Keyless entry warning. warning is intermittent.
Driving the vehicle on flat road at 40 mph. vehicle sounds an alert and begins displaying errors. the errors rotates through the display of several faults while the engine is running -- idle or in drive. problems displayed included, in order: emissions systems, power steering system, vehicle stability assist, hill start assist, trailer stability assist, and road departure mitigation system. vehicle brought to a stop, engine shut off, then restarted. these faults return when the car restarts. vehicle is unsafe given the reported state. mileage: 34,122. registered new in 12/2016. screen shots and maintenance logs/receipts available for review.
My vehicle without warning would not start after getting home and parked in the garage. after several attempts the panel states and ignition system error. all of the lights and other functions work well but it will not start while physically in the vehicle or with the remote. it makes a continuous clicking sound all of the lights flash on the vehicle but nothing more.
I keep receiving a code that states "keyless start system problem". honda dealership states they reset computer but problem continues to show every time i start vehicle. apparently they either can't fix it or they don't know how to fix it. had problem for approximately 2 months.
When trying to start vehicle you receive 'keyless start system problem'. taken to the dealer twice and not able to diagnose the issue. vehicle has 49000 miles today and have had this intermittent issue since 42000 miles. fob batteries have both been replaced and supposedly reprogrammed. still unable to resolve. let me know if and how you were able to resolve the issue.
Sunroof exploded outward on the highway
Keyless start system error - the car won't start and this is the error message that pops up.
I'm getting a keyless start system problem that started stationary and remains as the car drives. i change the batteries send i tried the alternate key, i did the diagnosis reset. the problem persists hello i believe there should be a recall. i am so disappointed because my warranty expired. in addition, i'm getting emission system problem. the oxygen sensor in question is not easily accessible by my mechanics. i would trouble reset and it will return.
Auto stop malfunction first year of owning the pilot elite, the auto stop function worked and would restart after coming to a stop. by the second year, after coming to a stop in city traffic and engine is supposed to come back on, it stalls and shuts off and needs to be shifted to neutral and then restart engine. have taken the car for services since having this issue and reporting the issue to the dealership and they are unable to fix the issue or replicate the problem. now into year 3 of ownership the auto stop function has gotten worse because now when it shuts off after auto stopping, it takes a couple of minutes before you are able to restart the car. this is very unsafe at an intersection when the light turns green. only way around this issue is to disable the auto stop function at the beginning of the drive which defeats the purpose of having such a function and we aren't able to permanently disable the function. i have reported this problem each and every time i have taken it in to the dealership for service and they have run diagnostics and said they weren't able to replicate the issue.
***auto idle stop malfunction** while in moving traffic on a highway in northern virginia, the pilot has stalled and even powered off while the auto idle stop function was engaged. the car powered down and required a re-start which needed multiple attempts to actually take effect (up to 20 seconds-multiple attempts). the dealership has no solution to offer and honda has no recall available to cover the issue. this has happened three times in the last two weeks when the auto idle feature has been turned off. the dealership couldn't "reproduce" the issue while in their possession so only offered to keep it longer (to drive it in real world scenarios) and attempt to reproduce the malfunction.
Collision mitigation braking system (cmbs) computer overload in a construction zone with vehicle in motion on a highway. cmbs computer shut down and would not reset without taking vehicle to dealer. dealer rebooted computer for $62 and advised turning off cmbs before entering construction zones to avoid a repeat. turning off a safety feature with a difficult-to-find switch while driving in a construction zone would be unsafe. driving without a safety feature would be irresponsible and potentially unsafe. this is a known issue and yet honda does not warn owners about it but instead makes money from it.
When driving, the vehicle jerks forward when it changes speed or gear.
My wife was driving down the freeway at 70 mph and heard a big pop (sounded like a gun shot). the weather conditions were perfect and the road itself is very smooth. so my wife pulled over and saw that her sun roof had exploded. so i asked if anything hit the sunroof and she said no. so i looked at the sun roof when she got home and it was shattered from corner to corner. no way a rock or flying debris could cause that. luckily the sunroof cover was closed, so she did not get hit with shards of glass. i took the car into my local honda dealer and told them what happened. they agreed that it would be difficult to cause that kind of damage to the sun roof with a rock. unfortunately, it was not covered under the "warranty" and i had to pay for the new window which was close to $700.
