Received another recall notice regarding the transmission oil cooler tube. had the vehicle inspected on jan 20, 2014. called the jeep dealership and was told again that they are receiving one part per week for the recall. the dealership was working on vehicle #17 and i was #42 in the waiting list. at one part being ordered per week, it will be at least another 25 weeks before i expect to hear that the part will be available. *tr

When i go to the gas station to fuel up, i engage the pump lock lever so the pump will fill up and shut off automatically when my gas tank is full. unfortunately, the fuel pump disengages too late, and an unbelievably excessive amount of fuel will spurt out, cascading down the side of my vehicle. 2 different dealerships have attempted to resolve the issue, yet the problem persists. i have filled up at gas stations across no less than 10 different states - from the west coast to the northeast; with a variety of fuel pump styles; amid various temperatures; yet the only variation is the velocity with which the fuel sprays from the pump. *tr

On saturday, i received the second notice for recall on my vehicle (n28). i have been trying for months to have this repair done and the dealer has a long list of customers waiting for parts. i am currently number 30 on the list. another local deal has 40 people waiting. this is ridiculous to wait 6+ month for repair parts for a recall. the recall was announced in june of last year and the dealer is getting 1 to 2 sets of repair parts a week. *js

i have been informed by mail that there was a recall involving the transmission oil cooler tube. when i call the dealership for service, i'm told they don't have the parts, can only order 1 part a month and that i would have to wait.....been over a year now. *tr

I got a recall notice, took the car in several months ago. i took my car in for inspection to dealer (chrysler, dodge, jeep) and they confirmed recall and said they would have to order the part. dealer now, two months later tells me the manufacturer is only releasing 1 part a week for recall correction. this seems to be a poor way of repairing recalls as the risk continues.. does chrysler take these things seriously? *tr

The affected parts in my 2013 jeep wrangler unlimited is the transmission (mileage 27,200). this event has occurred several times since the first time it was taken into the dealership in april 2014. i will be driving and the vehicle will not shift into gear (i have an automatic transmission). doesn't matter how fast or slow i am going or if i am on flat and hilly roads. i will have to punch the gas and accelerate to 60-65 mph before the gear shifts. it scares me especially when i am only driving 30-40 mph. the rpm's will be up to 5000 and finally the vehicle will shift gears. the first time it was serviced for the problem (april 3, 2014) the mechanic did have the problem happen to him when driving my vehicle. they found a vacuum hose disconnected from the air-inlet elbow. once they fixed that it seemed like the problem subsided briefly(3 weeks) then right back to gears not shifting. i have taken back to the dealership 2 other times now and they can not find anything wrong, of course!!! i love my jeep, but feel very unsafe when driving it. i am not sure what i should do now, especially with the mechanic saying he cant find anything wrong. *tr

I was notified of a safety recall (n28/ nhtsa 13v-234) over three months ago. i have called the dealership several times and they keep stating that the parts are not available. what kind of recourse do i have? *tr

On friday march 14, 2014 i was driving with my 1 year old daughter on harmony church road (route 704) on my way to my son's elementary school. my daughter was in a car seat in the back seat, directly behind the passenger seat. while en route, my 2013 jeep wrangler unlimited hit drifted to the shoulder of the road and the passenger side front tire was pulled into soft mud. i lost control of the vehicle. my vehicle was pulled to the right shoulder of the road and i went off the road. the vehicle struck a tree and various bushes. the loudoun county sheriff?s department and loudoun county fire and rescue responded to the scene. my husband and i recently put larger tires and rims on the jeep and a 3? lift kit. my husband commented that with the larger tires and the raised height, the jeep was more difficult to control on the road and i had noticed the vehicle visibly ?wander? on the road when i had followed my husband while he was driving the jeep. the sheriff?s department called my husband at home and he responded to the accident scene and took our daughter. i sustained injures in the collision, but my daughter was unharmed. the jeep?s airbags failed to deploy and i sustained a fractured nose, facial lacerations, facial contusions and a contusion to my sternum. i was taken by ambulance to leesburg hospital at 224 cornwall street. *tr

Chrysler has recalled my jeep: safety recall n28/nhtsa 13v-234, transmission oil cooler tube. my dealer lucas chrysler and jeep, 1624 new jersey 38, lumberton, nj 08048, told me that chrysler issues one part for this recall every 2 weeks. they also told me that they have a list of over 25 customers who need to have this recall performed. at that rate it would take me close to a year to have this dangerous condition corrected. i drive 120 miles/day to and from work. this dangerous condition is unacceptable. *js

Safety recall n28/nhtsa 13v-234. notified the dealer 4 months ago that i received a recall. they have ordered the part but still have not received it. they state that chrysler only ships them the parts for one repair a month. if they sold only 12 jeeps a month over the 2 years the recall spans that will take them 288 years to get all the repairs done. *tr

There is a power train recall on my jeep. the dealership cant get the part in. we got the notice in the summer. how long do they have to fix this, and what steps can i take now? my car is in the shop now for another problem with the electrical system that there is a service bulletin for. i asked the service person what would happen if the part in question broke before it was available and she told me that chrysler told the dealerships to "put a bandaid on it"?? my child drives this jeep! *tr

