We have classified the 211 complaints from 2014 Honda Accord about ELECTRICAL SYSTEM into the following categories.
I've had this for for 2 years now and all of a sudden there are times my car won't start on the 1st key turn. all the lights come on and the battery is still running good. i've had the battery tested 3 times. the vehicle is stationary. i put my key in turn it lights come on it clicks i turn it back turn and the same thing happens. usually on the the third try it the engine comes on powerful. this happens at least 3 times a week. i read on other forums and a lot of ownwers of the same car are having the exact same issue. they took theirs to the dealer and they had to get their starter replaced. we are wondering how a car this new can already have starter issues? this should not happen when cars are under 100k in miles. honda needs to have a recall on their poorly made starter. the owners should not have to replace the starter already.
Problem: seems to be with ignition. while car is stationary, the vehicle fails at the initial turn of the key for ignition. failure of ignition may happen 2-3 times before car will run. not only has this now happened more than half a dozen times, but we are also seeing larger number of tries before the vehicle will start. (example: first several occurrences the car would start after 1-2 tries. now it is more common to take 2-3 tries before ignition.) this could cause any of us to be stranded unexpectantly...especially concerned if this happens on a trip away from home, &/or to wife or daughter alone. we heard other years of same honda accord is having this problem. so we were surprised not to see our make and model listed for recall.
Takata recall.... car won't start. connection to battery loose. i tried to start it again but mid-ignition .... loud sound and now nothing
The vehicle does not always start when you pressed the start button and only clicks. this can be dangerous if the car stalls in a busy intersection or rail road crossing and the vehicle cannot be started. to start the vehicle (keyless w/fob), you have to press the brake and press the start button. it appears that the brake pedal pressure and the starting of the car may be part of the issue as we have noticed that the car will more likely start when the brake pedal is soft vs. hard. not sure if the issue is isolated to the start button, brake master cylinder, both or the electronics that interacts when these two. any assistance that you may provide with this issue is appreciated. thank you
On some occasions the keyless start button does not activate the starter. it may take several attempts to work or won't at all. sometimes i leave for a time and when i try again it works normally. i've had many cars and this issue is deffinetly a manufacturer defect. honda dealer replaced starter under warranty and indicated that they knew it was an issue. i think it is a safety issue. i needed to pick up my wife at the hospital and could not get car started. i do have another car so it all worked out but if i didn't it would have been a bad event. i know this issue is all over the internet especially youtube. honda doing nothing about it publicly. otherwise it's a great car
I only have 29,600+ miles on my 2014 honda accord with trouble starting car engine. sometimes it takes 2 to 3 times before engine starts. i brought to my honda dealer and they told me that i am looking at a $700+ bill to replace the defective starter. i see that other owners have the same problem!
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 honda accord. while the contact was attempting to start the vehicle, it made a grinding sound and failed to start. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the vehicle was not included in a recall. the dealer was not notified. the failure mileage was 54,000. the vin was not available.
The steering wheel froze up on me at start up. i turned it off and it worked correctly until the next time. after the third time i read about similar problems others were having and knew that it could freeze up while i was driving so i took it to my dealer march 19 2018. honda doesn't want to talk to me about it. i will fix it and hope for a recall. it will cost me at least $700. *tr
The ignition switch took forever to start engine. i had to have the starter changed and paid vandergriff honda dealer $600+. i believe it has something to do with the battery sensor that affects also the alternator.
Vehicle will not start at times and there is a clicking sound. in the beginning, it happened maybe twice a month and it would start after a few seconds. it has gotten worse and it's an everyday occurrence, several times a day. one day it would not start at all. i left it for approximately an hour and when i later tried to start it, it started with no hesitation. it is not the battery, because i replaced the battery thinking that was the problem. everything else in the car works even when the car won't start.
Vehicle will not start upon initially pushing the ignition . changed batteries in the remotes yet the problem persists. vehicle only starts after several attempts. instead of pushing to start have been pushing and holding to start. problem becoming more and more frequent. started 03/11/18 and continued on.
