I was driving on the interstate and a message stating "service stabilitrack" message appears simultaneously with the check engine light and service traction control, the car loses the ability to accelerate and maintain speed. i kept driving because there was no safe place to stop, and after a few miles the door locks unlocked then locked, the info screen flashed and then the engine revved and appeared to drive normally. several miles later it happened again, over and over. when i reached my nieghborhood the car completely powered off.

I purchased my vehicle brand new in order to avoid unexpected expenses that one sometimes inquire when we purchase a used vehicle. however, the truck has given me nothing but mechanical issues i've head engine power loss problems, have gone through two air conditioner major issues, radiator gone bad, transmission go out and the most recent my roof started to leak. as i did more research i came to discover that i am not the only customer in this predicament there are several others. i'm reaching out to for assistance in regards to these matters, something has to be done gmc has to take responsibility for faulty vehicles if that's is the case. they only give the go around to customers like myself that on top of having a car payment we have to somehow pay high mechanical bills for issues that should not be accruing to new vehicles.
My 2014 gmc sierra pressure control solenoid went bad. took it to knight automotive, inc., in plattsburgh, ny for repair. after repair i drove home only to be told by bill delord gmc in lebanon, oh - and boercherding gmc in cincinnati, that the entire transmission was destroyed. knight put my family at risk by improperly repairing my vehicle.

Takata recall, the automatic locks keeps locking and unlocking on their own, whether it's parked or driving. takata recall, the transmission shutters and rough shifting when slowing down or taking off, however the worst seems to be when slowing down
While slowing down at traffic truck felt like it was super heavy and kept going, brake pedal got hard and could not press down. ac went out on me twice do to bad compressor and had to repair at dealer. transmission knocks when slowing down and hard shifts like its going to break. also visibility is poor on vehicle when driving at night as the light are very dim. had to buy alternate lights but still dim.

I temporarily had no control over the vehicle causing me to have an accident. while driving down a residential street approaching a stop sign intersection i merged into the center of st to pass a trashcan and in the process of returning to my correct position on the road i suddenly had no steering. panicking from the loss i pressed my brakes an attempt to bring vehicle to a stop but was unsuccessful because the tires began a slide once noticing the traction loss i proceeded to release brakes and reapply in hopes of gaining traction the brief relief from brakes caused the vehicle to regain traction and while i still have no control over steering, the vehicle jerks towards the right side of the road and the brakes being reapplied the vehicle continues to slide off pavement making contact with stop sign and telephone pole.
Intermittently, when applying the brakes to stop for a red light, the engine wants to keep the vehicle going at the same speed and fights the brake so the vehicle cannot stop. shifting the gear shift into neutral allows the brakes to work but the engine rpm revs up to 2500 rpm for about 15 seconds before dropping to idle. if the driver didn't apply the brakes hard enough or shift into neutral, the vehicle would overpower the brakes and drive into anything ahead. analogy: it acts as if the cruise control was on (and it's not) and tried to keep the same forward speed no matter the brake application. dealer cannot reproduce the problem, no alert warning light. some times, going at highway speed, taking foot off accelerator and expecting vehicle to start slowing down, it stays at same speed for about 15 seconds before dropping rpms. this has been happening, intermittently, for a few months.
The traction control is not working. on wet pavement it spins sideways out of control. definitely a safety issue acknowledged by the dealer but after 5 straight weeks of working on the problem, gm says it's normal. this will get someone killed.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 gmc sierra 1500. while the vehicle was in the park position, the four wheel drive service light illuminated without warning. the contact was unable to disable the four wheel drive. the vehicle was taken to be diagnosed by a dealer, but the issue recurred. the manufacturer was made aware of the issue. the vin was unknown. the failure mileage was 20,000.
I have taken my truck into the dealer 3 times for clunking during shifting and losing power between 30-45 mph when attempting to accelerate in traffic. i have been told by the dealer that gmc says this is normal for my truck. it is not normal for these problems. i have researched this issue on the internet and it has been identified as a problem with the active fuel management system controlled by the computer module to achieve expected gas mileage demanded by the government. i paid $42,000 dollars for this truck brand new. i shouldn't be having this occur. i owned a 1995 gmc extended cab that is still on the road with 215,000 miles. this truck has only 23,000 miles after 2 years of ownership.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 gmc sierra 1500. while slowing down at a stop sign at 12 mph, the vehicle independently shifted to a lower gear and made a clunking sound. the failure recurred multiple times. the vehicle was taken to a dealer, but no failures were found. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the issue. the approximate failure mileage was 25,000.
The part broke in half at low speed while i was driving in a construction area (my own driveway being installed) i hit something and the metal casing of the axle where it attaches to the front diff. broke in half. i am 60 years old my wife was in the truck i was going so slow the speedometer was on 0. the dealer said the part was cracked by the impact. this is supposed to be a heavy duty 4x4 p/u, if i was going at 40 mph off road what would have broke and what would have been the result? i think the metal of the casing was flawed and i am afraid to keep the truck. the dealer said this isn't a warranty issue i had to put a claim into my ins. this is not only a concern for safety but for finances as well. i paid $44,000. cash for this truck, it is the sierra slt not only a 4x4 but it has 20" rims for added height. this was not hit hard enough to crack a steel casing. the truck is at a gmc/buick dealer in mount dora fl. they said it might take awhile to find the parts to fix it. i do not think gmc makes cheap trucks or dangerous trucks but i think after this gets fixed i will be looking into trading it. *tr
Heads lights are so dim i cant drive the truck at night also the is a bad vibrations coming from the rear end.
For over 45k miles i have complained off a vibration coming from the rear of my gmc sierra at 65 to 75 miles per hour. my supporting dealer that i purchased it from can't find the problem and is most likely out of business.this is an ongoing issue. recently i went under the truck to find the entire frame is rusted from the gas tank back to the rear off the vehicle around the spare tire and elsewhere. whats wrong with gm manufacturing, are they that cheap, that no paint is place on the frame. additionally the chrome wheels that came with the vehicle are corroding yet another cheap process that gm refuses to address. mind you i have always fixed and repaired my own vehicles. i have washed this vehicle so much by using a cold water hose under the vehicle and the top as well to get the salt and brine used by the northern states off the car and yet i still get the corrosion. how do i get gm. to fix the wrongs they have produced.