The message "keyless start system problem" showed up in the information screen about a few weeks ago, it would come up intermittently, whenever i start the engine, and the message stays on the entire time the engine is runnning. when the engine is shut off, there will be a ding, and the message will stay on for a few minutes before going away. i took it to the local dealership, they had not encountered a message like that before, and could not figure out what was wrong. i already have over 42,000 miles on my vehicle, so the factory warranty has run out. today i took it back to the dealership, since that message is still showing up, and i finally have the time to leave it for a few hours. the service advisor said now there is a code for that issue, but i would have to pay for whatever repairs needed to fix the issue. i feel that this should be a manufacturing recall issue, perhaps with the electrical system, or with the keyless start system, and that i should not have to pay for this repair. i'm afraid of what would happen when the issue gets worse, especially when i go on vacation, and the engine will not start because of an error with the keyless start system affecting the push button start. again, the message does not come up everytime i drive. but today, on 6/28/2018, i have started the engine a total of 3 times while running errands around town, within 90 minutes, and this message has shown up every time i started the engine.
About 4 months ago i was at a stoplight, my engine shut down, as it was supposed to with the 'auto idle stop' function. it is supposed to start back up when you take your foot off the brake, but this time the car stalled. it stalled many times after this and it was always unexpected and scary. i took it into my dealer on june 6, 2018 and they said they could see that they could see in the computer that it stalled a few times, but could not reproduce the problem while test driving it. they did a reset on the electronics. that did nothing. i stalled a while after i left the shop. i stalled many more times after that. it does have an override to this 'auto idle stop' system, but you have to always remember to push the button and if i forgot and the car was in 'auto idle stop' mode and i pushed the button, many times the car would stall. i now also have a problem starting the car. when i push the start button, many times the engine won't start. i have to push it 3-4 times to get it to start. this makes my stalling even more dangerous, as if it was not dangerous enough, because it will take me much longer to start the car from a stall. i can imagine being in situations where i would have to be able to get out a situation quickly and if i stall i would not be able to. if i am on a freeway and stall in heavy traffic, or stalling on train tracks if i am in heavy traffic and i happen to be the car left on the tracks and can't start. or if a car or object is heading towards me and will crash into me and i can avoid it be speeding away. if i stall i can't. here is a thread from a honda pilot forum with many owners with the same problem. https://www.piloteers.org/forums/114-2016-third-generation-pilot/157005-elite-shuts-off-stop-light.html not one of them has had it fixed by there repair shop. my car has been in the shop for the 2nd time since august 8, 2018.
My vehicle has been cutting off, all power including all computer screens/dashboard/steering, which last 2-5 seconds, then cuts back on. the rpm will rev up to the 4-6 thousand range and at times the vehicle will no go over 45mph. this has happened at 35 mph to 70mph. while in park, absolutely no gear engaged, the vehicle will lurch forward and backward as though it was in gear. my foot will not even be on the brake pedal and it will move. last week the car was turned on, put in drive, i pushed the accelerator, the rpm's went to 4000 and the vehicle did not move. i looked down to make sure it was in drive, which is was, as i looked up the car lurched forward 2-3 feet. the emissions system, lane assist light come on randomly. it will tell me "steering required" even when i am driving and do not have the lane assist on. the dealer has replaced multiple parts, including "computer updates", the radar sensing system, but they cannot replicate the issue and have told me they cannot do anything about it. i have take the vehicle in at least 6-7 times in the last 2 months. the car is unsafe, still under warranty and the dealer told me "you are stuck with it". this car is a hazard to myself, my family and anyone else on the road. i have tried to deal with honda corporate and they will not respond. i believe, from my research, this is an issue with this model that honda refuses to acknowledge.
Sometimes the rpm drops and the vehicle has a hard shift jerking the car forward. it happens about once every other week but doesn't last long. unfortunately, when it happens i can't take the car in because i'm at work and when i do take it in it doesn't happen. this happens randomly when i drive. doesn't matter what speed i drive at. i was able to record it when it happened and brought it in to the mechanic but they said if they can't recreate it then it's not an issue. i'm afraid of this becoming a bigger issue causing me to get into an accident. honda was no help. told me if i got into an accident because of this issue then the insurance will take care of it. having kids, i don't want to "wait" for an accident to happen before they decide to figure out what the issue is.
Sunroof spontaneously shattered while being driven on the interstate. was not hit by any moving object.