Our 2014 honda accord (purchased "certified pre-owned") has an intermittent issue. first of all the car has 53,000 miles. have already had to replace the battery; since replacing the battery, a myriad of lights come and go on the dash for approximately 1 month. now the lights are staying on - brake, abs, fcw, ldw, steering assist. dealer says "probably" the abs module ($1400). launched a complaint about this issue with honda america - they tell me to take it in and have it checked. my question(s) were (a) by spending $1400, is this going to fix it or will it "probably" fix it. (b) how long before it happens again?- keep in mind the first one lasted 53,000 miles (c) how dangerous is this? no answers to any of these questions were answered; the only thing that was clear was that it wasn't a widespread issue because the nhsta or honda hadn't issued any kind of tsb or recall. i thought it was somewhat telling when i called another dealership, spoke with the desk person in service. while over the phone, explained the lights that were on - the answer of "it's the abs module" was instant. for something that isn't "common" or widespread, this was a very quick reply. also a google search turns up other issues just like the one we are having. just wonder how safe this is?
Nothing happen to the car. just one day start car and the car fcw and ldw system failed then all the other lights stay on also.we had to replace modulator part# 57110-t2f-l12. we were 23,000 miles over warranty. we did not even pay car off yet. i had to paid $2,000 to replace. never had any other problems. just felt very in unsafe with the system that suppose to make me feel safe kept say it has failed.
Ref prior complaints 11048722, 11035177, 11003743... on 1/9/18, a new remanufactured starter purchased from honda, was installed in this vehicle. mileage was 64740. today, 2/22/18, the grinding noise occurred on one start attempt - this is the first issue with the new starter - milegae is 65880. so, in just over 1100 miles, 1 1/2 mo, and an average of maybe 40 to 50 starts/week, the problem is resurfacing. i had this vehicle at honda to complete a prior recall - on 12/13/17 and it did not start there. service manager made excuse about the replacement starter not being from honda... well - this one is... something in the system somewhere is causing this issue. while it manifests as a mechanical grinding, clicking noise, it is an electrical failure in the system as has been noted before, and it is very random... how am i going to be able to re-sell a vehicle with such a problem - a honda design flaw has caused considerable damage to the car's value, not to mention expenses and time lost. see old/new starter pix... please keep the investigation moving forward - i have suffered a loss, as have many others!!
Starting in dec. 2017 the engine starter would not start the car at times. problem continued to occur so i took the car to the honda service dealership and had to have a new engine starter put in. multiple complaints online with 2013-2014 honda accord engine starter failing just out of the honda mileage/year warranty, yet honda does not chose to fix the problem with a recall for this part.
Stationary. push button start making a grinding noise and numerous attempts for vehicle to start.
'takata recall' recently i purchased a 2014 honda accord from a dealership which made this my first car ever. everything was going right up until 3 months of me having the car. my brakes went out without me knowing because someone from that dealership broke off the little chip that makes the squeaking noise. i took it to the dealer to explain to them what had happen showing them the evidence and they made it seem like i was lying while driving on hwy 16 i ended up having a blowout on the passenger side of my car and messed my front fender up. two(2)months after that in march i purchased a brand new battery because the battery that came with the car had died out. prior to that i never knew the alternative was the reason for the battery to constantly die out. on march 15 2018 i went back to the dealership to let them know and even inspect my car when one of the manager came to talk to me he said there was absolutely nothing they could do because my warranty was only 30days. now not knowing anything about a warranty how am i suppose to know or knew all of these problems were going to happen. when i asked about a manufacturer warranty i was told i didn't have one and they were not going to help me with my car. may 10 2018 my friend found out she had a recall on her starter and went and got another one. now when i locked up the honda recalls i seen there were two: one for the battery and the second was for the starter. i contacted the dealership again leaving voicemails after voicemail until i couldn't take it anymore and just went up there. as i walk in i asked to speak to the person who was in a hire position. as we are talking he ask me how long i had the car, how many miles, and the question of all when is your warranty expired. after he found out the warranty was expired there was nothing he could do for me. i pay 400 and haven't had the car for a year yet.
