole in my sunroof. at the time, the temperature was approximately 92 degrees and the sunroof was closed. the inside cover, however, was open, so there was glass everywhere inside my car. i was traveling uphill at the time and there was no indication of any debris or rocks. my front windshield and the body of my car was fine. it was just the sunroof that seemed to explode on its own. mazda would not take responsibility for this incident. an insurance claim has been filed. *tr

Top front dashboard is melting. the material is now sticky and can't be cleaned because the rag/towel sticks. when touched black residue sticks to your hands and when driving the sun reflects off the shiny stickiness and causes a driving hazard on the windshield. *js

Hi, this morning i was driving on my way to work when all of a sudden my entire sunroof exploded and shattered. there was nothing that hit my car, nor nothing that hit my sunroof. i was traveling at 65mph on i-25 in albuquerque, nm. neither the sunroof nor the car have been changed in anyway from their stock form. the explosion of the sunroof was very scary and almost cause me to crash. *tr

I am the original owner of this vehicle, purchased brand new. in january 2010. the heater when turning on, made a loud clicking sound for approx. 20- 30 seconds, each time. upon research on the internet, local mechanics, i found out the heater blend door actuator is the problem. i was going to replace it, but upon further investigation i found that this heater assembly is not only used by mazda, nissan, toyota, chevy, ford, and lexus. this is heater is known to have this design error. also the dealer had unplugged the heater blend door actuator because this unit is known to start a fire in the vehicle. this made me extremely nervous. i consider this to be an unsafe vehicle.

Tl*the contact owns a 2010 mazda3. while driving 65 mph the vehicle lost power within a few seconds and the power steering light illuminated. the steering failed and the contact experienced electrical failure with the passenger door that could not be unlocked from the inside. the sunroof button also would not shut the sunroof. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing who was unable to locate a failure code; therefore, they stated that nothing was wrong with the vehicle. the manufacturer took report number 132669400. the failure mileage was 13,800. the current mileage was 13,900.

Heat is always hot. there is no temperature contol on the heater. *tr

Rear glass explosion on 2010 mazda 3 sedan. morning 16 degrees f. approached my car in the morning and heard a crackling noise. i thought the sound was ice. i started the car and the rear defogger. as i sat in my driveway ...approximately 30 seconds after turning on the defogger. the rear glass exploded with a load noise. glass was thrown into the rear passenger seats. the car is 4 months old and under warranty. i took the car to the dealer and they would not repair under warranty. i called mazda customer care at 1-800-222-5500 and was told that this is due to outside influence (ie the same as if a tree branch fell on the car). he indicated that i should expect that this could happen in the cold weather. i can not believe that i should expect that my rear window can explode in cold weather. if my children were in the rear seat they would have been potentially seriously injured by thrown glass. *tr

I was adjusting my rear view mirror on my new 2010 mazda 3 and it came off. when it came off it broke off a chunk of glass from the windshield. mazda refuses to repair the problem! *tr
