Every single day i back out of my driveway and when i shift into drive and step on the gas the truck moves forward slightly and the rpms wind up but the truck bogs down like it's got a fuel clog then it shifts into 2nd at a high rpm and jerks forward like someone popped a clutch. this is a major safety issue because once this winter it happened and the real wheels spun and the back end slid out on the ice and the nose of my truck wound up in the oncoming lane of traffic. dealer and gmc say that a 'hard shift' is a known issue and the truck is 'working as designed' and there is nothing they will do further. i have had it in the shop 3x already. i have read forums speaking of many people having similar issue with 2019 gmc trucks and no fix from gmc. this is not normal, safe and i'm sure no engineer designed this transmission to work this way.

The transmission shifts hard from reverse to drive. also from 1st to 2nd when accelerating and from 2nd to 1st when decelerating. the jerk from the hard shift feels like the vehicle has just been rear ended by another vehicle and his led me hitting objects with the vehicle numerous times. this has been going on since i purchased the truck in august of 2019 and has continued. i've taken the vehicle to the dealer who has explicitly stated that the protocol is to notate the issue only. no investigation beyond that has or will be performed.

Vehicle with 8-speed transmission bucks or lurches when shifting up or down from first to second gear. sometimes it feels like it is in a collision when this occurs. dealer referred to bulletin #4605342 and said this was normal.

Tl* the contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. while attempting to accelerate at highway speeds above 50 mph, the speed would not immediately increase and the vehicle drastically hesitated to accelerate. the failure occurred in sixth, seventh, and eighth gears. the vehicle was taken to ancira gmc (30500 i-10 w, boerne, tx) where the failure was duplicated. the contact was informed that the vehicle was operating normally. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 1,800.

Recently purchased a 2019 gmc sierra and it shifts hard at lower speeds or when moving from a stopped position and then accelerating, or when decelerating. while parking the car at one point the shift was so hard that it felt like a hit, and then the kids confusedly asking "what was that?". gm is giving us the runaround and unwilling to fix what i have now found out, has been a known problem. they based everything out of what the modules report when the car is hooked up to the computer. basically, if the modules are ok then the car is reportedly ok. not the case.

Transmission jerks into gear when slowing down. when speeding up truck will jerk. service manager said it was normal. truck feels like it the rear end falls out when stopping.