Car won't start
Vehicle was parked in aparking lot as i had to do a quick errand at costco. car was turned off with fan running. my wife stayed back in the car. after i came back after about 15-20 mins, the trunk wont open and all dashboard lights in car were off. car wont start at all. i tried starting for few mins without fail. luckily i could jump start the car using the jump start kit in costco tire centre. i took in the car to dealer as this had happened before and battery had to be replaced. this time around everything was ok. dealer advised me to not run the accesories without car engine running. dealer mentioned that in order to keep car weight low, manufacturers are switching to smaller and smaller batteries. this is a safety issue as the occupants are at physical risk if this happens in the a desolate place or car could be unavailable in an emergency situation. mitigations expected are (1) car computers should detect battery drain and automatically shut off to allow for car to start, (2) have a secondary battery backup just for these situations, (3) there is should be option to switch to a bigger battery.
I noticed when my car is running(stationary) with heat on and headlights on after couple of minutes it makes a click noice which affects the lights(headlights). when car is moving (in motion) all of a sudden lights become super dim as if they are barely any lights. some days lights work as if they are brand new and covers the entire street.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 honda accord. the contact stated that the vehicle stalled several times without warning. the vehicle had to be recharged more than once to start. in addition, there was moisture and corrosion building up near the battery caps. the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 17v418000 (electrical system). the dealer (planet honda, 2285 route 22 west, union, nj 07083, (908) 964-1600) stated that they provided the remedy for the recall and the failure was not related to the battery. the manufacturer was notified. the failure mileage was not available. parts distribution disconnect.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 honda accord. the contact stated that the starter on the vehicle was defective and prevented the vehicle from starting. there were no warning indicators illuminated before or after the failure. the vehicle was taken to matt castrucci honda (3013 mall park dr, dayton, oh) where it was diagnosed that the starter motor failed. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vin was unknown. the approximate failure mileage was 33,000.
This is 3rd complaint! see prior complaints - 11003743 and 11035177. as noted before, mileage (when problem started) in 2nd complaint more accurate. original starter replaced at just under 60k miles. mileage now at 63730. car failed to start no matter what!!! on 11/22/17, tried jump starting, p or n, put car in r and rolled back a foot, then p or n - nothing. pushed button - no noise... no clicking, grinding... tried for over 30 minutes... battery good, remote good, connections good, dash lights all appear normal. towed to mechanic - replaced starter again. he started it 20+ times - seemed ok, moved it to his parking area. on 11/25 i picked it up - went to start it - got grinding noise - heard by mechanic. started 3rd time. has done this - either grinding or spinning noise 3 times already today(11/25) - even after i got home, while trying 'dead remote' key starting procedure... would make noises, then start 2nd or 3rd time. this is very serious! please push the investigation! honda should reimburse for costs associated with this and come up with a fix. i think if one examines the changes they have made to this vehicle after 2015, one can see that they knew of a problem and took steps to fix it. just have to take care of us who are 'stuck'. resale value will plummet on these cars! call me!! take the car to investigate - anything!! note - replacement starter is a bendix aftermarket with lifetime warranty - this is not a starter problem - it is a design flaw causing starter problems and/or causing no/low/improper voltage or current to be applied to the starter.
My 2014 accord ex sedan is on recall notice and i am having a final repair on the battery management senor next week. for several weeks i am experiencing an electrical problem intermittently trying to start my car. when i push the start button with my foot on the brake pedal sometimes the care does not start. i have had the car since nov. 2013 and have only had this problem for the past few weeks. all symbols on the instrument panel light up and quickly go off and i get a notice on the instrument panel "power is on": when i push the button again 1-3 times, the car starts. i have not experienced problems with stalling or cutting off while in motion. my battery is only 2 yr. old. and it was just checked last month and the charge was ok. clearly there is a short affecting ignition of the ignition of the engine. the problem i have described has so far only occurred when the car is stationary. i only have 42,000 miles on the car and so this should not be happening and is quite disturbing; it can become a major safety problem. i know that nhtsa has issued honda electrical system campaigns f/ recall notices for other honda vehicles with the same problem, but yet for my 2014 sedan. it needs to be included. from reviewing the nhtsa complaint database it is clear this is a known problem by nhtsa and honda and needs to be dealt with. i am requesting that this complaint be expeditiously investigated and the problem for my car and is recognized as a systemic problem for multiple honda products for many years and honda figure out a permanent solution. i am requesting that honda covers the cost of parts/labor to fix even though i am past the regular warranty period (except i am still within the power train warranty ) this week (november 13 to 11/17) problem occurred 4 times.
