My son could have been killed or injured because of this vehicle. i bought this 2015 crv used with approximately 31,400. miles. checked the car fax no problems no accidents reported. the car dealer who inspected the car and serviced it. it had an oil job, battery, tires replaced. drove it for 4 months with no problems. i am still under the power train warranty. then december 17 the transmission failed while my 22 year old son was driving it on the roadway. just lost powers. someone eventually pushed his car off to the side of road and out of traffic. we had the car towed to joyce honda. although under warranty they refused to fix it. said the car had only 1 gallon of transmission fluid. no leaks. there was no problems prior, no lights lite up on the dashboard warning us to service or check the engine. no fumes. we didn't even own the car long enough to need an oil job yet. i spoke to other mechanics who said it's defective. it could notbhave been driven for four months on one gallon transmission fluid. i know honda has had many complaints with the same problem. it's a defective torgue converter that is burning off the transmission fluid. i have a case open with honda but they refuse to honor my power train warranty. this is a $4800 repair! honda needs to stand by its warranty.
Takata recall i'm driving with my honda cr-v on the freeway and my car suddenly slows down, from 70mph to 35mph and i pulled over and when i start to drive it doesn't move anymore, but the engine still turn on, it just doesn't move or back up. b i didn't hear any sounds when it happen.
I was driving car on city street about 40 miles hours, tried to accelerate twice , car started slowing down . the third time i tried to accelerate. the car finally begin to accelerate. the second time was driving on city street and went to yield right of was before making a right turn . i slowed to yield then accelerated the car stalled as it was stopped. i tried to accelerate again and then the care accelerated slowly. another car came through red light and was right on my bumper when my car stalled. this is very dangerous.
On may 4, 2019 i started the car and was about to drive out and the car could move forward when i put it into drive position. it reverse instead. after multiple tries, i had to call the roadside assistance and a tow truck removed the car to the honda dealer i bought i from. they discovered that the transmission was no good. after waiting for over a month for it to be fixed, i picked it up and was not satisfied with the performance. i brought it backand was told that the sound i was hearing comes from a "flat spot in the tire since it was sitting there for a long time and i should drive it for a month and if no changes i should buy new tire. " that did not make any sense to me so here i am trying to figur it out, very disgruntled, and dissatisfied!!. on top of that the vibrating of the car especially when it's idling... it makes no sense to me for a car this new to be in this condition. i need some help to solve this issue.
The car stalls while moving slowly in reverse. this is dangerous in two ways. way one, while moving in reverse the car stalls, and thus i stop moving when i and the people around me thought i would continue. the second way is i often end up reversing more quickly when i feel the car beginning to stall, this keeps the car from stalling but causes me to move in reverse faster than i would like to. this usually happens when the car is started from a cold start (after sitting overnight). . this issue has been happening to me for at least half a year. not every time i start the car, but at least once a week. i bought the car new in june 2015. also in general the car shudders significantly while idling in drive. i fear that soon the car may start stalling in drive as well while it is idling. many people report these same issues online, and a recall should be done before the problem gets worse as the cars age.
While driving, my water pump seized causing my drive belt to disengage my drive train. this caused my vehicle to over heat as well as the belt to rub on the engine. the friction from this caused the belt to start throwing embers. the smoke from the burning belt is what indicated to me that there was an issue. the amount of smoke and embers made me fear that my car had caught on fire. after getting my vehicle towed to the closest auto shop i was informed about tsb id #a17-063. service bulletin - the water pump seized or the drive belt shredded. the water pump bearing is out of specification. however, this is not a recall. had this happened at a different time and place, it could have easily caused an accident or if i was not able to get off the road fast enough i fear that my car would have caught on fire.
I just bought a 2015 honda cr-v 4 days ago. i was so happy to get something newer and to be rid of my other problem car. since having this car it has consistently been vibrating when idle and pushing down the break pedal while in drive like sitting at a light etc. i was told by dealer that's it's normal but it definitely is not normal and unbelievably uncomfortable and distracting while trying to focus on driving. it's embarrassing that anyone in the car also comments and this was suppose to be a newer car that i was happy about and proud of. i have since seen reviews online of so many of the same complaints. that is absolutely ridiculous and very scary that honda has not addressed this issue in a few years. what a horrible company to not fix an obvious issue that they've even acknowledged and to just let customers live with something messed up. honda better step up and fix this issue for those affected instead of being cowards and avoiding it! whether it's a recall or whatever, it is way past due for customers with these vehicles to be happy and listened too! robin
While stopped at red light intersection on busy city street, car idle in drive gear, terrible vibrations shook the whole car before engine shut off. car would not turn on or shift to park until placed in accessory mode. park. engine and accessory mode off then normal starting procedure to get car running again.
This vehicle vibrates it's steering wheel and inside the cabin at 55mph and higher making it annoying, unstable and unsafe.
