We received a safety recall notice 15s21/nhtsa recall 15v-319 from ford in july 2015. the letter states ..in the event of a crash, and the drivers side frontal airbag ruptures, metal fragments could strike occupants causing injury/death. based on this notice, we have not driven the car since receiving the recall notice form ford. i contacted ford customer care @ 800392-3673. i spoke to supervisor al and told him we were not driving our car due to recall notice. when will it be repaired. he said unknown when parts will be available. he said, nhtsa said the 2013 ford mustang is safe to drive until parts become available. is the mustang safe to drive or not. what is your recommendation on.
I received safety recall notice 15s21/nhtsa recall 15v-319 from ford in july 2015. this is in regard to the front driver airbag deploying abnormally resulting in metal fragments striking the driver. after 8 months, my vehicle is still not fixed because ford keeps telling me they still do not have the parts. since this is a safety issue affecting my life, have i not waited long enough for the fix? how much longer should this take?
Takata recall: notified by ford in july 2015. as of december 2016 defective airbag has not been replaced.
Received notice of recall from ford over a year ago (july 2015) - advised not to drive vehicle until driver side air bag is replaced. told recently that parts are not available. this is ridiculous - how do they expect me not to drive a new car that i bought for over a year?

Takata recall - why does ford still not have parts available to fix airbags yet with no future date in sight as to when the repair/replacement parts will be available? i received a recall letter from ford in july 2015 and now it is april 2016 and nothing can happen without necessary parts. ford says they cannot to speak to whether or not i should continue driving the mustang, but they say you (the nhtsa) recommends that i drive the car. is this true, or not?

My car is part of the takata air bag recall. the recall date was in may of 2015. i received a letter from ford in july confirming that my car was part of the recall. i waited about two months and then i called the dealership asking if they knew when the part would be in to fix the issue. they told me they did not know when the part would be available but they would call me as soon as it was in. i called the national ford customer service line and they informed me it would be at least april of 2016 before the part would be available. i don't think it's acceptable to wait almost one year to replace airbags that have been linked to serious injuries and deaths. i understand there is a high demand for replacement parts but they could have went with another company to get a replacement part. i am concerned when i drive my car now that if something were to happen i might be injured by the airbag that is supposed to protect me.
Takata recall. received recall notice. no part to replace. ford said the replacement would be available before the end of december 2016 and they would let dealer know and dealer would contact me to bring my car in for replacement. it is now march 2, 2017 and i haven't heard a word. what can i do?