Tl-contact owns a 2014 honda accord..... inquired about general recall letter from honda...honda charged contact for new battery... after contact had a letter recalling the battery. honda stated due to warranty expiration they would have to charge her for a new battery. contact stated she had battery recall fixed in november had letter from honda prior to being fixed.. contact stated after paying for new battery she called honda manufacturer and honda had stated they would not reimburse her due to vehicle having no warranty...contact filed a complaint..... ..... 0 recalls associated with this vin
So, yesterday i found myself faced with a dead battery after parking in a parking lot and going into a store for 10 minutes, and called aaa of southern california. they dispatched roy's towing who arrived withing about 20 minutes of the initial call. ian, the service tech, checked the battery and found it only had 18 cold cranking amps, (it is supposed to be around 500) i was taken aback, as the car is not that old and very low mileage. he went one step further and checked the electrical system and it's charging capacity, which turned out to be just fine. the car is just over 3 years old and had only 27,414 miles on it. i recently was in to have a battery sensor replaced due to a possible short, but the dealer just spread some sealer on it. could this be the problem? we have already had to replace the starter motor assembly and the alternator, this at 16, 212 miles.. now that we are out of warranty, the battery, installation, etc. cost $123.00 total. i have checked the internet and have found many complaints of this nature with starter, alternator and failing batteries at low mileage for the 2014 honda accord. a wide spread problem?
I want this piece of💩 fixed once and for all, i will never buy another honda again, i will also pass the word honda is absolute garbage, if you know what's good for you better reply very quickly, or it won't be pretty, bunch of morons!
I received a notice for nhtsa recall 17v-418 in august 2017. i have made several attempts to get this issue resolved with the local dealership. it's currently november and i am still unable to get this matter resolved.
Update to prior - vehicle starter was replaced with new aftermarket unit, problem resumed after a few weeks. pushing start button exhibiting numerously reported problems and several attempts required to get it to start. had the battery sensor recall item honda # kho (the inspection and re-sealing) done on 10/18/17 - that night it had the same starting issue... no link with the sensor (at least the 'band-aid' fix). i then checked and tightened the nuts at both ends of the battery ground-to-chassis cable - we'll see if that helps - there was no sign of corrosion, but the nut did turn about 1/2 turn at the chassis side... now have 62600 miles on vehicle and this problem has been going on since about 39k... we really need a good solid fix - and if it really is a starter placement issue, need a solution! and honda needs to reimburse everyone for costs to date!
This dispute related to 2014 honda accord safety recall 17v-418. because of the defective design and manufacturing, moisture is entering into the battery system and causing serious damage to the battery system which is the source of above recall. a month before receiving the recall notice, my call stalled at a gas station on october 12, 2017 and the car had to be towed to the dealer. dealer discovered that severe corrosion damaged the battery positive cable and the cable broke off. the total cost to replace the cable and battery was $735.52. based on the description of the recall 17v-418, the issue we experienced is related. due to the design flaw, the moisture is damaging various components of the battery system. i filed a claim (case # 06489520) with honda for reimbursement but my request has been denied. this happened a few months after the 3rd anniversary of the purchase. the source of the issue is that moisture entering the battery system and the honda should take the responsibility and reimburse the cost of repair. the total cost of the repair is $735.52 + $65 (towing) = $800.52.
