Recently reported ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING problems on 2010 Infiniti M35

I was driving on i-5 north ca going between lathrop and stockton where the speed limit is 70 mph when my vehicle's engine seemed to shift into neutral. i barely had enough power to get off the fwy ramp where it was safe to park. i then had the car towed to an infiniti dealer and had them check the car. after the car was hooked up to a diagnostic machine, i was told that the right mass air flow sensor-22680-7s00a needed to be replaced. i was also told that when this sensor went bad, the engine goes into a neutral mode or close to shutdown mode to prevent damage to other parts of the engine. once the engine problem was diagnosed, the part was replaced and the car functioned fine. what surprised me was that the service technicians were aware of the problem. this causes me great concern because there was no warning lights to indicate a problem before, during, or even after the engine malfunctioned. the car had to be hooked up to a machine to detect what was wrong. i was so frighten when this occurred because i could have been rear ended as a result of the car losing power in a matter of seconds. i replaced the left mass air flow sensor because i don't want to ever be in that same situation again. i don't feel safe driving this vehicle! *tr
