Recently reported ENGINE problems on 2015 Honda CR-V

Car has a bad vibration, when in d stopped at the red light.

2015 cr-v touring vibrates in park or drive (when the car is not moving). the rpms are about 550 to 600 and at times seems like the engine wants to turn off. vibration overall is pretty strong, i hope honda fixes this issue. a/c can be on or off, same issue.

There is a high vibration and engine noise, and is getting worse with time when i stop at a red light. even after taking the car in for honda to fix the problem, after 4 times the issue has not been fixed.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 honda cr-v. while driving at 65 mph, the accelerator pedal was depressed but the vehicle did not respond. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the mechanic reset the throttle position, performed crank position re-learn, and idle re-learn. the vehicle was repaired, but failed to remedy the vehicle. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 886.

While driving our 2015 crv a day after our initial purchase it began to shake violently at idle. so bad that in stop and go traffic it can cause the driver and passengers to start to feel sick. honda has acknowledged the issue but says that it isn't a safety concern and it is a characteristic of the vehicle. additionally the car vibrates and feels as if might die when slowing down at a stop light. the same thing that a manual might do if left in gear when slowing to a stop. additionally the same thing can occur when initially accelerating. i feel that these are safety issues because they are distracting to the driver and the crv could eventually start stalling out in the middle of an intersection.

Started car, put in reverse, backed up about 3 or 4 feet car totally died.

Oil leak under the engine.

2015 honda cr-v: unusual vibration at stop with gear shift in drive mode and loud mum sound when driving between 15 to 25 mph similar to all other complaints on this 2015 model.

I purchased my crv ex awd a couple of weeks ago. shortly thereafter, i noticed that the seats shake causing a vibration in the car when i'm stopped and the vehicle is in drive. when this happens, the engine is warm and idles around 600 rpms. i have found that if the a/c is on or the headlights are on, then the vibrations lessens after the engine idle increases. i've contacted honda, but they only said that they are aware of the complaint and that "if" a remedy can be found they would notify the owners.

Since day one there has been a strong vibration at idle. the engine will be at 650-700 rpms and then drops to 500. it shakes uncontrollably when the rpms drop at a light or while idling. i've taken it in 3 times with no repair success.

Started car, put in reverse, backed about 1 or 2 feet. engine died.

We purchased a 2015 cr-v in may of 2015. it had 7 miles and we test drove it for a few minutes &loved the suv and we did not notice any issues or vibrations. a few days later my girlfriend noticed the vibration since she drives it daily to work on one of the busiest freeway (405). she explained to me that the vibration was pretty bad &nauseating. i decided to drive the cr-v to work. i also take the 405 freeway and as we all know this freeway is bumper to bumper and most of the time you are idle. thats when i noticed the vibration. you have to drive the suv for about 15-30 minutes in order for you to feel the vibration. as mentioned its very bad &its nauseating and distracting to the driver. i have recorded my daily drive to work and the vibration is documented when at idle. honda new about this vibration since november of last year. the vibration is a safety concern of us since as i mentioned it is distracting to the driver and its very nauseating. if at idle or in very slow traffic this can be very concerning due to the fact it might lead to cr-v drivers with this issue to get into an accident.

Very strong vibration at idle. very annoying and can cause harm to my body and it really makes me regret buying the car each time i stop at a stop signal or at a red light. i have filed a complaint with both the dealer and honda to take back my costly brand new crv 2015 touring for a full refund. i haven't heard back from them yet.

At idle speeds (at stop sign or red light), the car vibrates. the front seats start shaking quite a bit - the problem goes away only if you switch to neutral or put additional load on the engine (i.e., turn the a/c or heater on). reading various forums, this problem appears to be widespread. honda even acknowledged the problem in a video posted in april and yet they continue to sell the car. the video can be found here - youtu.be/a6k6jph7zak. i just bought the car two days ago and now i am stuck with it. honda doesn't have a fix either. i should be able to return it but apparently there is no "cooling off" period in california.

Vehicle seats vibrates on d mode if you stop the vehicle. rpm moved automatically between 600 to 800 rmp on vehicle stop in d mode and ac is on

Vibration issue during idle

Shortly after purchasing i noticed a engine vibration when stopped or idling. called dealer to complain and they said they were aware of the issue and that honda was working on it. i would not ave bought the car if i would have noticed it sooner. totally unacceptable. this is very annoying and distracting.

