Takata airbag 16s26 on the 12th of october 2018 i went to bill kay ford in midlothian illinois 60445. they perform the recall and everything was fine on the 17th they called me and said they made a mistake and needed me to bring it back i brought it back on the 18th of october and every since then the airbag compartment has been making a grinding noise that i didn't hear the first time they installed it i took it back on the 23rd i showed them the video footage of the sound it was making two different workers sat in the truck and heard the sound they kept the truck for 8 hours and called and told me that they tightened everything down but it was still making the sound and it was nothing they could do about it.i tried to make a complaint with ford motor company to have them instruct the midlothian dealership to take the airbag module recall out so i can go to a different ford dealership and have them perform the work correctly. ford motor company said that they did not have the authority to tell them to do so i called midlothian and asked them to take the recall out so i can have someone do it correctly the first time at a different dealership. and they refused to do so i feel unsafe i am annoyed and this is unacceptable

Takata recall - the manufacturer is taking an excessive amount of time to provide a replacement for the recalled parts. i have attempted to have the airbags changed at multiple dealerships for 9 months. the parts are still not available.
Takata recall. i have been trying to get my airbag replaced for quiet some time. our dealership in corsicana texas brinson ford is giving me the run around. they will not schedule my ford ranger for recall parts. they tell me to call back in two weeks and they should have replacement parts by then. when i call they tell me they got the parts and have already put them on other vehicles. this has happened to me three times. but they will not put me on a waiting list and do not offer any suggestion except call back. i am very frustrated they also told me the next closest place ennis texas dealership is out of parts as well. so what are we supposed to do. we are in the texas high heat and humidity and our vehicle is a do not drive and our only car to drive. so what do we do keep taking chances and getting put off until we get killed by a defective airbag we have known was defective for over 2 years but no parts were available and now that they are no one will fix it?? help us please. we are probably not the only ones having dealerships not wanting to help. sending copy to attorney generals office for reference. help! please! we have to get to dr visits,i am a cancer patient( and it is a 100 mile round trip )and buy our meds. and groceries. no choice but to drive this ticking time bomb. please help us!

Takata recall 16v-384 i received a letter from ford on 4/16/18 stating that "a repair for your 2007 ford rangers airbag inflator is available", and to call my dealer to set up an appointment to have it fixed. i have now called 4 dealerships and none of them have the parts to fix the airbag. i received the same letter from ford for my 2009 mercury milan over 2 years ago and i'm still waiting for parts for that vehicle. wtf!!! why send a letter if there isn't any parts at dealerships??? i do think that ford motor company needs to be stepped on by the us government to get them off their collective gluteus maximuses and get this problem fixed or else face heavy penalties. usually, when uncle sam calls, things get done. my 2009 mercury milan has 15000 miles on it, has not been out of the garage since sept. 2017 because i'm afraid to drive it. i've been told by ford employees that i shouldn't worry about the airbag exploding, but, that does little to assuage my fear. now my other vehicle(the only one i have left) has the same problem and ford is already starting with their fake recall letters & lack of parts problem. this is bull-sh-t!!! so much for "buying american".......maybe its time to go shopping for that honda/mitsubishi/toyota/hyundai.
