Takata recall has been in effect for over one year on this vehicle, but the local ford dealer keeps saying that they do not have any parts to make the repairs. is ford just waiting for us to have an accident or get rid of the car due to old age? we believe that ford is just stalling so that they will not have to make repairs.

Takata recall. the recall date for the airbag recall was june 2016 and it has now been nearly a year and ford still has "no remedy" for this recall. this is extremely dangerous in the case of an accident. in addition, i was not notified of this recall or the electronic throttle body issue that my car also has but now is past the "extended warranty" and they will not fix for free, despite me having made a complaint about it in the past. last week, i was on the freeway traveling at 70 mph, my car suddenly stopped accelerating and slowed down rapidly. i had been lucky no one was closely following behind me and i was in the right lane and quickly could pull over or i could have been hit from behind at a very fast speed because of the etb failing. i have never been notified of any of the safety issues that my car has. ford has failed to notify me and i feel that because they did not send me anything, even though they have my address and email, they put me at risk of an accident that could have led to serious injuries.

Takata inflators. i havent had an issue except i bought this vehicle in april of 2017 and when i found out about the air bag recall, the dealer's service department told me they are aware of the issue and are blaming ford for not getting them the correct parts to address this vital safety issue. in the mean time i've received notices about the recall and to take my car to the dealer,etc...but if they don't have the parts what can i do?? for ford to be taking this long on sending out the parts is beyond me for such a crucial safety issue, and was wondering how many people are going to die in the meantime??

I got an safety recall notice from ford for my car on 06012016 (10 months ago...) and they still do not have any remedy available for it. may i still get my car registered this year? it is their mistake, not mine. nhtsa recall number:16v384; recall date: june 1, 2016 manufacturer recall number: 16s26. summary: the passenger frontal airbag inflator could rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the supplemental frontal airbags are designed to deploy. this defect report is in response to takata dirs 16e-042, 16e-043, 16e-044. safety risk: the passenger frontal airbag inflator could rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the supplemental frontal airbags are designed to deploy. this defect report is in response to takata dirs 16e-042, 16e-043, 16e-044.

Recall complaint: i received a recall notice on my car's airbag in june 2016. as of april 2017, the recall has not been taken care of. i understand it takes time to manufacture parts needed for recalls but this seems extremely long for a recall, compared to past recalls i've had to deal with.

Takata recall. i am trading this car in today because it has been over 9 months since the recall, june 1, 2016, and i'm tired of making my husband sit in the back seat because i am fearful of the defective passenger airbag deploying. i was not given full value for my trade because there is still no remedy. this is absolutely unacceptable.

Takata inflators i was warned of the recall a year ago, however, no solution/ fix has been offered.. this is our family car and i do feel a little uncomfortable driving it with the defective air bags ..

Safety bags on recall. and my car makes a clicking noise when i turn either direction had it checked they can't explain it

I contacted my ford dealer where i bought my vehicle from & was advised they have no fix for the airbag system yet. i was re-ended breaking at a round a bout in feb. & the airbag never went off. i got whiplash & a concussion from the blow of being hit.

Notified in 2015 of the defect in air bags .the local dealership here in columbus ms did inspect the defect and repaired it. this had another problem air bag sensor would not go off stayed that way of several months nothing was done about it. is the air bags safe on this car. the air bag sensor would not go off.

Takata recall

Takata recall, ford dealer does not have in yet; thankfully nothing has happened yet.

Takata recall, received two notices in mail. do not want to continue to drive this auto if it is not safe. the seat belt light just keeps coming on.

We have received several re-call notices for the takata airbag issue in our 2010 ford fusion over the last several years. we have spoken with our local ford dealership several times also, but our vehicle still has not been serviced. we also just received a letter from the florida highway safety and motor vehicles and usdot stating that "according to records from ford, you have not yet responded to this safety recall to have the necessary free recall repairs made." this is not true, as we stated above. we live in florida which, according to this website, is in zone a, and since our vehicle is a 2010 model, we believe that we should have been high on the priority list for this re-call fix. thank you in advance for your assistance with this issue.

Takata recall. i have for over a year tried to get my airbag replaced. huntersville, nc ford has been contacted several times and so far they have refused to replace the airbag. so, i eventually called capital ford of charlotte, nc about two months ago with no better luck. i contacted ford, corporate twice and the only response they ache given me is to contact my local dealer. interestingly enough, i continue to receive mail from ford reminding me that i need to get my airbag replaced. each time i am told by the dealer that the part is not available. we are wanting to sell our car, but since the recall is not complete, this is hindering me being able to sell it since a buyer does not want to buy a car with an outstanding recall. so, either ford should buy the car from me, or replace the airbag.
