Takata recall would like to see something done about the passenger side. they sent ma a notice saying not to have anyone on the passenger side. this negates my cars usefulness. how about you people do something as ford doesn't want to. maybe use a "lemon law and make them buy it back" do something!! have filed before with assurance that something would be done. not!!

This complaint is regarding an air-bag light that comes on when driving my 2005 mustang. the car was purchased new from joe meyers ford in houston. within the first year, the air-bag light started coming on randomly. it might not come on for days, then decides to come on. the owner's manual says if this light comes on to take it to the dealership, nothing else. the first time i brought it to the service department's attention, i was told if it wasn't on it wasn't a problem. within my second year of ownership, the air-bag light came on while driving to the dealership for a routine oil change. this time the service again saw the light on. they kept the car, sold me a battery service where they removed the cable and sprayed anti-corrosion stuff on the terminal. this did not change the random light coming on while driving. i brought it back to the dealership for the ford mustang recall to re-program the airbag system. this did not change the random light coming on while driving. received a call in may 2008 that they had a replacement sensor for my car. brought it in and was told it was the wrong sensor. the service agent told me to call back later (no specific time line)to see if they had the new sensor. the car's warranty was up in july 2008, the light comes on all the time, and the dealership said they do not have the sensor for my car, but there are 5 dealers in town that have them. i plan to bring the car back this next week for them to fix the sensor, and feel they should honor the warranty. whether they fix the problem or not remains to be seen. *tr
The air bag light behind the steering wheel comes on at random occasions. after starting the car in cool wet weather, or after the 3rd or 4th stop in a series of errands. it stays on until i turn the ignition off. after turning the ignition on again, sometimes it stays on again, and much of the time it goes off after the initial computer check. of course the dealer says they cannot do anything unless it is on all of the time. so what does it mean when it decides to stay on? will it not deploy in the event of an accident? *tr
Auto accident @35 mph frontal crash and air bags did not deploy in '05 ford mustang. *jb
Passenger air bag light comes on saying "passenger air bag off" with someone sitting in the passenger seat. have taken it to the dealer 3 times they say there is no code coming up there is nothing they can do to fix it. vehicle has also had to be towed in twice for a dead cell in the battery and the battery replaced. *tr
1)rattle sound coming from exhaust area when taking off in car. 2)cd's skip or won't play sometimes with shaker 1000 3) passenger side airbag light comes on and off while driving all the time by itself. 4) having trouble filling tank with gas at most gas stations. 5) have been hearing a squeak sound coming from drivers side dashboard near windshield area. *jb
At 40 mph the 4 wheel antilock brakes on my 2005 ford mustang locked up when i was attempting to stop at a stop light, causing my car to hydroplane into the back of a dodge pickup. the engine in my car was driven back into the fire wall upon impact; however, my air bag system failed resulting in more serious injuries to me. *nm
Takata recall as well as problems filling the gas tank. while stationary trying to pump gas in to the gas tank the gas pump will shut off after pumping no ore than 1/16 of a tank then requiring you to dribble gas in to the tank with the pump regularly shutting off every few seconds and never filling the tank with out the pump shutting off completely, and this happens at all pumps in every state and every brand of gas. once you pump as much gas as the pump will allow you have to hold te throttle pedal down to the floor to get the car to start and then you have to feather the pedal to keep the engine running which causes the engine to race and is very dangerous.
