I have a crack on dashboard along the instrument panel side and at the passenger side airbag. i'm worried about the safety of the airbag deployment.
I was driving and started to hear a knocking sound. message center said low oil, so i added more oil over the weekend until i could get it into the shop. monday morning on my way to work i heard something shoot through something under the hood and the truck went dead. there was a pool of oil under the truck and metal shavings were found in my oil pan.
Dash cracked by passenger airbag and driver side as well.
Inside door handle plastic chrome is peeling up causing a very sharp razor edge that sliced my fingertip
Gm dash my dash board has several cracks in all the common places and concerns my passengers safety since there are cracks around the passenger airbag.
The dash board of my vehicle has cracks in it. more and more cracks are beginning to develop over the airbag. i am worried about the airbag deploying with sharp plastic pieces pointing at it. i think this is a hazard to all drivers. every gm truck/tahoe from 2007-2013 (that i have seen) have these ugly and dangerous cracks in them.
Cracked dash over airbag and steering column. upper glove box is protruding out from dash warping.

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 gmc sierra 1500. after purchasing the vehicle, the contact began experiencing a drastic vibration. a defect was discovered; however, there is no remedy available. the dealer replaced the powertrain, wheel, wheel rotation, and driver assembly, but the failure still persists. general motors has yet to offer a response as to how they can assist. the failure and current mileages were 1,600. updated 03/04/08. *lj
