First we weren't able to take vehicle home the day we signed the finance papers, 8/19/18, due to battery being dead. we then picked up car on 8/20/18. kept vehicle till around the 23rd. the jeep cherokee turned off in traffic and went into battery protection mode. we had to put car in park and restart. we were almost rear-ended. i then called dealership to talk to salesman and he was busy so i asked for manager who then told me that the salesman would call me back. when i told salesman about the incident i was told to drive with start-stop function off and to wait till next day to see if it did it again. the vehicle didn't start in the morning and then tried second time and it turned on in battery protection mode so i took it in to dealership and was given a loaner. we then picked up cherokee on or around 8/31/18. we were told the battery was recharged. the cherokee then started to turn off again in traffic so i took it back on 9/5/18. i was given another loaner. i was then told to pick up cherokee on 9/18/18. i was told that they didn't find anything and couldn't recreate the incident. ever since we received the cherokee back on the 18th we keep the start-stop function off. now the tire pressure sensors keep coming on and off and the gas is going at a faster rate then before. not sure if sensors are working correctly. took car back to dealership on sunday 10/14/18 and was told to call service the next day because they had no loaners. today 10/21/18 vehicle turned off while driving out of parking space. car restarted but do not trust driving this vehicle with my family inside. there has been several times the vehicle didn't accelerate while stepping on the gas pedal.
Air conditioner has not worked since i purchased in 2018. when the car is in motion or sitting still the car does not cool properly and everyone complains of being hot in the car. i have seen in the interior of the car on the passengers side water dripping and puffs of smoke coming from the drivers a/c vent this has happened twice it looked like a cloud of condensation. the first time i was driving to florida and the smoke hit me in the face and it scared me, i could have had an accident. the most irritating thing is that i hear the a/c compressor while it's working the noise is loud and distracting. this issue has been going on from august 2018 to current date.
Takara recall just bought this vehicle a month ago and it's has been turning off on few times while driving on the highway with my family. it's not awhile i'm at the stop sign or light, it's while i'm actually driving. i had to press the button again in order to turn back on
My radio cuts in and out on most fm stations
I bought my 2019 jeep cherokee lattitude plus 4x4 and from day one the radio has acted up. i have taken it back to the dealer 4 times for them to resolve the problem they put in a new radio one time, a antenna, the next and said they did some rewireing. what happens is when i start my vehicle either the radio will play or it wont ( well plays but you cant hear anything unless you turn the volume way up all most maximum before you can start to hear it). after each time they said they had it fixed. it also when not working when you hit search stations it will go from 95.9 and keep going with out stopping back to 95.9 so no stations on search to stop on.they said they are not sure what to do next if it acts up.so after being frustrated i did a search on my jeep and found this web page with other people some with the exact same vehicle as mine having the same problem. i did have video but not sure how to get it off of google photos to put on here.the radio only does it on start up and might work the next time and not the next or work a few times then not the next you never know when it will act up. here is the website with others having the exact same problem as me. https://www.cargurus.com/cars/discussion-t77884_ds954131 so can someone help me out / let me know what to do next thanks...(xxxxx) parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
When a phone call comes in, the ring volume is extremely high. it is heart stopping, it makes you jump, you are distracted in traffic trying to quickly turn it down before you even think to answer it. i've read hundreds of comments from other jeep owners on-line that have the same problem. i was told by jeepcare that the car is "operating as designed" and they can't adjust the default volume down from the volume level of 15. it will cause an accident because of the huge distraction it causes on that first ring when driving. jeep doesn't seem to care at all.
Radio august 2018 drove for about 6 hours. stopped for dinner. started the cherokee no radio. with out the radio nothing works ( no ac/heat, navigation, phone etc. ). bought the 2019 cherokee in may 2018. july of 2018 the radio was replaced ( refurbished radio / not a new radio } volume problem. so this is the second radio in this vehicle ( not happy with a refurbished radio in a new vehicle that is just months old ) , dealer/chrysler keeps doing systems updates that don't work. at least once a week the radio will not turn on and when the radio doesn't turn on i cannot operate any of the internal systems because the screen is blank.
This is in reference to my 2019 jeep cherokee latitude plus. the radio fades in and out most of the time. after initial startup it may or may not work properly. if it does not work (fades in and out) then it will not correct itself. the only way to possibly get the radio to work properly would be to restart the vehicle. then it may or may not correct itself. this happens on the am/fm stations. it does not happen while using sirrus radio. this occurs about 75% of the time on startup. 25% of the time it works properly. when it is not working, there is only one or two stations that will be able to be tuned if using the auto tuning button. it will tune to the one station (however, it still fades in and out). the dealer has replaced the radio to no avail. they are trying the antenna however there are several owners who report that does not work either. although this is not necessarily a safety concern it is still a major problem with my $33,000 vehicle. we need to know how to get this rectified. this has been happening since the day i picked up my vehicle.
The tail lights become clouded due to condensation that appears after the running lights have warmed up the inside of the tail light housing. this occurs in all weather conditions. condensation does dissipate or fade away when lights and the car have been turned off and stationary for some time.
