Problems with 2013 Infiniti G37 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

On average, the 2013 Infiniti G37 starts to “feel” problems with the ELECTRICAL SYSTEM and its various aspects after 39 000 miles.

Recently reported ELECTRICAL SYSTEM problems on 2013 Infiniti G37

Air bag sensor fault in passenger seat. air bag sensor does not work correctly, causing airbag to be inactive for all occupants of passenger seat. infiniti does not offer a sensible fix. the only way to repair is to replace the entire seat ($8000). this is a safety issue that should be under warranty no matter the age of the car. i have found repeated evidence of this occuring often through looking at forums and websites that own this model and year.

I also owned a g35 2008 infiniti with the same problem..the doors lock and i can not get in or out. the lock actuators fail. the doors can not be opened mechanically or electrically. the doors were locked when i went in the gym for 1/2 hour and when i came out i could not enter the car the doors were loced and would not open. after a while i was able to get the back seat door open. i drove the car home and was unable to get out of the car . all doors locked. the only way out is through the window. this is a huge safety concern,

It started when i was pulling into the parking lot in my office building. with no warning, the car started to accelerate at around 7-8 rpm making a roaring noise heard by many witnesses. this resulted in losing control of the car which then went off the side of the lot into a steep decline where i hit a tree. if it wasn't for that tree there was another 60-70 ft drop into a canyon that i inevitably would have fallen into. you might say, "oh i might've pressed on the acceleration instead of the brakes", but there were skid marks left on the ground that would indicate i was already pressing the brakes to come to a stop, when it suddenly accelerated. in addition, i wouldn't have pressed the brakes that hard, so even if i did accidentally press the acceleration, there would be no way the car would hit 7-8 rpm without virtually flooring it. these are hypothetical situations that i am posing to show that it was not accidental on my part, but a defect within the car. this car posed a life threatening injury that i would like for future car owners to know and to take into account. please, please, please share this to anyone you know who owns this model car and report to every vehicle institution you guys know of. thank you. *tr

My mother was driving her (2013) infiniti g37 on a city street when the car suddenly and unexpectedly turned off. she tried to restart it without any success and turn on her hazard lights, but the entire electric system had shut down for no apparent reason. she was very scared because cars were honking at her and after flagging down a police officer (30 minutes later), the car mysteriously turned back on. when she took it to the dealership, they did a quick computer check and told her nothing was wrong. and they said they had never heard of this happening even though my mother told them that she found several complaints on the internet recounting this same problem with this particular model of infiniti. we also reported this to the infiniti customer affairs department and they said they would look into it. *tr
