Received brake booster recall notice p14. called to schedule appointment to have it fixed. was informed that part may not be available for 16 weeks. called chrysler recall assistance center. was informed that each dealership gets one part per week and i could be put on another dealerships waiting list. i could be driving around with faulty brake parts for an undetermined length of time. *tr

I've called dodge nielson in east hanover, nj 07936 back in june to bring my car in for a part. i received a letter in the mail few weeks prior in regards to a safety recall "brake booster". it is now september and they have told me no parts have been received. winter is right around the corner and this specific part is quite important in the winter months coming. i am getting worried with timing. please advise. vin [xxx] notification code p14 p14/nhtsa 14v-154 information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

I bought the car brand new from safford chrysler jeep dodge of warrenton, va. the car makes noises because of a defective absorber, which has been clearly determined in a manufacturer tsb. also the car has a safety recall for brake booster issues. i took the car to the dealership (safford chrysler jeep dodge of warrenton, va) last june 14, 2014 and they have recognized both issues but didn't have the parts needed in stock to do the repairs. after 2 months and several calls we are getting the same excuses and the repairs are still due. i am afraid they dealership is doing everything to avoid the repair and probably down the road say the car is not under warranty anymore. in the meantime we have a car with a recall and tsb issue that is not getting better. *tr

I received a recall notice in the mail. i immediately called my local jeep dealership to see about fixing the problem. this call was made in june 2014. it is now january 2015 and nothing has been done to fix the (now three) recalls i have on my jeep. i keep getting told i am "on the list." the last time i called the man in the parts department was very rude and i was told they "only get in one part per week" and there are "over 300 people on the list"...this is unacceptable! these recalls have not been dealt with in a timely or safe manner. a brake booster problem, sun visor wiring, and now the alternator.. who knows when these will be fixed! with these problems i do not feel as safe in my jeep, i may end up getting rid of it if someone does not take the time to fix vehicles that have recalls. this is our safety, send more than one part per week so we can feel safe in the vehicle i chose to buy! *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2012 jeep grand cherokee. the contact received a recall notification of nhtsa campaign id number 14v154000 (service brake , service brakes, hydraulic) and stated that the part needed was unavailable to perform the repair. the dealer advised the remedy part would not become available until three weeks. the manufacturer was not notified of the problem. the contact had not experienced a failure.

I responded to a safety recall concerning a brake booster for the above referenced vehicle. the recall notice stated that after an inspection of the issue, if a repair or replacement of parts were needed, the repair would be performed at that time. however, i was informed that they (the dealership) do not have the parts on hand, and that it will take about two months to get those parts in. this is unacceptable. if the manufacturer sends out a safety recall, then they should have already supplied the dealerships with those parts. and at the very least, if it was going to be necessary to order those parts, there is no excuse for it taking close to two months to receive. i also take issue with the statement that "it's ok to drive your car until the parts get here". if it's considered so safe, why the need for a safety recall? *tr

Recall p14 / nhtsa 14v-154 i got this recall notice and called the dealer on june 5 to have the repair made. they said they did not have parts yet and would put me on the wait list and that i will be notified when the parts are available. i called again on july 18 (6 weeks later) and they said they still did not have parts and again said that i'd be notified. it is now december, over 6 months later, and i still have received no notice for this. i just called again and have finally been scheduled for january. i don't know how much of the fault is the manufacturer and how much the dealer, but it shouldn't be 7 months to fix a safety issue with my brakes. and if i'm told that i'd be notified when it can be scheduled, then i should be notified and not have to repeatedly call back. *tr

We've had odd pedal firmness issues, then received a jeep recall, brought it in and they confirmed (after a horrible customer service experience) that our car has the flawed part, and then gave it back and said they can't do the recall now and will let us know? after contacting customer chat and the call center of jeep na we have discovered there is another recall for the abs that is likely causing the issue. our local dealership didn't mention this recall at all and had no problem sending us back on the road with a vehicle with brake defects. i tried addressing it at the local and manufacturer level and they won't even address my safety concerns. they just apologize i am dissatisfied. *tr

When received a safety recall notice for the brake booster prematurely corroding back in june 2014. i called ancira chrysler jeep dodge to schedule a service appointment on 4 june 2014. i was told i would receive a call in about two months when the parts come in. i called back on 4 september because i received a different recall notice but for the sun visor vanity lamp wiring risking fire...i was told the parts for the brake booster were still not in stock. it is now 24 december 2014 and i receive another safety recall notice for the brake booster. please assist on how i am to get safety recall notice p14 and p36 repaired on my vehicle. *tr

Received recall notice p14 / nhtsa 14v-154 (brake booster) on 5/31/14. contacted earnhardts gilbert jeep / dodge on 6/2/14 (gilbert, arizona) . was advised to bring vehicle in to service dept. on 6/3/14 by appointment for inspection. was also advised that parts would have to be ordered. arrived on 6/3/14 and was informed no inspection would take place until parts arrived "2-3 weeks" later. it was my distinct impression, via initial phone call to dealer and subsequent initial visit, that dealer / personnel were not as familiar with recall as one would think they should be. i also understand the recall issue at hand but at this juncture my wife and i will be waiting 2-3 weeks, perhaps, to have the issue resolved. i find it difficult to believe that chrysler does not have necessary parts at the time of recall notification to rectify brake booster issue. I am not sure if this is the correct place to complain. but i received a recall for my brake booster ( which i am not sure what it is, but anything to do with brakes has to be important) months ago. i reach out to the dealership saying i receive the letter in the mail about my brakes and i need this fixed and they said well they only send us one part at a time. so when we fix one we have to send the old one in and wait for a new one so we will put you on the list to get the part. so i called back a month later to find out that the recall part has been recalled which is ridiculous. so here i am the end of september still trying to get by brake booster fixed, not knowing if my brakes will fail or not. i shouldn't have to wait to get into an accident for something to be done. my car isn't a cheap car i have paid good money for this and if something isn't safe there it should be fixed and i shouldn't have to worry about it. can you please help me if you can not can you lead me in the right direction. thank you in advance *tr ...

I received a recall notice. when i contacted my dealership they stated they have not received any parts for this recall from chrysler. the took my name for a list to call me when parts become available. it is now 6 months later and the dealership still doesn't have the part for this recall. i feel this is an unreasonable amount of time to have to wait for parts especially as important with a component of a vehicle such as brakes. *tr

My wife has contacted the jeep dealership in fayetteville ar about her brakes not feeling correct and took the jeep in to get checked and was told no recall had been issued. within 2 weeks there was a recall however we have been told after the recall came it would be 5-7 business days for the part to come in. we are over two months later with no resolve and not feeling any better over the issue. multiple phone calls and me going in person to the dealership we are now told sorry we can not tell you how long the wait will be for our part to come in. if there is such a severe issue that is causing fatalities then why is it when someone reports having had issues with the way the brakes felt once applied why is nothing being done at this point? this is our primary vehicle for our family and the news on the recalls is steady getting worse. we understand thousands of people are affected but how long is the final wait going to be? should i be preparing for getting another vehicle so i don't have a death trap going into the winter? we like the vehicle but at this point the issues needs to be resolved in a more timely manner, as to if it will be fixed before a set date or the complete buy back of the vehicle. *tr
