Recently reported UNKNOWN OR OTHER problems on 2007 Infiniti M35

I have noticed my dash is melting terribly bad its now has soft spots and is now super sticky from melting and cracking and chiping off in some areas where it has melted and then cracked as it hardened back. if i try to clean it with cleaner made for dashes the color just smears and the dash material its self smears and any kind of car cloth just leaves patches of stuff from the dash being sticky and melted. this has been a common problem i am finding all over the web. why are our dashes not being fixed? this can cause major issues if i was to get into a wreck and the dash just crumbles or squishes because its melted.

My drive shaft broke while i was on the highway driving at 65mph. the drive shaft then bang a massive dent in the engine. 1200$ i was lucky enough to be alive to report this

I have contacted the nissan consumers and filed a report approximately 2-months ago and was given an incident number. i had complained about several cracks on my dashboard in my 2007 infiniti m35. my vehicle of low mileage and well maintained and kept in the garage. i have never utilized any other products on the dashboards. i have been reviewing several postings by other consumers that have been dealing with the same issue and the dealership refuses to install a new dashboard due to the age of the vehicle. this is a malfunction of production on nissan infiniti part and all those consumers affected should get a free dashboard replacement for the defective of part when car was made into production. to-date there's a recall on the airbag which no part still has come or delivered yet to the dealership. i am addressing my grave concern and hope that other consumers will file a class action suit again the nissan infiniti for selling these certain kind of vehicles with defects and do not want to honor the replacement of dashboards that were improperly produced by the manufacturer. for a luxury car to have such problems then i am very appalled due to the fact that's all i mostly purchase is nissan vehicles. this matter needs to be rectified with all consumers that are having the same issue as i am with this particular vehicle and other models of the infiniti are having the same or similar problems.

Dash board starts to get very sticky and is peeling off

The dash is cracking in multiple places and is sticky to the touch. infiniti has not changed the air bag yet and has told me when they do the dash will probably be in worse shape. the car is kept in a garage at home and a sun shield is put in the window when it is outside. the car has been well maintained and infiniti does not see this as a problem with the m35.

Multiple stress cracks in the dashboard. this was similar to what caused toyota to recall their cars. this car has always been garaged and well cared for. i noticed this around october 2015. they may have been there but just not as noticeable before then. there are more cracks than what the picture shows some larger some smaller.

Dash has cracked in numerous places. the car is garage kept and i clean the dash with a lightly damp rag, no products. it began to feel sticky/tacky before it cracked. infiniti is doing nothing to resolve this.

Lift struts/cylinders for hood gave way and hood came down on person working on car. lifted back up, put down and opened again and noticed that the hood would not stay open. this car does not provide a "stick" option to hold the hood.. only the lift struts/cylinders hold the hood open and they are not working. *tr

In late 2012, i noticed hairline cracks beginning to form in various areas of my vehicle's leather dashboard. in approximately may-june of 2013, i notified infiniti corporate customer service of this event. i was advised to bring the vehicle to my infiniti dealer so they could create an incident report and gather photos. then a review committee would decide whether infiniti would replace the dash or provide some compensation toward replacement. in september, 2013, i received a letter stating that since the auto was out of the new warranty period, that infiniti would not take any action, nor responsibility for this defect. since this time, the problem has further deteriorated and i have read of numerous other consumer complaints. contrary to the reasoning for disallowing a remedy for the dash, in 2013 also, i received an unsolicited letter extending the vehicle warranty for potential peeling or cracking in the wood door trim of my vehicle. *js
