On multiple occasions, my vehicle has shown symptoms that appear to be related to the recent chrysler ignition switch recall. one persisting problem is when i am driving with my headlights on, the interior lights (dashboard, radio, and climate control illumination) and all exterior lights (headlights, tail lights, and any other illuminated position lights) will rapidly flash on and off. currently, my remedy for this problem, when it is happening, is to turn on the turning indicator which appears to return the lights to normal. more recently, while leaving my neighborhood, all of my dashboard warning lights illuminated and then the dashboard went dark all together. the remedy for this problem was to turn the car completely off and back on again. last but not least, while traveling about 65 mph on a highway, my knee bumped the ignition key which switched the car to the accessory position, rendering the car powerless.

When driving at night or when lights must be used during day light hours the lights in the cluster panel go out and come back on or dim and the return to their original brightness. when the turn signal "stalk" is puled in or pushed in everything is ok for a few miles. also, once in a while dashboard lights go off and on and chimes go off and on. this is occurring more frequently.

Vehicle has stalled while in drive at various speeds, in reverse or idling at a stop. this issue has been ongoing for over 2 years - has been brought to the dealership; was never told there was a recall on the ignition switch until i brought recently to midas for the above issues. they advised the engine shuts off due to the ignition switch being faulty. there has also been occasions that the abs seems to engage while in drive, typically occurs when turning. unknown if this is associated with the faulty ignition switch. was told by chrysler that the recalled part would be available as of september 11, 2015 - it is still not available. this vehicle is unsafe to drive.

While driving my 2006 jeep grand cherokee my headlights and dash light being to flash uncontrollably. i had to pull the vehicle into a parking lot and leave it till the morning. i have read hundreds of complaints but no one has the exact fix for the problem.

I received a recall notice for an ignition switch, last summer. i contacted fox negaunee, which is the only jeep dealer in marquette. i was told that they did not have enough parts on hand to complete all the vehicles at the time, and they would get back to me and put me on a list. that was the last time i heard from them. it has been about 9 months. recall number,p41/nhtsa 14v-438

While parked the car will rotate between not cranking to starting but shutting completely off. in addition to these issues while driving 40 mph the vehicle will sometimes stall and engine will start to lose power. i took the vehicle into cutter dodge in honolulu for repair on 8/25. they diagnosed the problem as a ignition switch recall but they didn't have the part to fix it at this time. in addition, stated that the wireless control module(wcm) had failed and needed to be replaced. while the car was there they also performed a 28 point inspection and didn't find any additional concerns. nine days later the wcm part come in from canada and was replaced. my vehicle was returned to me on 9/2. the car ran as intended at times for 9 days and on 9/12 the no crank, no start issue returned. as of the time of this formal complaint the vehicle will not start. in a closing, the issues the car was experiencing prior to taking it to the dealership for repair or exactly the same issues that i'm experiencing today. i will have the jeep towed back to the dealership first thing sunday morning.

I have been receiving recall notices from chrysler since september 2014. i did everything the recall notice prompted me to do until the parts came in. i called the dealership 3 times over the last year to see if the parts came in. i really did not have any issues until august 3,2015. i was driving down the street and my car just turned off. i had no power steering but i was able to pull over with no problem and there was no traffic around me. i new it was the ignition switch issue so i called the dealer and they told me the parts for that recall are not available so there is nothing that can be done. this is my only form of transportation and i am a nursing student and can not afford to buy a new car. i have continued to drive it and on 3 separate occasions it has turned off while i was driving. luckily i have either been in slower traffic or sitting at a stop light. this week on 3 occasions i went to start my car and it would not start. i called aaa but by the time they arrived it started again. the jeep dealership told me i should not drive the car, i asked them if they could get a car for me to drive until the parts come in since this is a safety issue due to their recall and they said they could not do that. this is the only transportation i have. i go to school full time, am doing my clinicals and perceptorship at the hospital and work part time to pay my rent. i do not know what i am supposed to do if they do not have the parts to repair my car and this could be a life threatening problem. yesterday (9/23/2015) i stopped by baxter jeep in omaha, ne to see if they could get me in to check my car because it didn't start the first time i tried to start it that morning. they told me they couldn't get it in until october 7. i went to another auto repair servicer and they confirmed it was the ignition switch pertaining to the recall.

The ignition appeared to drop all gauges, blower, warning lights, etc. the entire dash went dead and all controls went dead as far as gauges, interior lights, fan motor, etc., although the vehicle appeared to keep running. the problem seems to be getting worse and worse, and we have been waiting over a year for jeep to get the parts to replace the switch. they refuse to replace the switch with a new switch matching the same part number, but also have not secured replacement switches. it appears that they can continue to source switches for cars in production they wish to sell, just not the ones affected by this recall. perhaps if someone halted sales of new cars until the auto manufacturers provided replacement parts for those under recall, we would have better performance on recalls.
