Passenger airbag replaced from recall and driver side air bag not replaced is not in recall. the show marketplace on cbs did a segment on dealership ripoffs and came across the air bag(s) issue on a 2008 honda civic. (takata) is the company for said airbags. same make and model as mine.has metal shards need to be replaced was not recalled. this is a safety concern and should be addressed while the recall is out. these airbags can go off at anytime while driving or sitting

Takata recall after numerous mailings from honda encouraging me to have my defective airbag replaced, i finally called their service hotline in march 2019. i emphasized the need to obtain a "free loaner vehicle" as boldly advertised in their mailing, and how my schedule would not allow me to have the repair done without such accommodations. i was told i would receive a return phonecall the next day from turnersville honda to schedule my appointment. two weeks went by without a return call, so i contacted turnersville honda myself to schedule an appointment. after ~15minutes on the phone, the service rep informed me that they "do not offer loaner vehicles" despite what was stated in the advertisement. i then contacted american honda's corporate office to see if they could assist in fulfilling their promised accommodations. despite an additional 3 months and a dozen phonecalls and promises for assistance, i am still no closer to having this defect repaired. my case number in this matter is 09466794. as working parents with a full schedule, two small children, and two older parents battling cancer, we simply cannot deal with these sorts of obstacles in getting a potentially deadly safety defect repaired. we expect reasonable and timely accommodations to be made, especially when they are so boldly advertised in the recall notifications. i hope you can encourage honda to follow through with their legal and moral obligations to repair our vehicle.

My car was in the dealership for a recall repair and every since then the srs light seems to come on. the srs light first came on when i had a passenger in the passenger side getting out from the car exiting it the car the car is a 2010 with 35000 miles it's a one owner car never in an accident and repaired always at the dealer all service history. the only person that's mess with this system is the dealer who's tried to repair and get the light off srs light and still is not fixed wanting me to pay almost $1,800

I went in to have the recall repaired done for airbags. days later my airbag light came on i notified honda and was told i had to pay for an inspection. the light comes and goes. i have never had an issue prior to them supposedly fixing a recall now my airbag will not stay off. they claim it has nothing to do with the recall repair but i find that hard to believe. this was never an issue before they fooled with my car. this is a major safety concern i have two small children and i can't allow something to happen to them driving in an unsafe vehicle

Honda finally replaced the passenger side takata airbag on 1/18/2018 but not the driver's side? i have been hit in the rear by 2 cars since buying this car in 2010. no airbag inflated but every time i drive this car i am terrified of the airbag situation. why aren't they replacing the driver side airbag too? my anxiety grows every time i have to drive somewhere.

Takata recall. psychological effect that there may be a problem with the airbags of the 2010 honda civic.

Hit a rut, hole, shallow. lights for airbag(near steering front) went off. airbag did not engage. i was doing a u-turn, turning right off highway and then left for u-turn in front of a gas station. why the station had left a hazard for customers to run in to as i did, a turn, i don't understand. loud noise from right front, and before completed my turn. sound came as i was turning.

Takata recall the vehicle was sold to me without airbags. the auto dealer will not take responsibility for the missing airbags. a recall was issued on the airbags for the vehicle and that is when i found out the vehicle was sold to me without them. i called the auto dealer and they said they knew nothing about it. they were supposed to call me back but as of this date, they have not done so. i was sold an unsafe vehicle and the will not take responsibility for it.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 honda civic. while driving 65 mph, the air bag warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was taken to the dealer (honda of tenafly, 28 county rd, tenafly, nj 07670) where it was stated that due to the high mileage on the vehicle, the contact had to pay for the repair. the contact agreed to pay for the repair. it was diagnosed that the srs unit, and passenger and driver side air bags needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was contacted at 800-999-1009 and stated that since the vehicle had high mileage, the contact had to pay for the repair. a case number was not provided. the approximate failure mileage was 118,000.

