Takata recall. we need a fix. we keep getting recall notices, when we call the dealers, the same answer every time, we will call you when we get the parts. no returned calls. our family has a ford and chevy that have been on the recall list for "4" years!?! neither have a fix for it. i understand takata is to blame, but an alternative fix should be made to take care of this problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There was a recalll for default with the emergency brake and takata airbag
I just purchased a 2005 ford mustang. the past owner gave me a letter nhtsa recall 16v-384. how do i let someone know to contact me when the parts come in?
Takata inflators. i have been trying since last august to get the recall done on both my front airbags.first the dealer(charles gabus ford in desmoines iowa)promised me a loaner car for the day my car would be in the shop, only to travel there 40 miles and then they say they had none available.then i contacted ford motor co. recall department just to try to get my name off of their recall mailing list due to the fact that they don't really take this recall seriously.after requesting to talk to a supervisor because i was getting nowhere with this woman ,she simply hung up on me.

(did not) drive at all for 3 years). ford motor company gave "no" assistance with this problem. no offer of another vehicle to use of compensation for auto insurance. when ford motors was called they blamed the local dealership. the local dealerships blamed ford motors for not getting the parts ( or correct part) to them. for 2 1/2 years this conversation went between myself and them. ford dealerships would not even take this vehicle in for trade. without a massive price reduction to me. updated 10/15/18*jb

When contacting ford dealerships, they state they do not have the parts for the recall. i do not question the dealerships, as i feel they sincerely don't. but there are two airbag recalls for this model and this have been going on for quite sometime, with the dealerships not having the parts to fix recalls from 2016 through today. *tr

Takata recall - there has been a recall on the passenger frontal airbag inflator since june 1, 2016 and still no remedy available. we haven't been driving the vehicle very much since the passenger side is unsafe if we were to be involved in an accident.
Takata recall i received a letter from ford motors saying "a repair is available for your vehicle." the letter told me " please call your dealer without delay and request a service date for recall 16s26 to receive your free repair." i called hawk ford in oak lawn, il, identified my recall and they immediately scheduled an appointment. when i arrived, they said they did not have the part and could not perform the work. this is the second time it has happened with the same dealer. the first time i did misunderstand the letter and assumed the work could be done. however the dealer's staff still scheduled the repair and didn't have the part. why is ford telling me to get this done asap when their dealers don't have the parts and why is the dealer scheduling work they can't perform. i am totally frustrated and powerless. i am tired of driving a one-person car! please help!

After we had the first airbag recall replaced we started to experience the flicker 9f the airbag light. we assumed this was due to the necessity of the passenger side airbag needing to be recalled. our service technician doesn't agree. they say the instrument cluster needs replacing. the only information i can find on that is that all other gauges fail if the cluster needs replacing. that is why i feel that the light is on directly because of the airbag recall.

Takata recall - received a recall notice in 2016 concerning defective inflators in air bags. contacted local ford dealer on numerous occasions (6+). dealer will not return my calls. was told today that repair parts are still not available. this is not an acceptable length of time to get a recall repaired. i would expect better service from ford than i have received. currently i own a 2005 mustang with only 84,000 miles and i can not have a passenger in the front seat area. unacceptable!!! it has been over 18 months. again unacceptable!!

Ford sent me a recall notice telling me not to allow any passenger in the passenger seat until the airbag has been replaced. this is my work car as i am in real estate and the loss of the car would seriously affect my business. i have spoken to ford locally and nationally and they say that they will not provide a loaner car as a result of this defect regardless of the effect on my business. can you help to direct me to the right area to complain.

Takata recall. ford sent a safety recall notice dated december 2017, in regards to a passenger side airbag inflator: 16s26. in this letter, ford tells me there will be no parts available until at a minimum of spring 2018, and word for ford: "warning: until remedy parts become available, do not allow anyone to sit in the first row passenger seat. the air bag could rupture during deployment in a crash and cause injuries or death. when the front row passenger seat is not occupied, the passenger air bag will not deploy, eliminating the risk." ford customer service has stated there are no loaners due to this..just that i cannot have any passengers in my car. i do not feel safe for myself and my family, and find it ridiculous my only option is to not have any passengers. ford needs to legally provide a rental car as they feel they don't need to assist the customers they are putting in danger.

Takata recall. i have been asking my local dealer when the driver side airbag will be replaced. i have been told the same quote for years, "when ford finds a new supplier for the takata air-bag we will have one for you". my family cannot ride in my passenger front seat. if this is a mandatory recall, then why isn't ford made to replace the part? why cannot ford just use a new airbag in place of the old air-bag? i have been told by many mechanics that the front dashboard of recent year mustangs take the same style of airbag. if another person is injured, it will be on the hands of nhtsa for not forcing the replacement airbag. i live in one of the hottest, most humid climate changing areas in the usa. summers of humid 105 f. degree, and winters down to 20 degrees. my mustang is a convertible and receives 100% of the humidity when the top is down.
I contacted my ford dealership to schedule the replacement of the passenger frontal airbag. they tell me they do not have the replacement part and that they have been waiting 1.5 years to get the part. the deployment of defective airbags could result in death. the fact that the replacement part has been on order for 1.5 years and has still not been sent to ford dealerships is not acceptable.
Takata recall my local ford dealer still does not have a replacement airbag for my car. recall notice was dated 06/01/2016.
Passenger airbag recall in june 2016. part still unavailable. this is a safety hazard to my passengers. when will part be available for replacement?

Takata recall i am complaining today about sarasota ford. my car windshield wipers would not work and it had something to do with electrical. i had my friend take my car there because i had to return back to the midwest. i did not want to drive 19 hours without wipers. i figured since it was there i would call and have them take care of this airbag recall. i was told everything was taken care of and i paid them over the phone and was going to fly and pick it up that week. hurricane irma made that impossible by the time i did pick up my car i never spoke to any of the service department. i wanted to make sure everything was safe to drive 19 hours home. i had to even walk in the back parking lot because the secretary who did help get my keys couldn't drive a stick. there was a bag of food left in my backseat and maggots was in my backseat . i knew they were swamped so i didn't even complain. i was on my way back to kc and my car won't start when i was in the middle of nowhere. i immediately call sarasota ford and they put me on hold for a long time. i finally hung up and some locals helped me pop start my clutch. i drove two more hours and my car started overheating. i pull over and its steaming. i had to get a hotel room in alabama somewhere and a tow truck. it ended up being the thermostat housing. i thought that sarasota would of gave my car a full diagnostic to figure out what was the problem. i just went to the airbagrecall.com because i got another reminder to fix recall this week and it my still has a airbag recall. i am just lucky my car only broke down after getting fixed at sarasota ford. i could of wrecked and the airbag would of been faulty.
