Driving along highway speed and the car brakes abruptly and the accelerator pedal was unresponsive. if this would have happened at rush hour, this would have caused a pile-up. if this would have happened in front of a semi, i might be dead. i moved across two lanes of traffic with no throttle control. the car regained throttle response after about 45 seconds.
The crash mitigation activated twice in two different situations almost causing me to get rear ended twice. the first time was when i was going through a roundabout, the car in front of me was a normal car length ahead as we both entered the circle. the car in front turned left and i was going straight through. at this time the car was out of my way and in the turn and suddenly my car slammed on the brakes almost to a complete stop. the car behind me also stopped abruptly and nearly rear ended me. my left hand was resting on the wheel and the sudden stoppage made my fingers crunch up into the steering wheel feeling like a "jammed" finger. the second time the crash mitigation activated was at 0550 in the morning on the way to work. i was entering a 4-way with no vehicles in front of me. i was approaching the intersection at around 25 mph and midway through the intersection the car slammed on it's brakes almost to a clear stop. i down shifted and when it released i pressed the gas and about ...
Im having the same issue that another recall on a similar model has recieved the dc-dc converter has a problem charging the 12v battery causing engine failure, power failure , stearing failure and abs failure. i am unable to turn on hazard lights because of it also battery will take u jump but will not keep the charge in the battery. i was driving home and on a flat street the car was losing all instrement lights the power stearing light came on as well as the battery light the abs light and the ims light. i had to force the wheel to turn to a safe location due to being unable to turn on any warning lights. i could have been hit by another vehicle. i was driving in city conditions. i brought my vehicle to the dealership and they say my vin number does not match the recalled one.
Driving behind i was driving behind traffic was pulling up to a red light at the intersection put my foot on the brake and got nothing at all the brake was hard as a rock i wound hitting two cars and plowing into a tree i even tried hitting the emergency rake button nothing no skid marks no nothing the car just kept on rolling
I purchase this car in june of 2019; i had the car for approx 5 months. i told the honda dealer mechanic that something was wrong with the brakes when i bought it. i brought it back in september. they claim they checked the brakes and everything was find. i had a maintenance check and an oil check. a month in half later i experience the problem with the brakes i was complaining about in september. on 11/14/19 i drove my car to a location no problems. i parked the car . when i went back to turn on the car that's when the brake lights came on saying electrical brake problem. i read they had a recall on the electrical brake system. i wonder did this car ever got fixed from the recall. turned my car on and the brake system light begin flashing stating electric parking brake problem. the red light continued blinking. the car was in park when this happen. the car was stationary. i drove the car on with the warning lights still on.
The car brake stop working when the warning sign came on. i was driving on the highway upon getting off the high on a ramp the brakes froze i wasnt able to apply brakes for about 40 seconds because it became stiff . that's when the warning sign came on . this wasnt my first report on this problem
Upon stopping and removing the driver seat belt, the electronic monitoring system is supposed to engage the emergency brake to prohibit the vehicle from rolling when stopped. the emergency brake has not, repeat, has not engaged multiple times upon parking my vehicle and the vehicle has rolled forward or backward, depending on the situation.
It was raining, i went to slow down and it was as if the front wheels locked up, tcs blinking on and off, and the tires remained pulling as if power was still being sent to the front two, locked up, tires and i had no control as the car pulled me straight forward into the side of another vehicle resulting in a collision that had me hit a stopped car so hard it spun the other car around and totaled my car. this all happened within 500 feet of where i initially pulled out onto the road i was traveling on when the car started to malfunction to the road where i attempted to turn onto to avoid the crash and could not maneuver the vehicle at all.
Auto braking when going onto or off a highway ramp/exit. vehicle is in motion and i'm concerned of getting rear ended. doesn't always occur. when using remote start the heated front seats do not come on i have to get into the car and start it.
The vehicle experienced an intermittent but sudden and complete loss of braking power while driving on the highway moving at around 40mph. in part due to the low speed, the vehicle was safely maneuvered off the road once braking power was regained. the car dealership was able pin the issue to an electrical circuit failure in the brake control unit (honda error codes v300-49 and v3003-68) and recommended changing the vsa modulator unit. regular scheduled maintenance done on the vehicle just a month prior to the incident at the same dealership indicated no observed issues with braking. attached is the invoice of the vsa unit replacement work performed as recommended.
