Front drive shaft ears that hold the u-joint broke off then the drive shaft broke transmission bell housing at 65mph on highway going straight
Infiniti g35 sedan 6 speed manual transmission - up rev - vq35de oil consumption is beyond safe and operational under normal driving conditions. initially car engine seized after 3000 miles of driving. dealership said it was the oil consumption, and the customer needed to add oil. (this incident was not reported by infiniti of marin). according to inifinit tsb - itb08-002d - this is an apparent problem, and there is a test and solution for this faulty engine. inifiniti consumer affairs says i am out of warranty period, and this will have to be an out of pocket expense. they also mentioned it is the responsibility of the dealership to notify the customers, and it is out of their control. *tr
Service engine soon, vdc off, and slip lights all come on from start up of vehicle. engine bogs a lot, specially when slightly more agresive acceleration. i changed hid wire by pulling out the headlight unit and the next time i drove it this happened.
Tl* the contact owns a 2005 infiniti g35. the contact stated that the dynamic control light illuminated on the instrument panel and the vehicle stalled. the vehicle was taken to a mechanic and had the transmission repaired, but that did not correct the failure. the dealer stated that the failure was related to the crank shaft position sensor or the cam shaft position sensor. the vehicle had not been repaired. the failure mileage was 142,000.
The vehicle that i have done so much research on is the 2003-2006 g35 which i own now has a issue with the clutch pedal sticking and getting stuck during driving situations which to me is a very horrible hazard for us if do to high miles on freeway and clutch sticks to the floor, which had occurred to me and made me panic and almost had causes a accident realizing that it had got stuck and i had to yank it out the bottom of the floor. i feel this should be a extreme issue to you guys and should be notified immediately to infinity dealerships so that this can be taken care of. i have looked all over and to many others who had the exact same defect as my vehicle now. *tr
Was coming to a stop at red light, just before car stopped moving it felt like the trans down shifted hard. i had my foot on brake, already stopped and car lunged forward. it felt like it was going to take off and hit the car in front of me, i put it in neutral and the car revved up to about 6500 rpm for 3 to 4 seconds then dropped down to normal. i an positive i did not have my foot on the gas and the floor mat was not pushing the pedal, i talked to my mechanic and he thinks the throttle had to be open as this is a drive by wire car. *tr
Manufacturer refuses to correct under warrant alignment problem causing premature wear of tires 10-15k miles flywheel drivetrain noise...manufacturers refuses to correct under warranty. *tr
I have a 2005 g35 coupe w/ heavy oil consumption problems. my car is consuming roughly 3 quarts of oil every 2,000 miles and infiniti has done an oil consumption test and had one of their techs look at my car and they determined that i needed a new engine but they will not warranty a new one for me. the corporate hq told me they took pictures and a sample, that they have yet to show me and are going to void my warranty. i have since taken it to another shop and they don't agree with infiniti findings and corporate has still not sent me anything in writing or any pictures of their findings. all i got was a phone call saying they were going to void my warranty and i spoke with the service tech and he does not agree with the findings either and said that my modification to my car does not cause that much oil consumption and i am being shunned away by the dealership. i am also apart of a g35 forum and there are many threads/posts of people with the same oil consumption problem and they are getting the same treatment and i believe that this should be a recall on these engines and i need, along with other need to receive a new engine. infiniti/nissan knows about this issue but they will not come clean with their findings and are blaming the customer and i honestly do not think it is fair. *tr
I have had multiple issues with my car. the most severe have been a replacement bolt on the axle that made a clicking sound when i put it in reverse. that took place within 2 months of my owning the car. the other has been my brakes. they were making squealing sounds when they were depressed, at 4500 miles. i kept complaining to the dealership and they finally realized that there was an issue with the front brakes. it was fixed at 9,000 miles. the squealing subsided somewhat, but there has always been a sound. i took my car in again recently for routine maintenance and complained that the sound has still not gone away. they said there was dust on the brakes, and that once it was cleaned up, it should be fine. they said my back brakes were now an issue. mysteriously, after picking up my car, the squealing was worse and was now coming from the back of the car. the service rep said that i need to fix them within the 1500 miles. i was not having any issues with back brakes up until this point. i truly believe that the service tech tampered did something to them. finally, my sunroof starting giving out and requires a new motor. this all happened within 2 years with barely 14,000 miles! *jb
Tl* the contact owns a 2005 infiniti g35 coupe. the contact was driving 65 mph when the clutch pedal abnormally dropped to the floorboard causing the vehicle to be come resistant to downshifting. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the clutch was replaced but did not remedy the failure. the clutch master cylinder was then replaced but to no avail. the failure persisted and there were no further repairs to the vehicle. the failure mileage was 16,000.
Dt*: the contact stated there is a loud rubbing noise from the front end, which can be heard above the radio. the dealership determined the noise was a cupping on the inside of the tires, this is caused by the vehicle. the tires need to be replaced every 10,000 miles. also, the clutch was grinding, but the dealership refuses to look at this.
