Drivers side door came open and would not stay closed. took vehicle into dealer who identified faulty door latch. i researched issue and learned that there had been a recall back in 2015 on the door latch for the same make/model and year of vehicle. i contacted range rover and they said my car was not included in the recall.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 land rover range rover sport. the contact stated that the driver's door failed to securely lock when the door was shut. the vehicle was taken to jaguar land rover farmington hills (located at 38200 grand river avenue, farmington hills, mi 48335, (248) 509-2990) where it was diagnosed that the door latch and cable needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 15v385000 (latches/locks/linkages). the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 66,600.