This is complaint related to safety recall notice n28/nhtsa 13v-234 (transmission oil cooler tube). last year i had received a safety recall notice n28/nhtsa 13v-234 from chrysler. as instructed in recall notice i scheduled an appointment with dealer- magnussens dodge chrysler jeep, located at 1901 grass valley hwy, auburn, ca 95603, ph (530)885-2900. on 02/05/2014, i brought my vehicle in to get safety recall repairs done. mr. brian evans #1028, who is a service advisor with magnussen, stated they did not have a required part. i found this situation rather strange. two weeks before my appointment i was reassured that part would be there. since i was already there with my vehicle i brought to his attention unrelated to safety recall notice mechanical issue (possible squeaking belt noise). after inspection of my 2013 jeep with 10k on odometer, they told me that it needs a new water pump? they replaced, free of charge, a water pump (invoice 189828). they hold my jeep in their shop for two days. communications with service advisor/department were horrible. i have to spend significant amount of time just to locate and contact their service manager in order to know when my vehicle will be ready for pick up. when i finally picked my jeep up on 02/07/2014 [xxx]. told me again that required transmission oil cooler tube would be there soon. he promised this replacement part ??will be reserved for my vehicle?? and he will contact me as soon as he gets it??. here we are in the beginning of month may?. i am still waiting to hear from magnussens dodge chrysler jeep. all my attempts to contact said service advisor went nowhere. moreover, thanks to magnussens i am driving this unsafe jeep every day. as of today no part replacement mandated by chrysler recall was done. now what? information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

Received safety recall notice n28 / nhtsa 13v-234 transmission oil cooler tube which affects some 2012 and 2013 jeep wrangler vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission. i contacted our jeep dealer right away and the response i received from them was there is a national backorder on the part in question and they have no idea when it will be available. i had them place me on a list that extended into 2015 for replacement when and if they get the part. *tr

No incident on the road as occurred. i received a recall notice stating there is a defect related to the transmission oil cooler tube which may increase the risk of crash. i have contacted the dealer (quirk) where i purchased my jeep (brand new) on two occasions. both times the dealer stated that there is a long wait for the part to be ordered or made and would not take action to help provide a solution to this issue. dealer has stated that chrysler only makes one part every two weeks. i am not interested in waiting for a crash to happen but rather have my vehicle repaired safely. is there any measure vehicle owners such as myself can take to fix our vehicles in a timely manner before safety incidents occur? thank you for your help. *tr

I have received safety recalls back to january of this year on getting a transmission oil cooler tube on the vehicle repaired. i have contacted the dealership every time and multiple times between notices. i was put on a long waiting list. during the past almost 7 months one time they did have the part and did schedule me for an appointment to have it repaired but i had to miss the appointment due to another conflict. i called right away to reschedule and they informed me they would have to use the part on another jeep then. that was over 2 months ago when they then told me i was number 6 on the list and it would be about 2 weeks not 2 months. this is the egolf dealership in hendersonville, nc. *tr

I took my vehicle in for recall on the nhtsa campaign id no. 13v234000 was told parts had to be ordered. today (3 months later) i was notified that it will be several more months because the manufacturer is only allowing the dealership to order 1 part every 10 days and i'm still down on the list. i find this totally unacceptable. after 3 months i still need to wait several months to have a recall completed? *tr

I keep taking my vehicle in for safety recall n28/nhtsa 13v-234 transmission oil cooler tube, but the dealer says they don't have the part, and to come back later. it has been three and a half months since i received the notice for the recall, and they have failed to inform me when they have the part, and to fix it. the dealer is: farrish dealership in fairfax virginia. *tr

Safety recal n28 / nhtsa 13v-234 - transmission oil cooler tube, dealer cannot remedy this defect in a timely manner (may take 1 to 2 years) due to jeep corporate requirements of only one part can be ordered by each dealer every 2 weeks. i am on a waiting list, but they cannot tell me when my problem will be fixed. *tr

We received the recall notice on 1/9/14 (n28) that our transmission oil cooler tube needed to be replaced. i called our dealer to make an appointment and be sure that the part was available. i heard back from the dealer that the replacement tube was on back order, that chrysler was sending the parts to dealers in batches every three weeks, that i was now on a waiting list, and it could take months before i was able to have the recall repair completed, as chrysler was not providing the part to its dealers fast enough. i was told to call back every three weeks to find out my wait list status. when i asked what would happen if my transmission went out before the repair, the gentleman on the phone said that i could sue chrysler! if the nhtsa has required a recall by chrysler, chrysler needs to make these parts available quickly and, if i just received the recall notice, how can there be a waiting list for the part at my dealer? *tr

I received a recall on the transmission oil cooler tube for the above vehicle. the parts are on restriction and as a result can only be ordered every 16 days. they typical waiting list is 10 to 15 people which means i will be waiting at least 160 days for this repair. the recall acknowledgement began in june 2013. the company has had 6 months to stockpile the parts necessary to make repair rather than send out the notice and then force customers to wait 6 months, possibly with a faulty vehicle, for the repair. this is unacceptable. *tr
