Takata recall: on 12/6/2016 per recall honda dealer replaced both driver side and passenger front air bag inflators. in july 2017, while car in park and running, dash airbag sensor light came on as passenger was putting on her seat belt and remained on while driving until car engine was shutoff. upon restarting car, under same conditions, airbag sensor did not come on again. on 7/27/17 this issue was evaluated by the same dealer with testing revealing "front passenger weight sensor - intermittent failure". told repair of such is not part of air bag sensor recall since it is in the seat, starting with replacing seat side assembly with just the part costing approx $1100 + labor cost-unknown cost, advised for safety, to avoid unexpected air bag deloy, do not have passenger in front seat if air bag sensor light is on.

We have replaced the defective takata airbag in august 2016. the vehicle has the new airbag now. we were involved in an accident on dec 6th 2016. my vehicle was not moving at a traffic light our vehicle was hit from the rear end by a chevy truck that is traveling at approx 30miles per hour because the other driver failed to stop on time. due to the impact of the crash from the rear, my vehicle was jerked frontward and hit the vehicle in front of my car. the vehicle is badly damaged at the rear and is also damaged on the front. my wife who is driving my vehicle was badly injured. the new air bag did not deploy. she smash her face onto the steering wheel. she has a cut on her left eyelid and half her face including her left eye is swollen now. my friends and i have a question. after being hit at 30miles per hour from the rear, why is the newly replaced air bag not deployed? we were hit from the back at approx 30 miles per hour and we also hit the car in front of us. *tr

Almost a year ago i recieved a recall for the passenger side airbag for my car with reports of serious injury/death. i called all local dealerships. no one has the airbag available to change. they promised to call when the airbag became available. i just received another recall notification in which honda recommends no one sit in the passenger seat. and yet there are still no local dealerships willing to give me a date to install a new one. please help! this is absurd that honda thinks i can just not put a person in the passenger seat. this problem needs priority given the risk of personal harm. honda needs to give me a reasonable time frame to fix this! a year with no answer is just horrible!!!!!
I bougho my crv in december 2013 and service the car regularly every 3-4 months. the power steering fluid is leaking and the steering wheel tightens each turn and makes the car unsafe to drive. the dealership where i service the car told me the earliest they can look at it is in 5 days and to just keep putting power steering fluid. the inside front light does not work when opening the door, you need to push it. the key does not unlock the doors properly and the theft alarm triggers on for no reason at all. since this is my only vehicle, i'm frustrated with the problems and it is becoming expensive to repair especially when i service it regularly. you would think the dealership would tell me of these problems.
Im not completed the recall because the dealer dont have the parts im waiting

I took my car in for an takata airbag recall; when i got the vehicle back my ac no longer worked. before bringing it in, i had a recharge & system check by honda.

