Takata recall i received a safety recall notice 16s26/nhtsa recall 16v-384 from ford motor company of dearborn michigan in july of 2016 for passenger airbag and still have not received a new airbag 1-1/2 years later! my last inquiry was on 9/28/17 to ed carney ford, east hanover, nj, who told me that the part is still not available! i panic whenever i have a passenger...especially my daughter in the car. why is it taking so long to get the replacement passenger airbag? someone please help!
I received recall on july 2016 on airbag recall. i have contacted dealer 7-26-16, 10-3-16, 3-15-17, 6-16-17,10-10-17 & ford motor company on 11-7-17 register complaint case# 13495614 with no resolution to the recall. can anyone look into this matter and get back to me.
Takata recall: org. complaint #11035736 original letter regarding recall, dated 2016. call autoway ford 07/29/16 and was told no parts, called again numerous times after that, i know for sure i called on 10/23/17 and again 02/15/18. parts manager called me on 02/15/18 due to my concern with the inflator not being replaced. he stated that they were getting some in but they are for only 2011, 2012, 2013 vehicles since they are newer and more of these years on the road. i have not been able to have a passenger in my car for a long time due to the liability. i don't feel i should be punished because my vehicle is a 2006, with only 54.000 miles on it. i am very upset at this time. ford is no way helping me. i noticed when i got to the site it said to contact dealer and ask for a free loaner, will all dealerships do this?? if i leave car at dealership, i am afraid someone will use it because the day i bought it, i had to pick it up the next day and the manager took his wife to dinner in it. i did not approve of this at all. please advise as to the status of the inflator for my passenger air bag. thank you

Takata recall ford has now warned us by mail that no one should sit in the front passenger seat until the repair has been made and that they will begin making repairs in nhtsa remedy order in the spring of 2018. this is unacceptable. expecting us to not use the front passenger seat in a mustang (which has only enough seating space in the back seat for a very small child without a car seat) is totally unacceptable. and, as we have no idea where we will fall in the remedy priority order, it could be a very long time before our repair parts are available to us and we are able to safely transport more than one person in this vehicle. something more has to be done. this has gone on far too long.
I was notified in june, 2016 that there was a recall of the passenger frontal airbag on my car and it was potentially dangerous to the front passenger in case of a crash. since that time i have not allowed anyone to sit in the front passenger seat while awaiting correction of the problem. it has now been 18 months during which i have not had full use of my car and the passenger front airbag has not been replaced. this is egregious!!

Ford sent me a recall notice back in june 2016 letting me know my passenger airbag is a takata airbag and will need to be replaced. i have called ford multiple times over the year about when parts will be available. called them today and they state they are still not available and they do not know when they will be. it is mid august 2017, over a year later. i would like to know when parts will be available so i can have passengers sit in my car with me. recall numbers are 16v384 or 16s26. any information would be appreciated.

My car was recalled for faulty airbags. the driver side has been replaced, however the passenger side has not been replaced. it has been 18 months since bringing the car to the dealership for replacement airbags. every time i ask the dealership for the passenger airbag the dealer states that there are none in stock.
