I shut the vehicle off and went back to start. i was able to turn electronic key the electronics came on but it wouldn't turn the engine over. went back the next day and it did start, took to spirit jeep, swedesboro, nj. they ran diagnostics and determined to be win module. contacted chrysler and told it was not part of the recall, i am having fixed anyway. prior to this there were two incidents that may be related, around a month or two before the motor turned off while in traffic, i shifted to neutral and restarted. i thought i may have hit the key with my knee. the second incident was that the airbag alarm on the dash came on, had it diagnosed at a local garage and they said that it was the passenger seatbelt was defective so i believe he disarmed the airbag. after looking online it seems that these are repetitive problems with chrysler products. and are related to the l25 recall. this is no cheap fix $750 for module and 2 keys. anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated. *tr

Chrysler has a recall for my 2008 jeep grand cherokee for the ignition switch p57/nhtsa 14v-567. the part is not available to repair my vehicle and they do not have an estimated or actual date this part will be in. chrysler refuses to accommodate the customers with a loaner vehicle. why is chrysler not accountable for my car troubles after the recall (which i never received a recall notice)? the government fined chrysler 70 million dollars and will fine additional monies if the vehicles are not repaired. why am i suffering and not being accommodated with a working vehicle when the billion dollar industry (chrysler) has a mishap? my experience: - when vehicle ignition is turned off it only goes the way, the key fob sticks and will not exit. this causes the radio clock light and the gear shift panel to stay lit, which in turn drains the battery. (had to purchase a jump start kit $70.00 + tax) for when the battery is dead. -since, the key will not exit the ignition i must leave my work area at least twice a day (sometimes more) to check, if the key fob will come out. once it took 11 hours before key would exit, after running the engine for over 3 hours. i am in jeopardy of losing my livelihood if this issue continues for much longer. it has been going on for months. the recall started november, 2014. how long will i suffer, because i dont have money to purchase a different vehicle and why does this always affect the most unfortunate individuals like me. -there is a 90% chance that my vehicle will be stolen (since key is left in the ignition). i work in durham, nc on the week-end; i pray that i will be able to get back to raleigh if this happens. i cry most nights in fear of losing my jobs. please, help me!!!!!!

The vehicle has shut off randomly with key in on position, once happening while driving. dealer states there is no open recall on this and to remove key rings from keys. only thing inserted at time of issue is key fob removed from emergency access key so not a key weight issue, driver is short so knee can not contact at all. *tr

I was driving the vehicle at 68mph on the freeway when the airbag light came on. three minutes later the car indicated that the rear passenger door was open (which it was not). about 30 seconds later the passenger side-curtain airbag deployed which almost caused me to crash because it was so loud. *tr

Was advised of recall 14v567000 affecting my vehicle about 6 months ago. was told no parts available to repair ignitions. about 3 months ago started to have starting problems with ignition. contacted dealer and told that we had to keep waiting for parts. now vehicle is horrible to try to get the ignition to start. have to keep turning key fob back and forth. contacted dealer again for ignition repair and we were told only to contact chrysler customer assistance. contacted chrysler and they told us to get car serviced. but service dept says they can't replace ignition without approval on limited parts from chrysler. giving us a headache and inoperable car. made a complaint to them and now they told us we misunderstood directive from service. they got service to allow us to schedule brining in car. next available date of service is in three weeks. and we have to pay costs upfront as no parts available still for this recall that was issued over 6 months ago. getting frustrated with inoperable car. *tr

I was notified of a recall earlier this year concerning the wireless ignition node (win). when i went to the dealership i was told that the part in question was on back order (part # r57xbn) and was told to check back to see when they would come in. about three or four weeks ago i stopped in at bob and chuck eddy, 4850 mahoning avenue, austintown, ohio and spoke with santana williams who made an appointment for me today at 9:30. when i arrived to drop of my vehicle i was told that they was no appointment for me. i then explained the issue and handed him her card with my appointment information on it. i was then told not to worry they will take care of me. at this point the person i was talking to disappeared for a while and upon returning informed me that the part was not in. he then gave me the part number and told me to call every week until it came in and then they would schedule an appointment. it appears that the plan is to just keep putting it off until i get an accident or just trade in the vehicle.

We were driving down the road and the jeep shut off. no power at all. wheel locked and we about crashed. thought maybe the ignition kicked back. (recall). nope there wasn't any power at all after trying to restart the jeep. called the dealer. they said chrysler is aware of the win failing and are aware of the tsb but refuse to recall the jeeps because they say it's too expensive to recall all the vehicles affected by these issues. so to recap.... we almost crashed the jeep at 55mph which would have killed my wife, our young twin boys, and myself. but for chrysler to recall these vehicles would be too expensive. so after a $200 tow bill and 2 hours in -20 degrees in an ohio winter with no heat the jeep still won't start. after a little bit of research i've have discovered that the chrysler electrical systems are very poor and any static electricity will short them out. please do something about these issues before someone loses a family member or their own life. i will gladly sell this vehicle back to chrysler for the amount i paid. i have paid 10k and owe 9k still. please force them to do something! anything at all!