16 honda pilot touring awd smells of a very, very strong odor of exhaust/gasoline coming into the vehicle at idle. also, vehicle smells like gasoline in my garage when i come out in the morning. many similar complaints listed online. remedy? it is so bad that i am getting headaches and can't drive the vehicle. going to service on 02/21/2018.
Strong odor or smell of fuel or gasoline inside the cabin while traveling down the road and or while sitting stationary with engine running.
I am experiencing water leaking by the passenger seat. i took it to the shop and i was explained that they will have to remove the whole front part including the steering wheel to be able to fix the problem. according to the mechanic there is a sealant on rubber band that it underneath the windshield that has to be replaced since the band is really tin and need to be replace since the quality of it is not so good as the one that was used in the 2014-2015 pilots. so i live in a state where is always raining and so the water is getting in to my car, and i have to constantly change the towels as the passenger side floor gets so wet if i do not use anything to absorb the water. this fix will take at least 5 days to be repair and will cost me over $2000 to have it repair, when this is an issued cause for the bad rubber quality that honda used. *tr
The collision mitigation system comes on and issues a warning that it no longer operates after driving along a road where there are numerous orange cones along the side of the road. the systems states it is overloaded and stops functioning. system must be re-coded by dealer in order for system to work again. dealer says there is no fix. recommendation is to turn off the system whenever encountering this situation. this essentially makes defeats the purpose of the system.
After locking the car in a parking lot with windows up, i returned to find all windows half down and sun roof half open. another time after locking the car i returned to find the tail gate open.
1. i am getting static on the radio, the dealership is not solving this issue completely. i know by turning on and off the car it will resolve it for an amount of time and it comes back. this occurs when driving and not driving. 2. issues with tire low pressure the dealership is not solving this issue completely. i know by adding air it will resolve it for an amount of time and it comes back. this occurs when driving and not driving.
First: the eight inch touch screen, like in many new cars is, as installed, a continuous, distracted driving hazard. for any driver to use it at all while in motion means one must glace away from the road! in this car, the combination of having to use this with no alternate controls like a volume control means trouble. additionally, no provision seems to be available for the bright screen to automatically dim the display at night. you have to manually do it. second: as with many new cars the headlights worked as follows off the lot: low beams do not shine out far enough. high beams only seem good at illuminating overhead freeway signs! the fog lights are pure comedy.
My family traveled in this vehicle to carlsbad last week for vacation, including myself, my wife, our 13 year old daughter and 11 year old son. the vehicle worked perfectly until we were on our way home saturday, july 22, 2017. we were on i-10 approximately 1 hour east of phoenix in the right lane with the cruse set at the 75mph speed limit. there were no cars in front of us for at least a mile. all the sudden, without any warning whatsoever, nearly all the vehicle system lights came on and the vehicle slowed at an emergency rate down to approximately 40mph in about 2 seconds. i immediately hit 'cancel' on the cruise and stepped on the gas, but the vehicle continued to slow quickly. i immediately started to move to the shoulder of the road and noticed the 18 wheel tractor trailer behind us make an emergency swerve to the left and missed hitting us by inches. we were nearly involved in an accident that could have easily been fatal. all this took place in about a 5-10 second timeframe. after stopping on the shoulder of the road i made note that the vehicle was showing a transmission problem, an emissions problem, an awd problem and i think just about every other issue light was lit up. i tried to get the vehicle back on the road, but it would not go any higher than 3rd gear and the dash kept indicating a transmission and awd problem. i pulled over again and turned the vehicle off and back on. at that point the only indicator light that lit up was the emission system problem (see attached picture). i reentered the interstate and the transmission was working properly again. we stopped at the next gas station and filled the gas tank and upon restarting the engine the emission light was still on. we carefully drove home at 65'70mph. the following day (sunday), the emission light was no longer on.
Sunroof shattered while closed upon getting on the highway, not hit by any object.
While driving on the highway, i adjusted the radio volume. it instantly went to the maximum volume, and all controls to adjust the volume became inactive. the radio was so loud i feared my speakers would blow or my ears would be damaged. unable to turn the radio off, i pulled off the road and shut off the engine. an online search revealed that others have experienced the same problem. there appears to be a software glitch that causes the problem to occur when the volume is adjusted while the turn signal is active.