Takata recall--i received a letter in march 2016 letting me know of the recall, that the parts would be available the summer of 2016, and they would contact me again when they were available. i called the honda service number in september 2016 and was told they would soon be available. i have yet to hear back from honda and it is now november 2016.
Honda issued the recall due to faulty airbags in early spring of 2016, notifying me through a letter that the remedy will be available in the summer of 2016. the notification letter informed me that if i got in a car accident, my airbags could explode leading to a lethal outcome. despite this grave danger, honda did not yet provide a fix for this problem and failed to notify me when the solution would become available.
Takata recall.i am very concerned about driving this vehicle until the airbags are replaced. it is a possible death trap! even trying to avoid an accident could set off the airbags and cause my death! i need my car taken care of now. my complaint is the delay in taking care of this! it is a matter of life & death!
Takata recall. i received a letter from american honda (nhtsa recall 16v-346) stating that my 2007 honda cr-v (vin [xxx]) was subject to a recall and that parts wouldn't be available until i received a second letter, sometime in late summer/fall. today i called my local dealer asking for a replacement car, because i do need to drive a full car several times a week, and they told me to call honda at 888-234-2138. when i did, i was assigned a case number ([xxx]) and, after two 30-minute calls, i was told that: 1) they wouldn't provide a replacement car, because "i don't need it on a daily basis", 2) a case manager would review my case and contact me "within 3-4 weeks", 3) if anything happened to the passenger in the meantime, i would be responsible to that, because "they had told me". all this is absurd and completely unprofessional and dangerous. i understand that this recall is probably costing honda billions of dollars, but it's one of the risks of doing business, and they can't deem customers responsible for that. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
2007 honda cr-v. consumer writes in regards to dealership representative failure to provide loaner vehicle until installation of replacement parts to repair driver and front passenger airbag recall notice. *smd
No "incident" has happened yet. my complaint is that i shouldn't have to wait for an "incident" such as injury or death to happen. if i get into an accident my airbag could kill me and there is no "remedy yet". the nhtsa recall number: 16v-061 recall date: february 12, 2016 manufacturer recall number: jy0 needs to happen immediately or provide vehicle owners with other forms of transportation.
Honda has exceeded recall complaint #10898004. for both driver and passenger side airbags. not co-operating in giving a loaner either till reports done on 8/24/16. 2 honda vehicles in our household.
Takata recall i first called honda about the recall in march of 2016. they told me they would have parts until the summer and to call back in july. i expressed my concern about the safety of the vehicle and the response was "i't just as unsafe as it has been for the last 9 years". really comforting. i called back in july and they were on a two week wait to repair the driver side airbag. on july 22, they loaned me a vehicle to drive in the interim. on august 8, they repaired my driver airbag but still did not have parts for the recalled passenger airbag. they took back the loaner and said that all of my passengers need to ride int he back seat until they can fix it. this is an absurd solution for a family. i purchased a family sized vehicle to transport my large family. i started a case with honda corporate that day and they told me they would review it and get back to me in 3 business days. i called several times after not hearing from them and finally heard back from them today, august 24. they would not authorize another loaner for the passenger airbag recall and said that i could drive the unsafe vehicle for another week until the parts came in. the customer service with honda is very poor. i understand millions of people are calling because of this recall but i also understand that millions of people don't want to put their families at risk. honda only cares about the money, not the people. to tell a family that a great solution is for every one to sit in the back seat is not helping. i know these things take time, and i'm happy to be patient as long as you are working with me as well. honda is not doing this.
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 honda cr-v. while driving 35 mph, the contact rear ended another vehicle. the air bags failed to deploy. the contact sustained injuries to the breast bone, which did not require medical attention. a police report was filed. the vehicle was towed to a collision lot. the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. the manufacturer was not aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 165,000.
Takata recall i own a 2007 honda crv. i am very concerned that because my vehicle has only been registered in ny state, i am being forced to drive an unsafe vehicle. i have the same takata part (passenger side airbag) as the vehicles located in other states. i have the documentation to prove that. i know that the recall has been expanded, and that i am in zone c. my car dealership has informed me that other vehicles same model same year have had their passenger air bags replaced already. apparently they are in one of the good zones. yet i am being told by both the dealer and honda that, even though parts are available, my car is not eligible. yet cars in states that border mine, including pa and oh are able to get their airbag inflators replaced. i don't believe that the humidity everywhere in pa is higher than everywhere in ny. the humidity in my area this summer has been in the 80's and 90's. i feel that these "zones" are arbitrary, and designed to help honda rather than concerned with the safety issues of the vehicle owners. i want honda to repair my vehicle now, or at least provide me with a safe loaner vehicle. as it stands now, i can't take the chance of allowing anyone to ride in the passenger seat of the vehicle. i was able to get the driver side inflator replaced, but my vin is not under recall. just because my state is not in the correct zone does not mean my car is safe. i feel like i'm sitting in a ticking time bomb. please help me to drive safely again.
Takata recall. since i bought my vehicle in august 18, 2016, my air bag light has always been going on and off. some periods were a bit more spaced out than others. ever so often i'll see recalls for my year in particular and it's always been concerning because this has been an outgoing occurence since nearly day one..i would honestly feel better having a new vehicle instead of a timebomb or fixed asap..finally messaging about it because even tho my specific vin isn't under any recalls, rather be safe than sorry with this being a huge deal in past couple of years.

Takata recall i live in hilo and when i was notified from honda about the recall i took my car to big island honda the local dealer. i have been waiting over 3 months to have it taken care of. the dealer keeps telling me they are waiting for parts. in the meantime my wife cannot ride in the passenger seat. i'm frustrated about this.

Takata recall: asked for repair about 2 months ago. told by dealership parts are on order called today and dealership told me parts may be ready in 1-2 more months -- they don't know when they will come in. called the airbag hotline for honda -- and was told a rental car could be offered. i am extremely disappointed the dealership did not tell me they would offer a rental car. i am extremely disappointed the dealership doesn't know when the parts will come in. if this is a deadly problem, the dealership is not taking it seriously.

Takata recall since july 18, 2016 i have made five calls to honda to inquire of estimated time arrival for parts of passenger side airbag. no eta was able to be given to me. honda reps suggested that they were working diligently to solve problem, and strongly advised that passenger seat should not be used. one rep stated that it could be until 2017 for parts to arrive to my local honda dealer. reps have stated that my case #04965364 has been appointed a case manager, but no case manager has ever contacted me. since 8/04/2016, i have made three requests for alternative transportation, but no one from honda has contacted me to expedite this request. in a nutshell, my complaint focuses on the fact that honda advises not to use passenger side seat of vehicle for a still undetermined length of time, yet will not provide me with an alternative form of transportation until such time as parts are ready to remedy airbag recall.

I rec'd letter from march and july on recalls concerning my vehicle. i'm extremely worried about these recalls!! i have small grandchildren that i drive everywhere. i'm told parts aren't available to fix the issues for a few months, if that. i want to know if my local honda dealer (voss honda, tipp city ohio) has to provide me with a vehicle free of charge until my honda is fixed. the last recall even states, honda suggest that you avoid having a passenger sit in the front passengers seat until the recall repair has been performed. i do not feel safe in my car and need to know my rights

Takata recall. our vehicle was recalled in may of 2016 for the driver's side airbag. honda leased a vehicle to drive until our car was repaired. appx. 1 1/2 months. we just received another recall for the same vehicle stating that the passenger side airbag must be replaced. honda is refusing to supply a vehicle this time stating that no one should ride in the front passenger seat until the bag has been replaced. possibly sometime in the fall of this year. they stated that if we were in an accident and the airbag deployed it could cause injury or death. thair remedy is to have one of us to set in the back seat while the other drives. if we have more then four people, we should drive two cars. can anyone help us with this situation?
