Takata recall - no ford dealers in my area have any replacement air bags since my calls starting in 8-22-17 and today. when they get them in, i was told ford will mail me a letter to bring my ford ranger xlt in to get it installed. i don't want to miss out on this free replacement.

Takata recall they have not fixed passanger air bag in timely manner . it has been over a year and recall incomplete and not yet available. dealers will not make an appointment for vehicle. we live in houston a hot humid area, the vehicle is older,both putting passenger at higher risk.

Takata recall it has been 1 1/2 years since i received notice that my drivers side air bag needs to be replaced. no action to date. for a year and one-half i have been the only one (the driver) who can ride in my truck. we can not us this truck for anything that involves to people and i hear nothing for the dealer or ford motor co. i can't sell it knowing that someone would have to do through what i am going on. it like my problem has gone to "never, never, land". the problem is in motion on city or highway.

Takata recall i have a 2011 ford ranger , and in july 2016 i recieved a letter saying their is a safety recall notice 16s26/nhtsa recall 16v-384. this recall says the air bag if deployed could cause serious injury or death. i called ford on feb.-28-2017, and was told the same thing. i told them i would like ford to give me a rental truck to use until the parts come in , since my loved ones are setting in the passenger seat. i was advised that they would not give me a rental truck. i ask for a superviser to call. 3-1-2017 stacy called and left a message, 3-2-2017 at 1:55p jasmine called and left message saying no parts and didn't mention rental. this has gone on too long , putting my loved ones in danger, and ford is still building trucks with new airbags. ford is not being responsive!!

Takata recall recieved letter from ford july 2016 saftey recall notice 16s26/nhtsa recall 16v384 stating followup letter to be sent when part availiblity for appointment and presently nothing has been recieved about status feb 2017. to make this situation more adverse i have experienced another issue of total brake system failure twice once in forward and another while in reverse. both at under 5 mph and nothing was hit. but when the brake sytem unexpectedly malfunctions it may be deadly to deploy airbag thats a issue.

Takata recall takata appears to be bankrupt and the air bag in my pickup has not been available to replace. by the time a replacement is available from the bankrupt supplier the vehicle will be obsolete. nhtsa mandates the use of air bags in vehicles therefore nhtsa should bear responsibility in this matter.

Can you please let me know when parts will be available? this is a 2011 and it is a safety concern. so for this to be a recall and put customers at risk for years even though we know there is a recall is disappointing. this should be top priority. when will there be a remedy?
Takata recall. 12 months ago i married a canadian and moved to canada. i bought this vehicle specifically because it met all admissibility requirements to import into canada. however, i cannot get it licensed due to this outstanding, yet-to-be-remedied recall. ford motor company actually recommended i go back to the us and buy a different vehicle (at significant $ loss)
According to your site, the recall was issued june 1, 2016 but as of august 26, 2016 i have received nothing from ford. my local dealer acknowledged the recall but said "ford has no replacement parts for it".

Takata inflators. i received notification in the mail from nhtsa recall in july, 2016. that a safety issue exists with my vehicle. this issue concerns the airbags in my vehicle. i bought the vehicle new. all this time i have driven it unknown to me that an accident may cause me and any occupants with me serious injury or death. fairview ford in san bernardino, ca. states they know nothing concerning the recall. please help me resolve this issue.

Takata recall: ford sent my 1st letter in july 2016. in dec 2017 i received a letter telling me to not let anyone ride in my passenger seat until they resolve the issue. this is not possible since my vehicle is a 2 seat vehicle and often requires more than 1 passenger. i tried to contact ford for a solution such as disengaging the airbag or providing me a rental car. they would void the warranty and recall if i had the airbag disabled and refused a rental car. since this is my only vehicle that often requires more than one passenger i am not able to resolve the year and half only delayed recall? the companies solution does not allow for me to use my vehicle with danger of injury (passenger in the passenger seat) or financial burden (rental car).

Takata recall: we received the notice in july 2016 and called dealer multiple times / went down to the dealer that we purchased the vehicle from and there was no response other than they don't have the parts. we called 8/22/16, 1/31/17 and 11/8/17. to date we have not received any reply to our messages or follow-up.
