Takata recall - i received the safety recall in july of 2016 and still haven't received notice that there is a solution. i would not consider this "in a timely manner". this a serious safety issue and i don't feel safe driving in the car with my family members.

Takata recall i received a recall notice from ford motor company in july of 2016. recall # 16s26. indicated i would be notified when parts available for repair. in december 2017 i received another letter informing me parts may be in spring 2018. i was also notified not to have any one sit in front seat. i recently contacted a ford dealership about availability of replacement parts and i was notified that parts may never come in. i informed the service writer that this makes the car all most useless. the reply was that the way it is. i feel all ford is doing is delaying and avoiding the expense of repair. i have friends who drive honda's that have been repaired for months.

Takata airbag recall

Takata recall. ford motor recalled the car in july, 2016 and has failed and refused to fix the air bag or replace the car. i cannot allow any person to be in the car except for me, as it is too dangerous. ford motor has recently issued a follow up letter with further delays to fixing my car. ford has deliberately delayed the solution to the airbag, in order to force people like me to sell the car or use it as a trade in. in addition, while other manufacturers have replace the faulty airbag, ford has not, and i am informed that ford may seek be be released in the takata airbag bankruptcy.

Takata recall i received a letter date july 2016 telling me that the airbag inflator may rupture in the event of a crash and injure or kill me. it is well over one year since i received such letter and ford has not taken any action to keep me safe.

Takata recall notified over a year ago - no action taken yet. dealer refuses to disconnect the air bag. i have lost the use of the passenger seat in my car. you need to have congress or someone authorize disconnection of the air bag. this is ridiculous. better yet - replace the [xxx] air bag now!! i'm sure ford could find some alternate product to replace this. parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Takata recall: have made repeated requests to local ford dealer as to availability of replacement airbags. to date ford motor company has failed to make replacement parts for takata airbags available to ford dealers in the san diego area. ford motor company has an obligation to provide replacement airbags in a timely manner. the first recall notice for these airbags was sent out july 2016.

Takata airbag. received original letter july 2016. continued to drive car on many trips, received 2nd letter december 2017 stating that no one ride in passenger seat. this was not in 1st letter. to this date no airbag. ford to mail letters for repair by oct 2018. no letter as of this date. no help from corporate.ford finally gave us a rental in march. ford spent over $10,000 on rental could have given us another car. we just want it fixed. car is parked. please help!!

Ford motor company notified me on july 1,2016 of a recall involving takata passenger side air bags. i have called my dealership every month since then and also called ford motor co. customer service. every time i call ; all of the answers are the same. parts are not available. i have also been advised to park my car and not to use it until such parts are available. today i made my calls to both my dealership and to ford. both gave me the usual answer. no parts are available. i received in today's mail a notice of takata's bankruptcy. what are we supposed to do? we are in our mid 70's and can not afford to replace our 2010 ford fusion. nor can we afford to park it and lease another car.

Takata recall - received first notice in july 2016, at old address - forwarded to new address; called local dealership who indicated parts not available. called often still not available - received notice 12/17 that parts available spring of 2017 and not to drive with passengers in front row; called ford - they told me that parts would be available by late may or early june 2018 . finally ford approved a rental car but i cannot take it out of my home state. my car has sat for almost a year. i travel out of state - hate to fly but drive to visit and consult. i am 75 and making car payment on a car i cannot drive.

Received recall letter from ford motor company in july 2016 for defective passenger air bag advising it was to be replaced and i would be notified by ford motor company when to bring it in for replacement. to date (11/02/17), a year and 1/2 later no communication has been received from ford motor company. front seat passengers in my vehicle, which at times includes myself, continue to risk injury and/or the possibility of death. the stress and anxiety of this continued lack of resolution of this problem needs to end. i do not feel my vehicle is safe.

Takata recall. we received the recall notice in july 2016, now 16 months ago. i have called our local dealer (san juan capistrano, ca.) many times and have always been told the same thing....they are not available and don't know when they will be. i even wrote to ford on 1/16/17, saying my car was sitting in the garage all this time, i am scared to have a passenger in that seat, hearing about deaths and injuries. i have no use from my car since that time (the battery keeps dying from misuse!) i asked for a loaner car in the meantime (as a toyota owner friend of mine was given!) and have been refused. they wrote to say that i have been "provided a response to your request". i have given up calling and writing as there is no satisfaction. no car, no loaner car, and no news of a fixed/new passenger airbag!!

Takata recall - ford has failed to provide a timely fix for my airbag defect. given this is a safety issue that could cause injury or death, i consider this unacceptable that after nearly six month i have been offered no solution. i find it hard to believe ford has no replacement airbags. i am sure if i were in an accident requiring replacement of a deployed bag paid for by me or insurance, the body shop would have one. this is simply ford waiting for takata to provide one for free instead of just giving me one they already have. i guess if it kills me, then ford will enjoy paying my survivors millions instead of giving me a 300 dollar air bag up front.
