Takata recall - my wife is afraid to drive the mustang so it has been parked since july 2017 - ford dealership claims that ford has not found a company to make the replacement parts.we still make payments and pay insurance every month on a car we cannot drive.

Takata recall: safety recall 15s21 is for the driver airbag inflator replacement. safety recall 16s26 is for the passenger airbag inflator replacement. now, there is yet another - safety recall 16v384. while ford has replaced the driver airbag inflator replacement, they have not replaced the passenger airbag inflator. this recall is over a year old - and ford cannot give any update as to when (or if) the passenger airbag inflator will ever be replaced!

Takata recall dear sirs, the takata airbag recall has been in effect for our 2007 ford mustang for nearly 8 full months. the driver side airbag was replaced in a timely manner but not the passenger airbag. every time i receive one of these nhtsa recall notices like the one i received today, i repeat the vin number check, it is verified, i call the ford deal, brondes ford, maumee, ohio, where the car was purchased, and we are always told no parts are available and that it's "no problem to just keep using the vehicle. we will call or email you when parts are available." if it's no problem to keep using the vehicle and there are no restrictions on a front seat passenger being in the car, regardless of age, weight or seating position, then why is this nhtsa recall being repeatedly issued and why is ford ignoring the recall? *tr

Takata recall: i have been waiting for the replacement airbags to be available for the passenger side of the vehicle. it has been almost one year that this has been happening. i am filing this formal complaint per the instructions of the recall. how can we get the replacement airbags to eliminate the dangers takata has subjected many of us to?

I am a afraid to drive car and the dealers says they can not get the part for air bag. been waiting a long time. what can be done about this?

Ford does not have parts for the driver or passenger side air bags. i called ford and spoke with ren at 8:15 am on 09/23/16. i expressed my concern about the metal shrapnel if the bag deployed. i asked for a rental car. ren told me they did not provide a rental car. i explained this is my only car. ren informed me the driver's side air bag also needed a second repair. i called mulinax ford, apopka, fl - no parts. no rental car provided - it is my only card.

Takata recall we got a recall notice about driver side airbag made appointment with local dealer to have it fixed when got to appointment dealer said recall had already been serviced a month prior at mountaineer automotive in beckley wv which was false because the car had been in our possession at that time and not in wv .my dealer checked airbag to see if it had been changed it was still the old airbag .they will not fix it beings the vin shows it has already been serviced. i have been getting the run around from mountaineer automotive beckley wv for months now..they say they have to do an appeal im sure these things take time.. but we are going on our 4th month now i had made numerous calls left several messages with very little help..i have a car we need badly and a wife that is scared to drive it.dont know what to do or where to go have called ford customer relationship center .very friendly but no help they also called mountaineer automotive several times with not call back .then i was getting no call back from ford.any help would be very much appreciated... *tr

The issue has been identified for years. i cannot afford a new vehicle and our safety is at risk. ford and the dealers do nothing to help us regarding the replacement. they state the replacement units are not avialable and have no eta. your organization as well does nothing other than point me to the takata organization who you cannot leave a voice mail for or talk to someone for resolutions. how do we get help? ford has washed their hands of the safety issue from my view. i have received zero information from ford on and eta or a process to insure my families safety. please help. [xxx] my current view is ford, ford dealership, the takata organization has done zero to help the american consumer. we only receive legal notices to contact our lawyer in the event of an injury and then contact takata. well that is too late. ford has the responsibility and the resouces to fix this isssue years ago and everyone turns their head and chooses not to help fix the issue. Takata recall. this recall was issued more then a year ago as we were sent notices regarding temporary "fixes" while awaiting recalled airbags to be obtained by ford dealers. as of today my ford dealer only has one (drivers side) airbag available. this presents enormous risk to passenger and driver while waiting. i currently have an appointment for thursday. sept. 1st. for driver airbag only. on top of that if i can't get my car here before 2pm, i won't get it back the same day. so i'm stuck having to pay a rent a car fee. this is a safety hazard which can result in death and i have to be without a vehicle for the time needed for repair. this is not fair nor safe.

