Takata recall. received a recall notice in march 2016 indicating replacement parts would be available in "summer 2016." called local honda dealer today (7/27/16) and was told part was ordered on may 7, 2016 and still has not been delivered. no estimate of when it might be available, told i would receive a phone call to schedule service when the part came in. meanwhile, i have no choice but to drive around in a vehicle (my only vehicle) that could result in my death in the unfortunate circumstance that i were to be involved in an accident that caused the airbag to deploy. this is unacceptable! honda has known about this since march-it is now almost august and i have no idea how much longer i will have to wait to have this fixed. praise god that i have not been involved in an accident yet and i will continue to pray that i am not because i have no other vehicle to use in the meantime. my local dealer has done their job by ordering the part-it shouldn't take over 2 months to have it delivered.
Takata recall. received recall notice in march of 2016. went into lynnwood honda for appointment for airbag recall in may 2016. was informed that airbags not available at that time. name and information was then taken so that i could be contacted when available. now it is august 2016 and past the 60 days. concerned about safety and driving vehicle. did have a service done in june 2016 for other maintenance and did double check that name was on the list, however airbag replacement still not available at that time.
Takata recall, have been trying since may to have my air bags fixed. called up 3 dealers with no results, said they are coming in very ,very slow. called up honda aug, 8/8/16 they have never called be back, why has our government let this slide. i am on vacation in ny, what can be done.
Takata recall-i received a letter informing me of the recall and the danger involved.called the dealer and was told they don't have the parts. to wait for a second letter.also called the recall line. i really believe there isn't enough being done . it is taking to long. repairs aren't being done.action has to be taken against takata and honda has to fix these cars.our safety is at high risk.

Last spring time at the end of april 2016 i received a notification from honda saying that my vehicle was in the list of "recall" for defect of the air bag. the letter says that the part " will be available in the summer of 2016". it never happened, later at the end of august, i called honda complaining about the promise they told me to repair my car airbag on summer as they l said in they letter. the she promise to do in the month of september 2016, it never happen. today 11/01/2016 around 11.45 i called again and the customer service told me now they don't know when they will have the airbag available. i told her i need my car, especially now on winter is when i need it most because i suffer from asthma and it's too difficult to me going around walking. she proposed i take a car from a honda dealer free of charge but i have to pay the insurance cost. i refuse to pay any money for any other expenses except for gas usage. i'm paying already insurance for my car sitting in a garage without usage. please see what could you do in order to speed the waiting process that is taking longer than what the promised. thank you. note: i writing a date of the honda notification. *tr
Takata recall, i received a letter from american honda about a safety recall related to the airbag of my honda crv 2011. this car was in the state of ri where my daughter was going to college so the closest honda dealer had the car towed to there closest location and gave me an smaller car with the excuse that i was going to receive a car with similar cargo space than the crv as soon as we have to move our daughter out of once she finished her semester and also that the car was going to be towed to nh when we move to nh but now their customer service department is denying that they made such promises and asking us to cover the towing back to nh and borrow others peoples car to move out of ri. in fewer words they are running away from their responsibility and lying to their customers. now i am in nh and they are holding the car against my will unless i pay the towing myself. now i have 30 days to register my car in nh but thanks to american honda i won't be able to do so.i understand that accidents and fatalities are more important than my case but american honda should not take advantage of the gravity of other cases to abuse and lie to their customers.

Takata recall - my car was added to the recall list in february 2016 and i was notified by mail in march. i only heard through another customer in april that if i contact honda, a rental will be provided because the parts are not available until "probably" late summer 2016. honda did not notify me that a rental car could be provided but rely on the customer to call them. this defect could cause injury or death to the driver or passengers of our car. i have called 8 dealerships in the nyc area multiple times this week. 2/8 said they could help me rent a car, but only up to $35/day and the difference/ insurance and storage for my defective vehicle is my financial responsibility. although the honda website claims to provide rentals at no charge. honda is providing false information in their recall campaign, and i can not afford a rental car in my area because of the difference in price and limited availability. honda is failing to provide a safe car for me to drive my toddler to daycare in every day. i'm scared to drive my car but have no choice for at least the next three months.

Takate recall - i want to make you aware that the honda corporation has not effectively ensured that its independently owned/operated dealerships are addressing all affected drivers of the recalled vehicles. drivers who are under the age of 18 are not able to rent cars from enterprise rental services, which is being used as the sole alternate transportation option by hendrick honda, woodbridge, va. hendrick honda does not have loaner vehicles. therefore, anyone under the age of 18 who drives one of the affected vehicles has no options to get alternate transportation. obviously, there are other dealers in the nova area, but in a call to three dealers, they have run out of loaner cars. my family is affected because my daughter, age 17, cannot drive the other family vehicle due to her small size and the large size of the other family vehicle. it would seem to me that since a 17 year old was a person who was killed in the airbag incident that, in part, prompted this airbag recall, that the honda corporation and all its independent dealers would be expected to have appropriate alternate transportation options for all drivers, not just those over the age of 18. i have filed a service claim with the honda corporation and have requested that the service director from hendrick honda, from whom i purchased the vehicle, to whom i was referred to get the alternate transportation, and with whom i have done business for well over 5 years, call me to discuss this problem in more detail. however, i feel that the larger issue is that honda and its dealers have not looked at its entire customer base to ensure that all potential drivers of these cars are covered.

Takata recall - filing a complaint regarding time frame to fix the air bag issue. i received a letter back in april about this possibly deadly issue, only to be told it won't be rectified until late summer/early fall of 2016. i drive a dangerous, very busy highway in miami, 4 times a day with 2 children in a car that's basically a time bomb. and the fact that a fix to this issue wouldn't be available until months after i was notified is not acceptable. i contacted a local dealership (braman honda) twice about a free loaner (as i was told this was an option) and no one got back to me. i then asked about having my airbag disengaged so it wouldn't be a threat. i was told they wouldn't do that. so still no help, and i was left with one option, buy a new car. i traded my cr-v in at a different car dealership for a used one. i'm disappointed with honda, with the airbag manufacturer and the local dealership for not helping. i feel like they are getting away with murder. i am filing this complaint as part of a safety recall letter that was sent to me by honda, where it states to do this if you are dissatisfied with the amount of time the repairs took in relation to the receipt of the letter. thank you. *tr
Takata recall hello, i just received a replacement vehicle while honda waits to figure out how to fix the inflators. fortunately, i did not get to test whether my vehicle was affected. however, instead of receiving a replacement small-size suv, they gave me a mid-sized sedan in the interim. this is a poor trade, and i will incur additional costs as i have to move. is there anything that can be done about it? i feel ripped off since i was apparently driving a frag-grenade around for the last few years.
