Tl* the contact owns a 2004 jeep liberty. as the contact was pulling into her driveway, the lower ball joint disconnected from the vehicle. the vehicle was lowered onto the tires. the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the lower ball joint was unable to be oiled, which caused them to loosen and detach from the vehicle. the vehicle was repaired. the dealer was not contacted. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 120,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2004 jeep liberty. the contact noticed that the inside of the tires were worn. the contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who stated that the lower control arm and ball joints were separated and needed to be replaced as soon as possible. the dealer was not contacted. the manufacturer was contacted and stated that there were no recalls and suggested the contact call nhtsa. the failure mileage was 153,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2004 jeep liberty. the contact stated that while the driver was at a stop light and preparing to make a left turn, the rear end of the vehicle started to slide, the driver was attempting to gain control of the wheel but crashed in a ditch. the driver and front passenger did not sustain any injuries. the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where a check courtesy inspection was completed. the results were unknown. the vehicle was not repaired. in addition on another occasion, the contact stated that while coming onto a freeway and was merging into traffic, the vehicle circled to the right and the rear end was veering to the right. the contact did a complete circle and released the accelerator pedal. the contact coasted to the side of the road and waited before proceeding to drive. the dealer and the manufacturer were not contacted. the approximate failure mileage was 139,455.
Takata recall lower control arm broke ball joint. enhanced corrosion, 150k miles car was in reverse at a gas station and the car shifted downwards no warning.
Turning with noise on the freeway and street. clicking when pushing brakes.

Broken right rear control arm. almost caused a major accident,also broke universal joint. now that i fixed those issues , steering on the front now is going out

Ball joints are worn down, if they slip control will be lost of the car. ball joints are unusually worn down for my car with such little miles out onto it.
My steering wheel is hard to turn makes a loud noise sheathed my car is warmed up or not it has power steering
Tl* the contact owns a 2004 jeep liberty. the contact received a recall notification for nhtsa campaign number: 18v278000 (suspension); however, the parts were not available. the dealer (lithia chrysler jeep of reno, located at 3223 mill st, reno, nv 89502, 775-501-8593) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. the manufacturer was not notified of the issue. the contact had not experienced a failure. parts distribution disconnect.
I contacted the dealership after my car demonstrated issues related to a recall. they never follow up. they just keep saying they will reach out and thendon't. i lost control of the back end when i make a right hand turn.
Have not been notified of any recalls and when i called the dealer they said i didnt have any recalls but when i check in the date base it said i had two recalls; i would like to get notified of the recalls by a dealership.
