This is regarding my infiniti g35 sedan. while driving my vehicle on the highway, the engine suddenly stopped and all the dashboard lights came on. i pulled the car over to the shoulder and started the car again. at this point, the service engine soon light came on. i was able to drive to an infiniti dealer 5 miles away, with the engine stopping during operation several times. fortunately there was no crash and nobody was injured or other damage. at the dealer, they diagnosed the problem as a fault crank position sensor, which was a known issue on my car. however, my vin was not part of the previous recall campaign (01v35700) for this issue. the dealer serviced my vehicle by replacing the crank position sensor assembly at a cost of $334.65. i have contacted infiniti and they were unwilling to reimburse my service under the earlier recall campaign. i am writing to notify nhtsa of this incident so it is in your database. i am also requesting that you review the incidents of failed crank position sensors in infiniti cars and consider reinitiating a recall campaign. *tr

My 2003 infiniti g35 sedan has an oil consumption issue. everytime i do an oil change, about 1000 to 1200 miles i check my oil dip stick. it is half way below the full mark. i have repeated done this procedure over 10 times already and have read that this is a common issue with infiniti and nissan. *tr

Well i bought this car from bellflower auto mart thinking that i bought a pretty dependable car come to find out the previous owner was drinking and driving and totaled the car, so now the car should have a salvage title but it doesnt the airbag system in the car does not work at all, the dealer bought the wrecked car from auction and repaired it themselves and sold it to me as if it was never in any accident, i asked for the carfax report but it unfortunately slipped my mind after all the paper work, but i went the next day to return the car after i found all this out and was kicked off the property. *tr

The cam shaft position sensor went out on my infinity g35 causing a complete loss of power and almost caused a wreck. there is a recall on that year, but when i contacted infinity, they said that my model was not affected by the recall. apparently that model has the defect. the refused to repair it. *tr

2003 infiniti g35 with a recall on the engine. customer states that the dealer told her that her car was not included in the recall even though the symptoms were the same. dealer refused to fix it unless she paid 11,000 dollars to fix it. *kb the dealer informed the consumer the engine shut down because the piston broke causing it to hit the engine which put a hole in the engine block. the consumer had a used engine put in the vehicle on july 24, 2006 but, one year later the engine failed. the consumer stated she has had numerous problems with the brakes, the driver's seat made a constant noise, the 6 cd changer malfunctioned and ceased to operate and the window motor was replaced. *jb

1) car has been meticulously cared for. at 44,450 miles, the engine dies unexpectedly while going at 25mph. engine cranks roughly for a long time at start, but starts eventually. i get the "check engine light", "vdc off" and "slip" light on. 2) the error was associated to "camshaft position sensor". since the start of this condition, engine dies atleast once every drive - mostly at low rpm, but twice at 25 and 40 mph resulting in near collisions! i called infiniti and they mentioned that my particular vin has no recalls associated with it for this condition - but i clearly see a 630,000 car recall for this condition under engine & engine cooling with nhtsa id# 03v455000. 3) the dealership is willing to repair for $105/hr for something that is clearly a vehicle defect. they will change the camshaft position sensor. *tr

2003 infiniti g35- temporary loss of engine power while driving (up to 3 seconds) followed by "slip" and vrc warning lights coming on. power then usually resumes with these lights staying on. near accident in one event while passing truck. my mechanic indicates both cam sensors need to be replaced. indicates this a common problem with certain nissan sentras that had a recall. i contacted infiniti consumer affairs- they indicated no recall on my model. *tr