The car spun out of control while proceeding to drive after stopping at the stop sign. the car flipped over and landed upside down with the driver inside. the tamara airbags did not deploy.

I wonder when they are going to recall my car because of the takata recall. i am scared every time i drive that someone might hit me and the air bag explode. when i call them, they say they are not recalling my year. why not? if it is defective, it should be recalled.

Received notice in mail that there was a recall for airbags. contacted honda of marysville (wa) on april 27 @ 3:30pm to make a service appointment , spoke to a [xxx], was told he would contact me with a date and time to bring the vehicle in. called and left him a message on his direct line ([xxx]) to make sure i have gave him all the information needed the following day. i waited until may 20th, when i called honda of marysville again, and spoke with a [xxx], who said she had put my information into the system and someone from service would contact me to make the appointment-- as of 9/9/17 i still have heard nothing from the service center.. they have not made any attempt to remedy my vehicle in a reasonable amount of time. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

Takata recall manufacturer has failed to provide correct documentation on the remedy. the recall notice, updated on jan 14, 2017, asserts that the remedy parts will become available in late summer/fall 2016, but the remedy is not yet available. clearly this is false and must be corrected.

There maybe metal objects in the airbags and can harm or kill me the driver or second person in the car.

Takata recall a accident but airbag didn't use, and then i repaired the car, replaced the door. yesterday i went to dealer to sell my car, they told me this problem, but it is not mine, the vehicle should be recalled, and my electronic control system, vehicular audio system cable doesn't work too. my friend was injured and went to emergency room, it costed thousand of dollars.

I received a letter from honda in july 2016, stating that my passenger airbags were being recalled and the parts would be ready in late summer/early fall 2016. the letter stated that i should not allow anyone to sit in my passenger seat until the airbags were replaced as shrapnel could be dislodged in an accident. ithe is now the end of december 2016 and i have still not heard back from honda with a solution. i also don't feel that it is ethical to assume that should shrapnel fly from my airbags during an accident, no one else in the car not sitting in the passenger seat will be affected.

During long driving and vehicle in motion couple of times i have observed passenger air bag light going on and off. during driving on 8/19/2016 from connecticut to pennsylvania i have observed the issue and taken photo for evidence and attached herewith.

Good evening, and to whom it may concern, i've been trying to correct the air bag recall since august 2016. i've contacted and visited the following dealership three times since i was notified of this recall: bryan honda 4104 raeford rd. fayetteville, nc 28304 every time i visited the dealership, i was unable to get my vehicle serviced. the first time, the excuse from the dealership was that they didn't have the necessary parts and that i would have to come back after they received it. the second time, the excuse was that they didn't know they were supposed to order the part, so the part didn't get there. the third time, the excuse was that they never got the appointment or the notification to order parts, and they never performed the repair. i don't know what the laws are regarding recall actions, but aren't dealerships required to perform the repairs so that the vehicles are safe to operate? the only reason i haven't been able to continue to try to get this issue resolved is because i'm in the army and was deployed to a combat zone, and couldn't get my car serviced. now that i'm back state side, i would really like this repair to happen, but the manufacturer is not cooperating. i've also called the corporate office, but haven't had any luck in scheduling an appointment. i need to ship my car to hawaii, because i am on assignment to that state. i can't ship my car until all open recalls are resolved on my vehicle, but i can't get it done. if there is anything you can do to help me, it would be very much appreciated. thank you for your time.

My car horn to honk is not working. i replaced the fuse and it won't work. this is very dangerous!! i can't warn cars that are about to crash into me that i'm there. i can't prevent accidents without honking. some cars don't see me in there blind spots. i feel like if someone crashes into me honda will be part at fault bc the horn doesn't work. i received a recall letter from honda saying the air bags are being recalled. i think the horn situation should be investigated bc the horn and the airbag are located in the same place. my horn malfunction before but it had gotten fixed by itself.