When the rear tailgate is opened electronically, the tailgate opens completely and then immediately begins the closing process (beeps and then closes). it can be stopped manually otherwise it will finish the closing process. if you stop it manually, the electronic closing system (button on door, key fob or button by driver seat) is disabled. dealer has replaced the control unit but that did not fix the problem. we have been told that the next solution will be to replace the liftgate motor. we have a 7yr old daughter and our concern is that it could be a bigger issue if a small person is presented with the problem.
Tl* the contact owns a 2016 honda pilot. the contact stated that the sound of the horn was too low to alert other drivers of his presence while driving on the freeway. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was confirmed that the horn was too low and it needed to be changed to a dual tone horn. the manufacturer was notified of the issue. the contact was informed that the dealer would not pay for any modifications to the vehicle. the contact was given case number: 05709111. the failure mileage was 3,000.
Long story short..today around 4:10 pm (2016 honda pilot ex-l), as i was driving on the highway doing 65 mph, i hear a loud boom.. i'm what the [xxx]... as i look back in my rear view mirror, i see a piece of the glass from my sun roof, slam onto the ground and the truck behind started to dodge the glass, after that i started to hear wind noise from the sun roof. so i took a look and my sun roof glass was gone, if i were to have my sun roof cover open, that glass would of hit me right in the face or even in my eyes. after going research there was couple suv that have similar blow out..http://m.carcomplaints.com/honda/pilot/2016/windows_windshield/sunroof_exploded.shtml. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
Car intermittently fills with gasoline fumes when being fueled. has happened many times since new; local dealer verified fumes recently, but could not duplicate or repair it.
1. rattling at instrument panel. 2. frequent freezing of touch screen, especially when car is being driven on the highway.
I was driving with my family inside the car i would say between 35 - 45 miles / hour then i step on the gas just for little bit what happen the revolution went up to 3000- 4000 rpm & stays there for a while i hear like engine noise sound & feels like it went to stall so at this point. i look at dash board still on drive mode when i step on the gas im not speeding up the rpm remains on 3000 4000 rpm car slowing down i haveto go to the side of the road i press the drive button it went to sports mode the revs climb even higher so i press it again to go to regular drive mode that's the only time the revolution came down to less than 2000 rpm engine noise subsided. so i think the car unexpectedly randomly shifting to neutral while u driving i happen to me 2 -3 times. this is honda pilot touring model with nine speed zf transmission. i call honda usa mention what happen because i read that there was alot of complained about thistransmission issue. in the article & forum i read it was stating that software update recall to fix the problem but honda customer service just advise me to bring the car to service i think they aware of the problem but told me that there is no recall to fix the transmission issue according to honda usa customer service. all this event happen when the car is in motion in the city street. thanks *tr
We cannot find a comfortable position for driving this car. it hurts our foot and leg every time we drive it. *tr
The bluetooth doesn't work as a true hans free. when making a call you have to place the phone to your ear wait for the other person to pick up then transfer the call otherwise you can't use bluetooth. most names i say when trying to call someone by voice command ends up in 911. also gps can't be played over the bluetooth unless you are listening to music from your phone via bluetooth. i was assured by honda it was an apple product problem, but samsung works the same way. thank you for the help honda
As i was driving 65 mph on the freeway one night the engine suddenly started revving up super high and the car began slowing down. it was quite frightening. because it was dark, it took a minute to identify the problem- that the car slipped into neutral. i slid the stick back to drive and resumed my commute. i didn't intentionally switch gears but accidentally (slightly) bumped the gear shift into neutral. turns out that the gear shift has no resistance between drive and neutral in that it moves easily between both gears with no stop mechanism. i took it to the dealer yesterday and they said it was "normal," i called honda and they said "no recalls" and suggested i take it to another dealer for a second opinion. could honda be in denial of a new recall issue?