Takata recall - i have been waiting for more than 10 months for my local dealer, courtesy ford, pocatello, idaho to get in the parts from ford motor company. i have personally called ford motor company in dearborn, mi for them to tell me there is nothing they can do, "please call your local ford dealer and schedule and appointment to have the recall service performed". please help me get this safety issue resolved! thank you, *tr

Takata recall i scheduled a recall at a ford dealership in oklahoma city bob moore and i was told that they are receiving 5 replacements air bags a month and there is a waiting list of 90 cars in front of me. this would take around 14 months to have my car repaired. this car was in a high humidity area before been registered in oklahoma 8 months ago. i explained to the dealer that the car was previous in a priority recall area and i was told that it makes no difference for them. having my and my family safety first i have to strongly disagree and would like this department to assist not just me but other car owners on the same situation. thanks, eduardo

Takata inflators - reference complaint no. 11006081 and no. 11006075 airbag r07eplacement - 2007 mustang and 2008 fusion: i found the following information on a honda website - "the 'alpha' driver-front airbag inflators were the subject of the first takata airbag inflator recalls starting in 2008. in most cases, the previous owners of these affected vehicles did not replace the inflators under those recalls and, thus, the vehicles remain unrepaired. now, because of the time that has passed, they are even more likely to rupture if the driver's airbag deploys in a crash. in fact, in testing done by takata, alpha inflators removed from vehicles in consistently hot and humid areas showed a rupture rate as high as 50 percent." can i expect the same, higher percentage of kill rate, in the inflators in my 2007 mustang and 2008 fusion as they age, as found by honda? i will pay to have the airbags/inflators replaced - request your office provide the correct part numbers and recommended place to have the work correctly accomplished. i did not receive a response from your office to either referenced complain, any information your office can provide is appreciated. v/r, tom

Takata recall manufacture has been unable to provide replacement air bag for the safety recall notice 16s26/ nhtsa recall 16v-384. i have been in contact with local ford dealers since i was informed about the recall in july of 2016.

Takata recall: i was informed in july 2016 my passenger side airbags were faulty and the dealership has still not received replacement parts.

Takata recall: it is unfathomable that the ford motor company and the nhtsa feel the recall plan is acceptable for vehicle owners. we are being told to live with the defect for at least 2 full years - recall was june 2016 and latest notice is that parts for some vehicles are expected in spring 2018. during this time the remedy is that passengers cannot ride in the front seat. this is totally unacceptable and inflicts irreparable damage to vehicle owners as this remedy severely limits use of the vehicle far below its intended use. i realize the recall is with respect to a part supplied to ford, but this makes no difference. when i buy the vehicle, i purchase a ford vehicle, period. i feel it is a dereliction of duty for the nhtsa to have allowed this recall plan to be forced unfairly on to vehicle owners. i believe the plan should be amended such that ford is required to develop the parts sooner and, moreover, vehicle owners should be compensated for this extreme limitation on the use of our vehicles. i'm sure if a company like ford really wanted to expedite the process, it has the resources to do so. the nhtsa really let ford off the hook on this one. so disappointing.

Takata recall passenger side bag not replaced: have not received any recall information from ford . vehicle is unsafe and who wants to buy a used mustang with a defective passenger side defective airbag?

Takata inflators the existing recall on the passenger airbag of july 2016 indicates that it is not safe for a person to ride in the front passenger seat. i just received a notice that it is hoped that there will be a fix for this defect in 2018. because the back seats of this model of mustang have limited space for legs, my vehicle is now limited to accommodating the driver only. this car was not purchased as a commuter vehicle and it appears that i will be looking at about two years where i can't use it. this seems like and extremely long fine to address this problem. is there any other options for getting this fixed or replaced?