Strong engine vibrations: purchased vehicle may 2015 and after i drove the vehicle a few days a strong vibration was felt from the engine while stopped and in drive. vibration is also felt while in park. honda has acknowledge the defect on web site but refuses to alert the customers via wide alert. honda issued a bulletin for a three mode "fix" that did not fix the problem. two different honda dealers have tried the procures provided in the bulletin with no avail. i repeatedly take it back to the honda dealer but now they will not open a service ticket stating " we've done all we can do" had i known of this problem i would have not purchased. what am i to do now with this vehicle that i can't even trade in because other dealers know about this issue with the 2015 honda crv.

Vibration: in december of 2014, we purchased a brand new honda crv 2015 model from tom wood honda in anderson, indiana. shortly after purchasing the vehicle, (at around 5,000 miles driven on the vehicle), we noticed that; the vehicle vibrated when stopped (say at a stop light) when the car was in 'drive'. the vibration was not detected when the vehicle was stopped and in 'park'. the vibration at this time was slight and only a little disturbing. the vehicle was taken to penske honda (on the north side of indianapolis) at around 28,000 miles or so, where a '16-053 crv update' was applied. the vibration problem was made much worse, not better. immediately after driving the car off of penske's lot, it vibrated so badly that it was extremely disturbing. follow a few frustrating conversations with penske honda about this problem, the vehicle was taken to fisher's honda. fisher's honda performed update 15-046 for vibration at idle, which ameliorated the problem, however, the vehicle still vibrates quite noticeably when engaged in drive and stopped at a stop light for example. the idle speed drops to around 550 rpm when stopped and in drive. the entire car shakes. the steering wheel vibrates in the driver's hands. in my opinion, no one would buy a new or even used car with this problem. i certainly wouldn't. we took the 2015 honda crv to tom wood honda. one of their top technicians drove the car with us in it. he acknowledged the problem, but stated that there was nothing more he could do to fix the problem than what had already been done, and that the problem had something to do with the engine and drive train pairing. since that time, the vibration phenomenon when the car is stopped and engaged in drive has worsened. in addition, the car vibrates when driving the car at 35 to 45 miles per hour and the rpms are around 1,100 rpm or so. *tr

Intermittently while in economy mode, when accelerating from a stop or while moving and increasing speed the engine hesitates anywhere from one to five seconds before any increase in speed or engine rpms. this is very dangerous and has caused me to almost be t-boned numerous times. there are many complaints about this on various sites on the internet. my dealer says this is normal because of the type of transmission. other dealers say the same thing. this is going to get someone killed soon.

I leased a honda 2015 crv and started noticing nauseating vibration when stopped at lights. when the car's rpm hit under 1000 the vibration in the car gets continually worse. when rpm hit 500 the car vibrates so much it causes driver and passenger to visibly shake. this occurs ever time the car hits 500 rpm, which for me occurs at least 7 times each way of my daily work commute . you will feel this shaking from you back to your shoulders when you are in the seat. have taken it to two dealerships both which could/would not fix the issue. was told it a characteristic of the car which is bs. made a complaint to honda of america which has not been helpful. this was my family's fourth honda brand car and will be are last. i am currently stuck in a leased car that is nauseating and will most likely cause repair issues in future with the vibration that goes through entire car.

Shake out of the seat vibration when stopped in drive and all accessories and lights off. transmission vibration at takeoff up to 30 mph, or 1,500rpm. the issue is constant, and honda dealer states it is a known problem.

While in low idle (less than 750 rpm) vehicle shudders while in drive or "s" gear. shudder decreases if car is shifted to neutral, or if brake continues to be applied and a bit more rpms are introduced by tapping the accelerator. happens in either regular drive or eco mode. doesn't happen all the time, but is annoying when it happens.

Noticeable vibration when vehicle idle on d and rpm falls below 600. vibration gone when rpm bounce back above 700, or when you switch to n. bought a new crv ex-l about a week ago, never experienced vibration for previous year model. *tr

Excessive vibration at idle.

My brand new honda after driven for 15-20 minutes begins to shake/vibrate when idling, sitting at a light or at low speeds. the steering wheel and the seats visibly shake. when easing off of the gas pedal the car lunges slightly. i am afraid this will get worse and was disappointed to hear from my dealer that there currently are no fixes for the problem. *tr

Bought the 2015 honda cr-v and it has a problem of vibration when at stop lights or stopped with the brake on. when it idles the vibration is quite obvious - passenger seat shakes. put the car in neutral and it stops. took the car to the honda dealership and said honda is aware of this problem and they are looking for a fix. i do hope it is soon as i am very disappointed that this is happening with a brand new car. sometimes also notice the engine revs up when going downhill - very disappointed and i would like to a fix to these problems immediately. *tr

New 2015 honda crv idles very rough and shakes the seats every time the car is stopped at an intersection, traffic light, or just idling in general. this is not the quality product that usually comes from honda corporation! we owned a 2002 odyssey for 13 years and never had a complaint or a problem with it other than general maintenance. i would never recommend a 2015 honda c-rv to anyone. i am a car salesman and deal with many people, average of 100 per month. my disappointment with this new vehicle on a scale of 1-10 is a definite 10. surely honda can come up with a solution to this problem which i understand from a local honda dealer has been registered by many people who have purchased this 2015 vehicle.

