I leased a loaded qx60 from sawgrass infiniti. one of the features of the car was a 120v plug in the second row with a max 150w rating. this was a key feature for us as our son has a condition that requires a breathing machine to be plugged in so he can receive medication each day while in the car. as it turns out, the voltage on the outlet may be 120v, but the rating is definitely not correct. after a minute of working, the outlet shuts off. and then a few minutes later, it might come back on for a minute or so. i tested the machine and it gets no where near the max wattage rating on a volt meter. i contacted infiniti multiple times and they said that the vehicle is working as designed (in other words, go away, we don't want to think about fixing all our vehicles with a defect). after owning the car (lease) for 3+ months, nothing has been done and i have to bring my own inverter into the car and plug it into the cigarette lighter outlet so that the machine can work properly without shutting off in the middle of a treatment. fact is, the 120v plug outlet in the vehicle does not work as was promised to me by the dealer, nor does it meet the specifications advertised by the manufacturer right on the outlet cover. i've been after them ever since i purchased the car to come up with a solution and they have been avoiding the issue and non-responsive as of late. the car obviously has an engineering flaw in its electrical and /or fusing which will not allow this outlet to provide power as described.