Takata recall i received a notice in the mail at the end of july stating that i have a recall on my airbag and that it is unsafe to have someone in the passenger seat. i contacted my local honda deal and put myself on the waiting list and was told it would take up to six weeks. i thought that was somewhat unreasonable since it's deemed unsafe to have anyone in the passenger seat until the repair is made. six weeks came and went so i called my local honda dealer and they told me that there was nothing they could do. it has now been three months. i understand they don't have the part, but it's completely unreasonable that this much time has gone by and it's not safe to have a passenger in the front seat.

Honda has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicles safefty exists in certain 2006 2011 model year vehicles the propellant wafers in some of the subject inflators may degrade over time, which could lead to over aggressive combustion in the event the air bag is activated. overly aggressive combustion creates excessive internal pressure when the inflator is activated, which may cause the inflator body to rupture. in the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the air bag cushion material possibly causing injury to vehicle occupant. this is important safety recall i take mi honda at dealer direct auto plaza on 7/26/16 and never recive notice regarding fix the problem only they say you need to wait today is 9/27/16 is very important honda automobile division take responsability for this defect

Takata recall. got notification last week that my car was recalled for passenger airbag possibly exploding. called dealer. dealer said they don't have parts. haven't had parts "for months" and don't even know for sure if they'll get parts when honda says they will in two months. can explode at any time, even when not in crash. this is really unacceptable. so i'm not allowed to carry passengers until god knows when? you need to get on honda and fine them until they make this right for everyone. stalling and delaying on such serious repairs is not safe for anyone. it is ridiculous how long they are dragging this out when they knew the parts were defective almost from the beginning and continued to use them. they need to be held accountable.

I received a recall latter on friday july 22, 2016. i called america honda for repair, but i was told no parts available at the moment and to call honda dealer for service, on monday july 24, 2016 i called honda dealer for service on the recall airbag, but they told me no parts available at this moment. also they told me not have a passenger in the car. because if in an incident and the airbag deploy they're not responsible for any damaged or injuries. i have not used my 2010 honda civic since july 24, 2010 due to unsafe reason and danger for my family. i still owe for my 2010 honda civic and don't understand why america honda doesn't hurry up and repair the defected airbags (takata recall). i use my 2010 honda civic to take my family to school, park, store, doctors appointments, dental appointments, and visit families, and not to mention my work. this repair delay causing me stress, problem getting to work and places'. my wife and i stop attending cerritos college due to takata recall, because it's unsafe and dangerous for my family to use the passenger seat. my family should not pay the price for any defected parts or malfunction safety equipment. on top of that, why should i pay my 2010 honda civic monthly payment if i'm not using the vehicle, due to honda unsafe and dangerous safety equipment ( takata recall).

I received a letter in the mail from honda that there is a recall on honda civics years 2006-2011. i researched the recall and it turns out its for the passenger's air bag. i reached out to the closest honda dealer to me and they said they have to order the part because they didn't have it in store and they would get back to me. i gave them all my information and i reached out to them on july 22, 2016 and it now been over a month and i still have not received a call back from them. therefore i'm filing this complaint. please at your convenience reach back out to me. thank you. *tr

Takata recall my car is covered under the recall, i was recently involved in a hit and run and my airbag sensors were tripped as well as my seatbelt's

Takata recall. i'm afraid to drive my car. honda promised to make it safe again more than 6-months ago and they still have not. in the meantime i can't even drive my car without extreme anxiety about my air bags killing me or my wife.

Takata recall i received a letter on july from honda saying that the air bags recall had been extended to include my car's passenger side air bag. they joyfully say that they will not have a replacement part until september or october, so they ask me in the meantime to avoid taking any passenger in my car. are these guys high? if having this defective air bags is worse and more dangerous than not having one, what about have them (honda) either deactivate or remove this faulty piece of equipment and let me use my car as i please and take all the passengers that i want without having them killed by their mistakes?