I purchased a used certified 2015 honda cr-v from a dealer. within two days i noticed excessive vibration when idling in drive. i researched it and found out it's a honda known design flaw. they issue a bandaid fix (tsb 15-046) of new engine mounting brackets and headrests but this does not fix the vibration issue. honda knows about the issue but will not issue a recall or admit the design flaw and fix or repair the transmission. there are hundreds of complaints about this issue that have been logged in. until honda owns the issue and fixes it, i'm stuck with a defective and unsafe vehicle.
Transmission fluid leaking results in no power in driving on highway.cost $5,000 to repairing. could cause accidents if in traffic on free way. my son and i were luck just drove out of free way traffic jam and off ramp and stopped at traffic light.
When backing out of my garage into my driveway i would put my foot on the brake while i close the garage door and put on my seat belt. i would then put my foot on the accelerator to back out of my driveway but at times the car engine would rev-up and not move out of the driveway. i would then drive forward a few feet and then put the car in reverse and the car would move out of the driveway in a normal manner. this only happens a few times a month not everytime i back out of my garage.
Recently took my 2015 honda cr-v for another attempt to fix the issue. basically, the vehicle will vibrate harshly and shudder as if it will stall with the rpm's dropping to 300-500. it happens in multiple instances- when coming to a stop/stopped in gear, while on the highway going about 60-70 mph. it feels like the vehicle loses power/is about to stall off. i've been told by honda this is "characteristic" of the vehicle. if that's the case, why didn't they inform me this when purchasing the vehicle? bad move, honda.
I have experienced several issues with my 2015 honda cr-v: 1. lug nut corrosion: i have had several lug nuts replaced due to visual corrosion around the welded top to side area of the nut. replaced under warranty @ 36,000 miles. 2. engine / transmission vibration: low speed vibration, i can visibly see the passenger seat vibrate. high speed vibration ~ 70mph, this is felt through the seat and steering wheel. rear hatch vibration (booming) ~ 55 - 60 mph. the dealer has installed countermeasure parts @ 36,000 miles, but the vibration has gotten worse.
07jul2017: sudden, massive acceleration when braking to park' out-of-control slide/skid forward until slammed into park.
Terrible vibration while idling in gear, honda did not inform me of a current bulletin that has been issued for quite some time 15-046 for vibration issues with engine and transmission when i purchase vehicle. i informed them of vibration, they told me new engine style is causing vibration, nothing wrong with car
Excessive vibration throughout cabin. honda service recommended and applied the mod 1 repair. this has only moved the vibration around in the vehicle. now the vibration is much more felt in the steering wheel, the passenger seat and the rear seat. a much more aggressive vibration has now shown up at speeds around 70 mph - though this vibration is much more intermittent. the vibration has been an issue since i purchased the vehicle with 4 miles on it in july of 2015. i went back to the dealer initially and they suggested running the air conditioning or an accessory to minimize the problem. honda was working on a fix. still waiting for the fix and also wondering what serious problems this is going to cause down the road.

At a stop or red light car vibrates crazy. as soon as i accelerate from 0-40 the transmission vibrates sounding like ur going over a metal bridge. i let go off the gas petal the vibration stop i accelerate happens again.
My honda cr-v 2015 power suddenly turns off, car stalls, red oil light comes, car is still in reverse gear as i was backing out of garage. it had moved about 8 feet. after a moment or two engine light comes on. there is absolutely no power. to restart car i shift to park and proceed. all systems restart and no problem lights turn on. after three occurrences over about two months. i took car to honda service 08/22/2016. they noted they checked "car stops when going in reverse" and could nor get it to fail. they stated they made a system update "16-053 per bulletin pgm-fi software." they did not acknowledge any other safety recalls matching my problem. on 09/18/2016 i experienced the same problem. it was sunday and ray laks, honda was closed. i spent time looking up recalls and found your letter nvs-215sm to honda dealers dated 03/9/2015 which denotes the same problem i had - "loss of engine power while in motion." it would appear to be similar problem. perhaps ray laks, honda dealer, 3590 southwestern blvd., orchard park, ny 14127, 716-824-6300 did not double check my car for that update.
Honda cr-v 2015 and other years have vibration created by the cvt transmission. the cars rpm's drop at idol and the hole car shakes like a 2.0 earthquake. there are apparently more problems than this but honda is not publicly acknowledge ing the problem. it's been recalled for an alleged computer problem but i suspect they are trying over come the vibration. coverup. they put new pushings in to tampered vibration. coverup now dealer wants car back to fix but honda doesn't know how to repair it. engineering big mistake.
My car vibrates horribly at rest while in gear at a stop light, shakes so bad i have to put it in neutral. something rattles under my tail gate, i had it looked at, they said its a partial recall that hasn't been fixed yet. when i back up and put it in drive, my transmission gargles and my car shakes before it goes. it constantly shakes on the highway, ive had it realigned and tires balanced twice in 3 months. this car is awful.

