(takata recall) i got a recall letter from ford motor company dated july 2016. the recall was for the passenger side air bag on my 2008 ford ranger. i took the truck into my dealer, metro ford, independence, mo., within a few days of receiving the recall letter. the service manager told me the parts would be available the 4th quarter of this year, sometime in oct. 2016. i called the dealer today, 10/7/16, to see if i could bring my truck in for the airbag repair, & the service manager now tells me the part may not be available until after the first of the year 2017. i am very concerned about the slowness of this repair as i must use my truck regularly to haul materials, & am very concerned about my passenger's safety. is there a time frame within which the company is supposed to have this recall repair done? is this vehicle safe to use as i have no other means of hauling materials? *js
Takata recall. ford motor co. has not sent the necessary parts to the local dealers to fix the problem in a timely manner. my local ford dealers don't have the parts to fix the problem and say that ford motor co. sends in just enough parts to fix a few vehicles at a time. i'm on a long waiting list. i've been waiting since july of 2016 since i received their official letter of notification.

Takata recall in july 2016 i received the "important safety recall" from ford telling me my vehicle had the faulty passenger frontal airbag and to take it to my dealer for replacement. the dealer said they did not have the parts to do the repair. having been informed that the airbag on the passenger side is faulty i have been unable to have any ride as a passenger because if something happened and the airbag deployed and injured someone i would be at fault and my insurance would not cover me. i received another notice concerning the airbag in october and also info that takata was filing bankruptcy. the dealer still does not have parts for the repair. i would imagine i am not the only one who is in this situation. can anyone do anything about getting parts to the dealers to make repairs? i have a vehicle that cannot be used as designed.

Takata recall
Takata recall for our ford ranger has yet to be taken care of. the ford dealerships do not have a date to replace the recalled airbags by takata. we were notified in july 2016 of the recall and have called the dealership many times and they still do not have a dtae when they will replace the vehicle air bag.
**takata recall** this is to follow up on the complaint i filed a year ago (complaint #10955487) regarding ford's inability/refusal to replace my takata airbag pursuant to an active recall notice i received 6/1/2016. i checked with my local ford dealer, who indicated to me ford still doesn't have replacement airbags. this is unacceptable!!!! a year and a half later, and still no compliance? the value of my vehicle is affected, not to mention my safety. maybe if i name nhtsa as a defendant in a lawsuit, they'll finally put the screws to ford???
Takata recall, received ford recall 1year and 2 months ago. local dealers still do not have any replacement parts. this seems to be a scam.
Takata recall i received a safety recall letter in july 2016 about the passenger frontal airbag inflator defect. i contacted ford motor company several times since then and am still being told that that parts are unavailable.
Takata recall. got pre recall letter from ford in july, 2016 but dealer refused to schedule for repair, said i had to wait for follow up recall letter. that was in july, i'm still waiting! why tell me about the problem if they won't repair it?
Takata recall. this vehicle has been under a recall for almost two years. initially i was told that it was okay to allow a passenger to ride in that seat. that has been changed to not allow a passenger. this is too long for very limited use of my vehicle. other people's fords have been repaired and i see where for some rangers the parts have been received. this is unacceptable and i believe the problem has been relegated to a less important position. do something about this. i understand that there are a lot of vehicles under recall, but i am sure they're capable of creating replacements in less than two years. what's their yearly manufacturing volume?
**takata recall** #16v384 manufacturer recall #16-s26 i was first notified of this recall in july 2016. i have made two phone calls to my local ford dealer to see when i could expect to have this fixed. i was first told by end of december 2016, and am now told that it may be march 2017 or later. this is unacceptable. my heirs will own ford motor company and takata if i have the misfortune to be involved in an accident and am killed as a result of the defective airbag currently installed in my vehicle. it is ridiculous for these parts to still be unavailable 7 months after notification of this recall. please investigate this immediately and use any and all enforcement authority you have to ensure these repairs are made within the next 60 days.

Takata recall. notification of july 2016 stated my vehicle was under the safety recall notice 16s26 / nhtsa recall 16v-384. since then, there has been no activity or correspondence. have placed numerous calls to the dealership who informed me they have no replacements. now i am notified of the takata bankruptcy proceedings with implications i may lose any legal recourses if the repair is not made. why has no further activity been pursued to satisfy my recall? how do i protect myself and family from pending disaster?

Takata recall received recall notice july 2016, still no parts to the dealers more that a year after the notice was sent out
Takata recall - in december of 2016, i contacted : orchid isle auto center, kona branch, 76-6319 kuakini highway, kailua-kona, hawaii 96740, because of an airbag recall i received from takata in july of 2016 for my ford ranger. attached is my email communications with orchid isle ford, since then. in short, they have not replaced my airbag and i cannot sell my vehicle. dear orchid isle, because our ranger is almost 10 years old and in the past, you have suggested we sell it on our own, we have put out some feelers. unfortunately, because of the faulty takata airbag, it has created a situation for us in selling this truck. almost a year ago, i wrote to you after receiving the recall notice twice and called your service department, like you suggested. unfortunately, they could not help us then and now, a year later, they still do not have the part. we received a notice of federal bankruptcy by takata, which says we are still supposed to receive a free airbag replacement by the ford dealer that sold us the vehicle and if not, they have told me to file a complaint with nhtsa. here is our dilemma. our vehicle that is almost 10 years old, has only 40,000 miles on it. it looks like it just came out of the showroom and yet, we cannot sell it. we agree, we could probably pass it off to some unsuspecting buyer, but that would be unethical and we wouldn't even consider it. can you please assist us with this airbag replacement? from: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> to: [email protected] sent: monday, january 2, 2017 11:57 am subject: re: hau'oli makahiki hou! aloha, christine just call our service dept, 326-5655, & they will take care of it. all the best for 2017 kona bill