Took delivery of 2015 crv exl on 04-09-15. found pronounced drive train shudder while operating vehicle at speeds from idle to 30mph at 1000-1250 rpm. returned veh. to lia honda in northampton mass. where technician was able to duplicate and document complaint. service writer states that honda is aware of issue but has no fix. my 2011 crv ran smooth as glass. honda has been the benchmark for quality vehicles but has really dropped the ball on the 2015 crv. if a machine shudders or vibrates when in operation there is an indication that it was mis-designed, something is broken or will break in the near future. real shame that honda released this vehicle with this known problem. will certainly become a safety issue if something comes apart in the powertrain while the vehicle is at speed. *tr

There is an issue with the 2015 honda cr-v where the car vibrates and rattles significantly when idling in drive with brake depressed. the rpm seems to drop down to 600 and the engine starts making noise and vibrating. at the present time it is only an inconvenience and irritating but i feel that if this continues them we may be looking at premature wear and tear of parts just due to the excess vibrations. consumers may be in for huge spends to replace parts that were worn out over the years due to excessive vibrations in the car. *tr

The truck vibrates alot when it comes to a stop,at a traffic light.

With gear in drive, car noticeably vibrates/stutters while stopped. vibration is visible when looking at the passenger side seat when empty. rpm ranges from 500-600. vibration dissipates when vehicle is moving. *tr

When at a stop and in idle the car vibrates as if there is not enough rpm's to keep it running properly. also vibrates when driving slowly or at a lower rpm. waiting for a recall as honda has admitted that there is something wrong with the car due to the transmission and engine combination.

Shortly after i purchased my 2015 cr-v i noticed a vibration in the steering wheel when the rpms were between 1,000 - 1,200 and my foot was on the gas. the vibration disappeared when i removed my foot from the gas. i also noticed an increase in the rpms to 3,000 when going downhill with my foot off or on the brake and a loud humming noise coming from the engine compartment. the car does vibrate when idling at a red light but not enough to cause any problems yet. i only have 1,000 miles on the car and was also told by my honda dealership that honda is aware of this problem and doesn't have a fix yet. i have owned hondas since 1986 (accords) and have never experienced problems like the ones on the cr-v. i am beginning to regret buying this vehicle and agree that honda should definitely compensate cr-v owners asap. i'm beginning to worry more about additional problems as the car gets older with more mileage. haven't had it on the highway yet but am worried about similar problems other cr-v owners have experienced.

Strong vibration at idel (while in "d") while stopped at traffic light or stopped at stop sign. also vibrates while accelerating between 1000 to 1500 rpm. took it back to honda dealer and they did some testing on it and find out that there is a problem but didnt fix the issue by saying honda dont have any solution to the problem and honda is working on solutions also said that honda is aware of the problem.

I have bought 2015 honda cr v on 29th march 2015. i have feel vibration and shudder in driver as well as passenger seat while idling at traffic light or speeding from 20 miles to 50 miles. it is very annoying and distracting while driving. it can be safety concern while driving also. *tr

Vehicle shudders at about 20-25 mph and again at 40mph and sometimes at higher speeds.

Vibrations felt thru steering column, pedals and floor in the rpm range 1,000-1,500. happens during all normal driving speeds, very annoying and have requested a full refund. honda should not be able to sell without fully disclosing this defect. i would like to join a class action suit if not fully refunded. *tr

Vibration/shudder/low rpm's. noticed 2 days after driving the car home from the dealer. dealer was immediately contacted. was told to contnue driving the car, that it was probably nothing. took the car back within 2 weeks of purchase at which time i was told that honda knows about the problem and that there is no soluation at this time. they refussed to replace my brand new honda crv 2015 with a trouble fee car. and to this date (7 months later) they still have no soluation. my car vibrates and shudders all the time the rpm's are low causing a disconnect when engaging the gas peddle. honda said it's a software problem----which they knew about when they sold me the car---but again---have no solution. again, the honda crv 2015 vibrates/shudders/low rpm's when its idling or in motion----all the time!!