Two separate incidents in sacramento, ca where we experienced engine failure with our 2016 honda pilate elite. the first incident occurred in may 2016 on a busy city street with our three young children in the car. while in motion, the car essentially shut down with the display screen showing a series of warnings indicating numerous system failures. there was no engine power but luckily i was able to coast the vehicle to a nearby parking lot. the dealer indicated there was no problem, just a computer glitch, and the only repair necessary was to reset the computer/software. the second incident occurred last week, only this time while driving on the freeway. we completely lost all engine power but luckily i was in the right lane and i was able to coast to the side and pull over on the shoulder. if i had been in the fast or middle lane with little opportunity to move over, there could have been a serious collision. similar to the first incident, we were unable to start the car with the warning lights showing various system failures. we had the car towed to the same dealer who initially indicated they would just reboot the software again. so we pressed upon them to do a more thorough diagnosis since this is the second time its happened. they agreed to keep the vehicle and seek to identify the root cause of the problem. at this point no diagnosis has been made. we would have never expected this from a near brand new (purchased in december 2015 and currently has only 9,200 miles) pilot elite loaded with safety and technology features. again we experienced two separate incidents where the car immediately shut down while in motion with the most recent occurring on the freeway. and both times our three young children were in the vehicle. this is a huge safety risk and i certainly hope honda does its due diligence in diagnosing and addressing this issue.
This is a follow up to complaint 10881962 in which one of my fears has come to fruition. i was driving my car in the normal mode (acc and lkas disabled) on a normal two lane paved road when the car in front of me made a slow right turn. i was not following very closely and came to a complete stop on my own to avoid running into the other car. i stopped about 15 feet away from the other car. the other car then completed the turn to the extent that the other car was no longer in the way of me driving forward in a straight line. when i pushed the gas to then proceed the collision mitigation system started flashing the "brake" message and producing an audible warning. at this point i was possibly going 10 mph again. after verifying that there was definitely not anything in my way, i kept applying the gas. my car then started braking on its own, at which point i pushed the gas harder to presumably over-ride the braking. a moment or two later, my car then made a sudden and hard brake on its own that brought my car to a complete stop, despite the fact that i was pushing hard on the gas. the other car that had turned was well clear of the lane by this point, and was easily 1 ft away from my path of travel when i started accelerating in the first place. my only explanation is that the collision mitigation system was confused by the lack of a shoulder lane marker (only a raise cement curb was present) and somehow thought the car was still in the "road." in either case, the system malfunctioned to the point that my car was suddenly brought to a complete stop, and the car behind me very nearly rear-ended me in a situation where i had already come to a stop, and the obstacle in front of me had cleared / continued to become increasingly more clear of my path. the situation was dangerous and clearly misinterpreted by my car.
Honda pilot 2016 touring. vehicle battery drains overnight or in a few hours for no reason. the vehicle would not start and would have to be transported to the dealership or have battery recharged for a long time. after recharge, safety equipment such as sensors, emergency stop, etc. stop working. contacted honda and took vehicle to dealership multiple times. one time they replaced the battery and other times did something else but they are unable to resolve the problem. we believe vehicle is unsafe to drive. this problem seems to be encountered by many honda pilot 2016 owners which is reported online. they all complain of taking their vehicle to honda dealership only to be told the dealership unable to resolve the issue.
I had a 2014 pilot. the navigation worked great. now i own a 2016 pilot and most of the navigation system is locked out while driving. i now have to pull over in the city or interstate to make changes--both dangerous. as a result, i am now using my iphone for navigation which defeats the purpose of the car navigation system and is much more dangerous. the honda dealer indicated your agency has required these changes. i am happy to discuss at [xxx]. thanks, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
Unsatisfactory transmission shifting since new (2-2016). learching, searching for gears, slack in shifting from stop. honda says its normal. that insults my intelligence. poor design and failure to admit there is an issue. less than 17,000 miles on vehicle as of this date (1-23-2018)
2016 honda pilot surge while trying to stop on a city street and 2 times ended up part way in the intersection. no warning lights on dash. had pilot about a month. only drove about 500 miles. concerned, so keep longer distances in traffic. setup an appointment today with local dealer to inspect per his schedule in 4 days.
While driving straight on a highway, i heard a loud noise from the top of my car. the sunroof glass had spontaneously shattered. when i looked through my rear view mirror i could see some pieces flying. thankfully, the car behind me was far away enough that they were not hit by these glass pieces and also had my interior slider closed. a serious accident could have occurred if both my slider wasn't closed and/or the car behind me was close to me. i've had the car for less than 3 months, i contacted honda and advised them of the incident and brought it in to their service department. they claimed to have never heard of anything like this happening before. they have ordered a replacement glass for my sunroof. i'm still waiting for it come in. i also went online and researched sunroofs breaking out of nowhere and did come across many other similar complaints. it seems that it may be happening more frequently with newer vehicles because they are built lighter with thinner metals and thinner glass. the glass used on sunroofs more commonly is tempered glass, not laminated glass. tempered glass is more prone to shattering when pressure builds up inside the car. when i spoke to honda corporate and the dealer, neither one could tell me what kind of glass was on the sunroof because they didn't know. i hope this matter can be further looked into. i hope it doesn't happen again. this was a very frightening experience that could have very easily been worse.