I went alone to kohls on arizona ave. i was almost ready to park and almost at a standstill and ready to put the car in park. i remember putting my foot on the break and it seemed stuck and a few seconds later i recall a surge of acceleration and the car would not stop even as i attempted desperately to put my foot on the brake to stop the car. the surge of energy seemed to pull-steer my car to the right and it hit a parked car that was 3 spots to the right as there were no cars in the empty parking spots next to this car. my car almost went sideways and hit the car's front passenger side tire area and damaged it pretty badly. i was not able to control the car during this accident. i am concerned that this was a malfunction of the brake or some other operating system. i reviewed with my insurance claims agent re: my concerns re: a malfunction of the car breaks or some other system; they took care of the claim but didn't provide any guidance re: how to pursue my concerns re; malfunction: i called american honda company on june 13th and filed a complaint re; the accident to inform my concerns re: a malfunction that i feel caused this accident. i was given a case # 04758407 and told that i would be assigned a case manager who will call me within 24hrs. i was called by steven 310/783-2863 on 6/14 and let me know he was my case manager. in spite of many call to set up an apt to have my car evaluated, i have not yet received a call back to coordinate a time to get my car evaluated to see if there was any malfunction during this accident and explain to me how this could have happened w/o a malfunction as the accident is quite bizarre. i googled to see if honda cr-v 2015s have had any break malfunctions'i saw a report that had several incidents almost identical to mine in a parking lot or near parked position.
When this keyless entry vehicle is stationary, engine can be turned off and driver can exit without shifting to park. the vehicle will sound an alarm and display "shift to park" on one of it's screens. however, this does not prevent the vehicle from moving on any form of incline. we have almost lost the car three times in people's driveways with this problem. yes, the preferred solution is to apply the emergency brake before exiting but that is not a real-world solution for flat-landers (this solution is only used on steep inclines). our previous ignition key car would not let us remove the ignition key until the transmission was placed in park. this deficiency could easily result in an out-of-control runaway car.
Vehicle stopped and idling while in gear, vibration felt throughout the cabin. to the point where it is immediately observable, distracting, and could possibly give me a headache on longer stop-and-go trips. contacted honda consumer affairs and they had dealer perform the applicable fixes but issue remains. dealer claims they can't feel the vibration, however, they aren't in the car as long as i am (or are trying to cover the problem). honda claims they can do nothing else but they will inform me of any fixes in the future. also mentioned that i should report this issue elsewhere as they can no longer help me at this time. per their suggestion, i'm reporting this here.
Engine loses power, gears dont shift in timely manner, wouldnt go in reverse, while car is in motion and in traffic.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 honda cr-v. while the vehicle was in the garage, the contact shifted into the drive position and the vehicle rolled backwards without warning. the vehicle crashed into the mailbox. a police report was not filed and there were no injuries. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was not diagnosed nor repaired. the manufacturer was aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 7,500.
When car is on idle with drive gear , the car gets vibrate and it gets worse when air condition is turn on. after the repair of service bulletin 15-046, the issue is vibrating and it gets worse when turn ac on. the first service was on 1/7/16 with 136 milages and the second service was on 1/19/16 with 678 milages with no resolution. when i drive to work, the vibration and shaking cause my body get nauseated and headaches.
Bought a honda crv-lx 2015 two months ago only to have a vibration problem after three weeks. hondas fix was to put new head rest with shorter post and bushings under radiator, rear tail gate , transmission and engine so as to mask vibration problem. after doing this the steering became hard not like it was when we first got the vehicle, the steering goes from very easy to almost manual i consider this a safety problem. unfortunately honda of america will not acknowledge that it was a design flaw and the car should not be sold. it vibrated at a stop very bad then it feels like you have studded snow tires on at 40 to 50 miles an hour which they claim is a software fix there is a class action law suit in california against honda for these problems.
On three seperate occasions a warning light in the midi window an error message comes up: "some driver systems cannot operate"
Vibrating when stop running and rpm rises when going down on a hill even whe push the brakes rises to 2500 rpm brakes or tires sound like grinding when coming to a stop
Intermittent vibration while at idle or 2200 rpm while driving. taken to dealership for resolution 3-4 times but the problem persists. was advised by dealership where vehicle was bought to seek help from another dealership. manufacturer software upgrade did not address the issue, we were even advised the software update decrease fuel efficiency by 20%. brand new car running like a worn-out vehicle. honda says it is not a safety issue, firmly disagree, eventually consistent vibrations will cause parts to loosen. do we have to wait for accidents to happen before honda and the government to address this issue? when will consumer safety protection come first before profits and reputation? it is plain disgraceful...