When i turn the key to start car nothing happens ( no warning lights nothing blank) then after 2 or 3 attempts car starts
My car kept shutting down.i had to keep jumping it every time i started it. i took it to shop and they made me pay $130 for new battery. i feel it was related to battery recall and i shouldnt have had to pay. but they said there was a bad cell in it and it wasnt related to the recall
Honda starter replaced under 36k miles but out of warranty by timeframe. honda refuses t reimburse for the replacement starter eventhough they were notified before the vehicle reached 36k miles. the 2014 honda accord v6 had the same issue and a service bulletin was issued where the starter was replaced (https://www.cars.com/articles/2013-2015-honda-accord-crosstour-starter-issue-1420684480836/ ) this seems to be an ongoing issue for vehicles that are not within this service bulletin but honda will not repair doesn't seem fair to the consumer that they are aware of this problem and leave us to fight to try to get them to do whats right. this will be my last honda.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 honda accord. the contact stated that the vehicle failed to start and all the warning indicators illuminated and went off. the failure recurred several times. the vehicle was taken to the dealer (honda world in west minster, ca, 714- 890-8900) where it was diagnosed that the starter needed to be replaced. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17v418000 (electrical system). the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was approximately 28,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 honda accord. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17v418000 (electrical system). the part for the recall repair was unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. when starting the vehicle, the battery had to be charged before the vehicle would start. the driver's side fog light also suddenly failed. while driving approximately 80 mph, the contact noticed a burning odor inside the vehicle. the contact parked and turned off the vehicle. when attempting to restart the vehicle, it failed to start. the contact had the vehicle towed to bozman honda (located at 8450 huffine lane, bozeman, mt, 59718; 406-587-0761) and informed the contact that the part for the remedy was not available. the manufacturer was not notified. the approximate failure mileage was 40,974. vin tool confirms parts not available.
The battery dies intermittently for no reason. i had them temporary fix done in july of 2017. i didn't have any problems with the battery until this week. i have had the battery die twice this week. the car starts fine some days and others it won't. i called honda and they told me the recall had nothing to do with the battery staying charged.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 honda accord. while operating the vehicle, the charging error message displayed. in addition, the horn failed to operate. the cause of the failure was not determined. the manufacturer and dealer (new century honda of glendale, california) were notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 11,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 honda accord. when the contact attempted to drive the vehicle, it failed to start and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. in addition, when checking under the hood, the contact noticed a white substance coming from the battery. the vehicle was taken to hinshaw's honda (located at 2605 auburn way n, auburn, wa 98002) where it was diagnosed that an aftermarket battery cable connection failed and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired. the vin was included in nhtsa campaign number: 17v418000 (electrical system). the manufacturer was not contacted. the approximate failure mileage was 60,789.
Went to start car. would not start on first try. tried again and put car in reverse to back out of garage. put car in park and noticed the dashboard lit up like a christmas tree. fcw failed, ldw, air bag, check engine, power steering abs & tire pressure warning lights all came on! turned car off & started calling to make appt with dealership. the dealer we bought car from had a response of "next available appt is tuesday". when i tried to tell her what was wrong she repeated "next available appt is tuesday" click. okay, since i paid for a 7 year extended warranty i called a different dealer. millennium honda had an appt for 1:00pm. i immediately brought it in. waited for over 4 hours before asking about my car. "oh, we haven't gotten to your car yet. but it should be going on the lift pretty soon." it was after 5:00pm when i was informed that they wouldn't be able to get to my car on thursday. i asked for a loaner car & decided that it was better that it be seen first thing next morning. friday morning comes & goes & i don't hear from them so i drive over there. they hadn't even put my car on the lift to check it yet! when asked why i was told i was next. okay, they put my car on the lift & check it out; take it for a test drive; bring it back. service manager "russ" comes over to me and says that the car isn't going anywhere. there was a problem with the engine harness system. he tells me that it's due to corrosion. i ask how long will it take to fix? he then tells me that the engine harness is not covered under my extended warranty. are you kidding me???? he then says that it would cost $2800 to fix & they have to order the part! i feel as though my car is being held for ransom. this car has only 12k miles & is only a little over 3 years old. my car is involved in a battery sensor recall. could that be the problem or is it common practice to price gouge?
I got a letter in aug 2017 about a "important safety recall" and since then the coggin honda dealership of orlando has given me nothing but the run around. they answer my calls and say someone will get back to me, but that never happens tried to reach the manager twice but he could not be reach the salesperson no longer there. if my honda has an important safety recall i am being led to believe this dealership could care less. we bought a honda because we felt it was a trusted name and imagine we will not go very far or use it much until the safety issue resolved. please help us with this problem or least guide us in what to do next.