I bought honda 2015 crv-lx at mar 23 2015, and i noticed a terrible vibration when i drove to home after the car is warm and stop at stop-sigh in d gear. you can see the vibration in open windows, seats, etc and anything in the car. i went back to the dealership at mar 24 and the service guy drove another new crv to compare with mine and also got the totally same problem and then he said it is manufacturer problem so that they can't fix it. and then went back to ask the sales, sales said all crv has such problem and this purchase was done already so they can't do anything for me even this is a really super annoying problem for me and all the crv's owner. *tr

I bought a 2015 crv with 16 miles on it. from the beginning there has been shuddering when i drive at high speeds (or on any normal highway), and strong vibrations (rough idle). this is unacceptable on a 31k car. *tr

My 2015 honda cr-v touring model vibrates intermittently. it is worse when at idle such as at a stop sign or red light. it does happen, dangerously so while driving down the highway at speeds of 65-76 mph. honda call this a "characteristic of the car" "an annoyance". it is more than this. it is a safety issue. sow one is going to be seriously injured or worse. *tr

My first road trip in my new cr-v. driving at approx. 65 miles an hour it started vibrating violently. it was difficult to steer and maintain control. when i stopped at a red light still in drive but in idle the vibration continued. this went off and on for no apparent reason for 758 miles. then the adaptive cruise control stopped working. i would get a message acc off. this was also intermittent through out the trip. on the way back home driving the 758 miles i had the same problems. this is potentially a dangerous situation as it is very difficult to maintain control while driving. a side issue, not dangerous, the sunroof leaks when going through a power wash. hondas solution... don't go through a power wash. *tr

I bought 2015 cr-v on 3/14/2015, and noticed the vibration problem one week later. i reported to the dealership for several times, but they denied the car has such problem. the vibration is getting stronger and stronger that get me distracted and feel very uncomfortable while driving. on 4/11/2015 i brought the car to the service dept. of dealership, and service advisor told me that not only you have this problem, we cannot fix it, and we are waiting for instructions from honda headquarter. i was surprised when i heard this! i checked online and found so many many complains about this issue since last november, but honda still sell cr-v on market. i think this is irresponsible to the customers! honda should tell the truth to the customers and let them make the choice. honda keeps saying no safety issue, how can we believe them? why other cars don't have such problem? might be no safety issue for the new car right away, how about years after? how many years can honda guarantee? honda should face to this problem, and stop selling this car on the market, and recall all 2015 cr-v which have this problem as soon as possible! *tr

I purchased my 2015 honda-crv ex-l on march 17th 2015 from livermore honda in california and my new car driver and passenger seats start vibrating in idle, stop and driving mode with speed more than 60mph after driving for more than 45 minutes and that causing me back pain and headache and this will cause health hazards in the future and this is a serious safety and health issues. i took my car to honda livermore on march 24th and service advisor informed me this is the characteristic of honda crv2015. *tr

A strong vibration when vehicle is stopped and in drive. the vibration rattles the whole car- you can see the vibration in open windows, the passenger seat, the gear shift. uncomfortable drive and lack of confidence in the safety of my vehicle. scared to drive my car on long distances. first honda- probably last. *tr

My honda crv 2015 lx model vibrates at stop, all signal lights and bumper to bumper traffic, its really distracting the drive and driver. filed a complaint with america honda, but no use. they don't have fix right now.

I bought a honda crv 2015 ex-l. after driving it for one day experienced serious vibrations in driver and passenger seat while driving and even more intense when idling. i noticed an annoying vibration upon smooth acceleration, between 1000 and 1500 rpm. i had not noticed this problem on the demo i test drove, i feel that i pay 30000 dollar for vibratig chair.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 honda cr-v. the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, when the brake pedal was depressed, the vehicle shook and vibrated abnormally. the vehicle was taken to the dealer several times, but they were not able to provide a permanent remedy for the condition. the dealer test drove the vehicle and indicated that the failure was associated with the newly designed engine and transmission/power train. the contact stated that the condition continued to progress with no solution to repair the vehicle. the manufacturer provided no permanent remedy. the failure mileage was 800. sj

There is a pronounced vibration when the car is stopped and also when the rpm are at 1200 . it makes steering the car difficult and the ride feel unstable. the steering wheels shakes violently. also when you shift the car or put in park the vehicle continues to roll slightly or does not react quickly to the changing of the gear. *tr