We bought our 2015 honda crv within a few months and less than 4,000 miles it started vibrating excessively looking online this seems to be a manufacturers problem. when we called the dealer they played dumb to any issues yet the amount of complaints our horrendous.
Honda cr-v 2015 vibration . last year i purchased a 2015 honda cr-v and as with most other owners, it has a bad vibration issue while at a stop in drive mode with foot on the brakes. i also vibrates at low speeds between 40 -50 mph and around 70 mph. i has been in the shop 4 times but still vibrates while stopped in the drive mode (in gear with foot on brake). i have filed a complaint with honda corp and they said even with the 4 suggested repairs which has already been preformed on my car by the local honda service center, this will not stop the vibration issue and that honda has no other known fix to stop the vibration issue and that they will not replace the car. the local honda service center verbally acknowledges the vibration issue but refused to put it on the service report that there is still a vibration issue. i see all the post from other owners with the same issue. this a distraction and i consider it a safety issue as one, time while i was setting at a red light, it started vibrating and while i was distracted by the seat and car vibrating, the truck behind me blew his loud horn and i almost ran the red light that had changed while i was distracted. i know there was a class action law suit but i do not know the status of it. they had to know about the problem prior to sending the 2015 honda cr-v to the dealers, but nobody informed the buyers of this issue.
I purchased a 2015 cr-v. on october 1st noticing significant vibrations at idle which became more pronounced under way especially between 60 and 70 miles / hour. brought the vehicle, to the dealer, on october 3rd to determine what the cause of the vibration might be. the vibrations were confirmed by the mechanic during a test drive. the front wheel alignment and balance were checked and found to be within specs. a service bulletin was found instructing the mechanic to perform a software update. a second test drive showed no improvement. honda technicians were called who acknowledged that they were aware of the issue and that honda was working on it (apparently since 2014). the technicians indicated that the issue was thought to be related to "harmonic distortions" associated with the use of the drive train, found in the honda accord, in the 2015 cr-v. the honda technicians offered assurances that there were no safety issues. i then took the vehicle to a different dealer who checked the same mechanical parameters including the software update with no improvement. the matter has been further acknowledged, by honda, as evidenced in a youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vej45wx9yci). a cursory search of the web shows quite a number of reports of the issue. apart from the effect on driveability and no resolution in sight, my concerns are the potential long term effects on the vehicle especially with regard to the drive train and other possible safety related effects.

At a full stop with brake pedal applied, excessive vibration occurs from engine . both passengers in front and rear can feel it along with driver. rpms drop below 600. feels like the vehicle is going to stall. only occurs at full stop when warmed up with brake pedal applied. seems like low rpm problem. will bring back to dealer this week. it seems many others here are experiencing same problem. this vehicle has less than 4000 miles on it and was purchased new . manufacture date was 02/15. wondering if this is problem associated with the current recall. please address. thank you. *tr
The car is vibrating like crazy. we bought it brand new and i called the sales person after purchasing and he told me there are complaints about the vibration but nothing is wrong and that it is normal. the vibration is getting worse and am getting sick of driving a $30,000 car with vibration.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 honda cr-v. while driving approximately 40 mph going down a hill, the contact placed the vehicle in low gear but it failed to slow down. the vehicle kept going until the full brake was applied. there was no warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was taken to a local dealer who inspected the vehicle and found no failures. the manufacturer was not notified. the failure mileage was 2,000.
Vibrations upon acceleration between 10-50 mph. i can hear and feel the vibration and it occurs every time i slow down below 30 and then accelerate again and every time i pull off from a complete stop. i took it to the dealership today and they said they were aware for the past few months of this issue and that honda is working on a fix for the issue but as much as honda engineers make, a month should be more than enough time to figure it out. i feel the issue will not fix itself and will get worse with time. my family uses this vehicle and being broke down on the side of the road seems unsafe to me especially with a new $30,000 vehicle.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 honda cr-v. while at a stop, the vehicle began to vibrate. in addition, while driving at various speeds, the vehicle, seats, and steering wheel vibrated. the failure recurred on numerous occasions. the vehicle was taken to a dealer who was unable to diagnose or repair the vehicle. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 210.
The car vibrates a lot at idling. this is a vey common occurrence in all 2015 honda cr-v. the excess vibrations are also felt at low speeds, especially when accelerating from a stop.
I purchased my honda cr-v touring 2015 on august 29, 2015,approximately five weeks ago. it has a vibration when stopped while in drive (like at a stop light or stop sign) it also has an intermittent strong vibration in the steering wheel on highways. i am very unhappy with my purchase and as i searched this problem on the internet, i've seen a lot of people are experiencing this problem. they all say when they take it back to the dealer it does not get repaired and apparently honda is acknowledging that there is a problem now. being that i work,i do not have time to go back to the dealer and sit there knowing (from other people's experiences) that it will not get corrected.