Body: the tension bar does not open the car trunk lid all the way which more often drops down and hit the person's head or face who is putting stuffs in the trunk assuming it is fully open all the way. i did got hit twice by the corner and edge of the trunk lid on the forehead and left temple. the latter caused bruise and pain that took me a week to recover. should change weak tension bar to strong gas tube operation. engine: the car vibrates and rattles upon putting on reverse gear even after at least a minute warmup in the morning. the dealer said it is normal for this type of car? this is very embarrassing for a newer car. i never see this in a toyota cars that i owned: sienna, avalon... seats: driver seat is not well designed and causing awkward and uncomfortable and fatigue position while driving. there is insufficiency of support for lumbar are ( the current one is too soft and sitting back so there is virtually no support at all). again toyota cars seem not having this kind of problem. also, the driver window is not tall enough that even a 5'6" person can bang his head to the top of the window when getting up and out of the drive seat. it should be 2" taller to avoid this problem. they should put cushion to the top edge and safety grip handle at the minimum. driving condition: the car seems to wander when running on freeway at normal speed.
Getting into my stationary vehicle, regardless of location of the car, at any time of the day whether the first time that day, or subsequent time: i engage the brake pedal and push the "start" button. instead of the engine turning over, i only get the dash lights and radio. i turn the vehicle off, wait a few seconds then engage the brake and push the "start" button again. this goes on a few times to several times and seems to be very random. when i first began having this issue, i took the car into honda and they could not figure out what i was talking about, because they weren't having the issue (so they said...). they suggested that i needed to replace the starter, battery, and alternator. i paid a grip of cash to fix these issues, and the car became worse. i will be taking the car to a private mechanic that i trust and i will show him the countless posts that others have posted about this issue, so i can feel confident that the issue will actually be fixed. then i will sell this car as quickly as possible and never buy a honda made car again.
My honda accord has had starter issues beginning around 36,000 miles. it has left me stranded at work and at the gas station. it conveniently begins to give out around time warranty ends. if it is a typical 100+ degree day here or a very cold day the starter will not work. i have replaced the battery twice. i have contacted honda on more than one occasion and they will only gives a small reduction in price to fix. they refuse to issue a recall stating it doesn't cause risk of life or bodily injury. i beg to differ, as a car not starting in middle of night when chance of no one being around to help, it can be life threatening. the car has even stopped working several times while on the highway in southern california during rush hour and beginning to fail while going 70 mph. after extensive research i found this to be a common issue with owners of 2012 - 2016 hondas (more than one model) and ranging between 36,000 to 55,000 miles.
Vehicle won't start on random occasions.i drive the vehicle daily, but every so often i have to jumpstart it. i had the battery checked at the service station near my home and also at the honda dealer in my city. i purchased a small jump pack to ensure i'm never stranded. this has happened numerous times, after only being away from the vehicle an hour or 2 and after i returned form a brief stay out of town.
Starter failing after only 33,000 miles, stationary, in a parking lot. unable to download repair and tow bill on this computer but do have those available.
My car has been to honda twice for the same problem. the first incident was june 20th at 5pm at whole foods in phoenix. the car would turn over then die. the next morning i took it to honda (it started and drove). i picked it up at 5pm, they stated they could find nothing wrong with the car. as i'm sitting in the car at honda the car died and wouldn't start. the next day they told me it was the starter and replaced it and i picked up the car friday june 23rd. the car was fine until sunday around 3pm at safeway on phoenix where the car would start and then die. i took an uber home and scheduled a tow. when i got back to safeway the car started and i drove it home. monday morning june 26 i took it to my local mechanic who diagnosed the fuel pump to be bad after two days. i towed it back to honda on june 28th to have the fuel pump changed under warranty. they had to order the part and i did not get my car back until july 8th. on my way to work tuesday july 11th the car died while on the freeway interchange between i10w and i17n and was forced to the side of the rode (there's barely a shoulder) and wait for a tow as the car would no start. i was towed to showcase honda where the car is now. this last incident was more than just an inconvenience it was completely unsafe. this is the third time they have had the car and i have almost no confidence they are capable of figuring out what is wrong with this car (that's under warranty) and i honestly don't feel safe driving that car any longer.
Vehicle does not start when push to start. it click couple time but did not start. it happening more often than last year and got strange last night again.
Starter or engine start button problem, at 49000 miles.
2014 honda accord. consumer writes in regards to vehicle forward collision warning system testing issues. *ld the consumer stated the forward collision warning system has no difference in the distance warning settings. the long, short, and normal distance warnings are equal to 2 car lengths. the consumer requested for nhtsa to road test the vehicle. updated 09/27/2017*js
