Went to honda dealer this week. asked if there were any recalls since having problems with visors. honda service rep said none. found your website mentioning recall with air bags that didn't know about, also complaints (not recall) with visors. both sun visors have separated at seams, same problem as my 2006 civic. unfortunately by the time i heard about recall i had traded my car in. but it's the same problem, the visor will not stay up and this is a safety hazard. the honda service rep said no recalls. honda dealer wants me to pay $63 plus tax for a new driver visor (forget replacing passenger visor). it should be recalled since it's the same problem as the past civic models. now need to pursue them on air bag recall since i wasn't aware of this and he said there were no recalls when at honda dealer this week. *tr

Defective sun visor recall this complaint involves the recall of the driver's side sun visor in 2009 and good for 7 years from that date. i had one visor, split apart at the top seam, replaced. the second visor not only split at the seam but came loose at the hinge and flew past my face while i was driving in april 2016. i had an appointment within the 7-year period but because i misread the warranty i kept putting off the replacement until after it expired. however, when i took my car to culver city honda, service manager rue ayala told me honda selected a 7-year window in order to replace the defective visors with defective visors to get rid of them. he said customers had come in as many as "three, four and five times for replacement visors." he offered me a discount, which i refused. why should my recalled part be as defective as the first one? the car should have come with a new and working part: that's what i paid for. my fear is the latest recall, the passenger side ...

Sun visor fell down on drivers side scaring driver & could have caused accident. now the visor will not stay up & blocks visibility. this is a know prior defect & it appears they are still using the same parts. why hasn't this been addressed. is another class action suit needed to call honda on this? it's a safety hazard. *tr
