Takata recall - i am being told that it will be the first qtr of 2017 before they expect to have replacement parts. that is almost a year since the notice. we cannot use this car with more than the driver on board. this is an unacceptable delay in getting parts. honda had it done in a month. we would prefer not to be given a rental car.

Recall issue: local dealer in ca has not responded in a timely manner saying no air bags are available; has taken no interest with a priority list or any other action, despite my financial need to sell. falsely assured me front seat could be used by a passenger, but this cannot be confirmed online and would not provide written statement when called to confirm. i do no understand how other people with other brands, e.g. acura, (even newer with no pre-collision feature) have contacted dealer who ordered and replaced the takata air bag. how can this be expedited??? thank you *tr

Takata recall, this has been since may 2016, three months has passed. im told by lexus i cant have a passenger in the front seat. for three months my family has not been able to utilize this car . this is unacceptable.

Takata recall; this recall was made may 23, 2016. today is september 2, 2016. i live on the gulf coast of texas where the temperature often exceeds 95 degrees and humidity is extremely high. the manufacture "still does not have a remedy for this defect". in the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, striking the vehicle occupants, and result in serious injury or death. the manufacturer suggests that passengers should not ride in the front passenger seat of the vehicle!! this is a ridiculous statement, and makes the vehicle unusable for the purpose for which it was purchased. nhtsb should demand that lexus provide an immediate remedy to this extremely dangerous situation or they should be required to provide me with an alternative vehicle at their expense until they remedy the defect in my vehicle. to suggest my vehicle should not be used for the purpose of carrying passengers is not acceptable. they have known about these airbag defects for several years, and still do not have remedies. lexus should be required to provide me with a safe and serviceable vehicle now or refund me the purchase price of my vehicle so i can obtain a safe vehicle for my passengers and myself. thank you for helping me resolve this very dangerous issue. *tr

Takata recall. it has been many months since we were notified of the recall with no repair. how much longer does my wife have to sit in the back seat rather than the front passenger seat? i cannot take all of my grandchildren in my car without us using the front passenger seat. please speed up the repair.

Takata airbag recall was noted by lexus in may 2016. i have just been told by lexus that the repair will not be available until end of april or may 2017. basically, one year is an unreasonable amount of time for the defect to be repaired since for all this time no one can sit in the front passenger seat. lexus would rent a $30 per day car for me but i don't consider that a reasonable car for a replacement of a lexus es350. meanwhile, this makes a family sized car unusable for regular use.

Takata recall. lexus issued a recall notice in may 2016 and still has no remedy available. this is severely impacting my ability to use my vehicle, which is my primary family car. i firmly believe that lexus/toyota is failing in its duty to promptly correct this serious problem. blaming takata or waiting for takata to provide a solution is not enough. i'm so frustrated with lexus that i have decided to never again buy another lexus.

I have contacted the local lexus dealer - lexus of the monterey peninsula - numerous times to get the passenger side air bag replaced. they keep on telling me a replacement is not available.

Takata recall received interim notice safety recall over a year ago. have not heard or received anything else since. not repaired in "timely manner.

Takata recall its been over 2 years since originally receiving correspondence from lexus about the recalled air bags. i've called corporate and local dealers at least once per quarter to check status and more importantly if the products had been delivered to a remedy. i just received another notice from lexus stating the recall now had a remedy, but when you call local dealers, they don't have the parts, have no clue when more parts will arrive, and have to be place on a wait list with no idea of duration. i have young children who enjoy riding in the front seat, but can't because all the back and forth about blame and lack of a remedy. a recall of any kind should not take this long to find a remedy and fix affected vechicles.

We have complained about our air bag on the driver side for years before the recall. we have yet to get this corrected even after service claim to have repaired or replace airbag. i am asking for help on this situation it has been to long dealing with. now dealership asking me to pay additional monies and they are not sure what the problem is? we have not had any accident just airbag lights stays on.
