I am stationed in germany and have had the air bag recall fixed on my 2011 honda accord. it shows as cleared in the honda europe tracking system (pdf attached) but still shows as open in the honda usa and safecar, gov systems. i have opened a case with honda usa pdf attached but i can't seem to get the issue resolved. my main worry is i'll be returning to the us on 8 dec 17 and the shipper won't ship the vehicle if there are open recalls. filing this with you to see if there is any assistance you can provide. if additional information is needed please let me know.

Takata recall

My car was moving when it was hit by another car. i was on a city street and the other car ran a stop sign and hit me. my air bag did not deploy, but did catch on fire

Takata recall i received a recall notice dated july 2016 informing me of the recall but saying that the parts were not available. i never received a second notice that the parts were available. recently i scheduled the repair with holler honda of orlando fl. i assumed i would be given a car to drive while the repair was being done. i was told that i would not be furnished a car which meant that i would have to rent a car or pay taxi fare. since this air bag defect is not of my doing i feel that i shouldn't have to pay anything out of my pocket. am i right or wrong? i feel the recall should be totally cost free.

I took my vehicle in to serra honda of sylacauga on or around april 2017 to have my have my takata airbag inflator repaired due to a recall. since the repair, my airbag light will not go off and i have called several times to inform serra honda service personnel. serra honda personnel has informed me that the airbag indicator light being on has nothing to do with their service department and that if i brought it back, there would be a minimum of $140 charge to look at my airbag. this is unacceptable. although the airbag indicator light comes on intermittently, it is still a concern for me especially since my fiance is the primary driver of the vehicle. it has been titled to her. terra t. foster. thank you for looking into this for me.

Takata recall. nothing has happened so far thank god. but i believe sufficient time has passed since the recall notice and there is still no solution for my recall. they advice to not have anyone on the passenger side as they could potentially be harmed by this issue but how much longer am i supposed to keep this up? this is a two door car so imagine the hassle of asking people to ride in the back. this is a huge inconvenience. i don't feel safe driving on this conditions, is there anything that can be done to speed up a solution or any other alternatives. i've considered to return my car if that's what it takes. provided they pay a fair value for it since my car is already paid off. *tr

Takata recall---> i received a recall notice about my air bags about 1 month ago. my husband has called gwinnett place honda to find out about parts, where to take the car, and how to go about getting a rental. they replied that we needed to call honda automobile customer service for an authorization to get a rental. it has been 2 weeks and no one has called back. during all of this i have to drive this car to and from work with my kids. i also take several children to school along with mine so i have someone in the passenger front seat. i explained this to the customer service representative and all he could tell say that he could only put in a request for a rental. he could not tell me an estimated time to hear back from anyone or anything else i could do in the mean time. honestly i am not made of money and this is a complete inconvenience. the fact that they do not seem to be the least bit concerned is very concerning to me. i just want to know what i should do.. i don't feel comfortable driving a car with an airbag that could go off at any time. do i have to go out an rent my own car for an unspeakable amount of time... due to no one knowing when my car will be able to be serviced (they don't know when the parts will be available)

Takata recall - my vehicle has been recalled according to the email i received today from nhtsa. it says "no remedy," but the further statement indicates i should have received my second letter in the spring or fall of 2016. i have not received that letter. i did receive the 1st one, advising to to have person in passenger seat, but nothing after that.

I contacted to honda dealer near my place today regarding the recall for the airbag. they did not know when they will have the parts and refused to provide a rental car. honda told me not to allow anyone seat on the passenger side when i asked them a temporary remedy because i do not want to risk any life of my family. it did not make sense that i can not take more than 4 people including myself.