We are experiencing a snap/clunk that can be heard and slightly felt through foot when applying or releasing the accelerator and also application of the brake. this only occurs when the vehicle is in a colder (probably less than 30 degrees fahrenheit) outside temps. honda dealer had look at it twice and its been in the shop 3 three times so far with the fourth visit being this morning 2/10/2016. so far they adjusted bolts and fasteners on visit one. on visit three they replaced the center drive shaft. problem still exists. because there is no know diagnosis at this time its unclear if this is a safety issue.
I write to you to convey my safety concerns regarding a new honda 2016 pilot. my attempts to resolve my concerns with american honda motor co., inc. were met with tepid reluctance and a cavalier neglectful attitude. 1.at high speeds (55-75 mph) the vehicle oversteers and during emergency avoidance maneuvers becomes unstable. twice while avoiding dear on interstate highways, i have almost lost control and was seriously concerned about rolling the vehicle over. i own and have driven a 2003 pilot for over 180,000 miles and never experienced this sort of issue. i believe the suspension is incorrectly designed and that unexpected and unnecessary rollovers are imminent. 2.the 'auto idle off' feature turns the engine completely off at certain times and under certain circumstances. it takes between 900 and 1,300 milliseconds to recover power to the wheels when this happens. unlike hybrid vehicles (from which this feature was taken), there is no alternative electrical motor to provide torque to the drivetrain while the engine restarts and as a result, there is delay in accelerating. in the vast majority of times, this is of no consequence however in a small fraction this delay increases the risk of collision. about once per week, i experience a delay in entering dense traffic within short interstate merge lanes. this delay of about one second is enough to remove my margin of error and increases the risk of collision during a merging maneuver. while there is a switch to defeat this feature, it resets every time the vehicle is turned off and remembering to override it every time is inconsistent with human memory and performance.
I had just pulled out of my garage when the tailgate window on my eight day old, 2016 honda pilot forcefully exploded. it blew shards of glass 15 feet behind the vehicle. the force broke the rear window wiper and bent the window wiper arm down. all this occurred while i was travelling about 5 to 10 miles an hour. the car was completely out of the garage, but not far from it. no one was around the car. my husband was in the back yard and heard the explosion. our honda dealer said we pressed the wiper into the window causing pressure which broke the window. i was driving alone in the car. if anyone had been behind the vehicle they would have been shredded by flying glass. it didn't drop to the ground it flew 15 feet behind the car. this presents a dangerous situation if people are nearby as on a city street or parking lot. from the internet i see this has happened to many other vehicle makers, not just honda.
My car has a variety of dangerous behaviors in the driver assist functionalities that could either cause or fail to prevent an accident. i have only driven it 2,000 miles but observed these many times. i reported these to the dealer and was told the car was fine. adaptive cruise control issues: - fails to detect vehicles in odd situations, such as a truck where the rear of the body protrudes out from the rear wheels, as if the radar is only at ground level, or if a vehicle is driving in my lane but one tire is in the other lane, or a wide load which occupies all of the adjacent lane and half of my lane, or a "bobtail" truck. - after an empty stretch, upon coming up to a slower car, rather than slow gradually by easing off the gas, the car will get very close to the car and then rapidly brake, causing drivers behind me to nearly rear-end me. collision mitigation: - all of these trigger "brake" messages to be displayed, which is just 1 step before the brakes being auto-applied, which could cause me to be rear-ended. - false alarms while merging from lefthand onramps where a pending collision with the jersey barrier is detected - false alarms by the hills adjacent to the road when going around a sharp turn on back roads - false alarms when cresting a hill with a curve after the hill and it thinks an oncoming car will be hit, because it can't see the lane markings past the hill lane keep assist: - partially goes into exit ramps on its own if in the right lane, causing other drivers to think i am leaving the lane and start to merge themselves - is confused by lines of tar and will depart the lane on its own - often "fights" with the lane departure mitigation around corners - tries to prevent me from giving other vehicles some buffer when passing them, if they are wider or drifting toward me. - does not alert when it stops being able to detect the lines
