Takata recall i have received several notices that there is a recall, the ford dealership keeps telling me they do not have the parts to fix it.

I received a notice about a settlement in the mail that my car may have defective air bags. i went on this site and entered my vin and i indeed do have the defective takata airbags in recall. when i informed my local dealer about this, they said that they could not do anything for me. what if i am in an accident? why did i not get a recall notice in the mail? this makes me mad.

Takata inflators : i've received a letter saying that my air bag need to be replaced, however they said that they will call me when the parts are available. after a couple months i called ford and they said they still don't have the parts. three days ago i received a letters from auto airbag settlement saying that i should do the recall as soon as possible. however ford still doesn't have the parts. i have been waiting for 18 months .

I have called several times about the rental til the part comes in, my dashboard is constantly saying clear passengers area for airbag, i have called the ford company but i am getting a run around, i have no other vehicle to drive so i still driving this one but i am scared, please either give me a rental or fix it please

On september 18, 2018 i drove to a rutter's and when i started to drive home the power steering went out. i turned my car off and then on and a warning light referring to the steering came on. i called apple ford dealership in york, pa and brought my car in the next morning. they confirmed that the steering rack had to be replaced. the repair cost was $2,200, which i ended up paying. after researching this issue i discovered that the same issue was recalled on the 2011 fusion but not the 2010. also i've been waiting for the part for the takata recall. since i needed a rental while my car was being fixed they put me in a long term rental since the airbag part hasn't come in yet. i'm hoping they will recall the steering rack for the 2010 fusion as well.

Takata recall. i had them place an order for the air bag, and they said they would call when it arrives. still no call. i mentioned the rental car option, and they shrugged it off. also, the upper and lower control arms have been replaced only 2 years ago, and they are already going out again which can cause loss of control. they should not be going out so soon.

Takata recall. stationary vehicle. power steering locked. turned off and came back few hours later, turned on and it worked perfectly. again in stationary vehicle, started engine and power steering locked. turned off and came back few hours later , turned on engines and it worked perfectly. i decided that this was a major safety issue and drove to ford dealer. message on screen was 'power steering assist fault' both times. they gave me an estimate for $2600 + to replace lower control arms and rack and pinion assembly with no mention of any repair or replacement of power steering assembly. and ford has a recall out for 2011 and 2012 fusions with the exact same power steering assembly, having the exact same problems.

Takata recall, on 8-20-18, i could not turn the wheel to my card, a display came up on the dash and it said power steering assault fail. i could not turn the wheel, i turned car and left it where it was. i called ford they said to bring it in to be evaluated. they charged me $140.00 to evaluate and i told them there have been more compalints, they said they are not aware of any recalls on the power steering. they told me it is failing and i would have to pay $2300.00 to get it fixed, this is not normal they said. i have a 19 year honda and the power steering has not failed or has any problems. i do not believe i should have to pay to fix something like this and to be told they are not aware when there is reports and documented reports of powers steering assault failing . how do i have ford fix this this is a hazard to drive the car. they have not given me a report due to the car is at ford till the air bag is fixed.. i still do not feel safe driving the car knowing the power steering is failing. i owe more than the car is worth. how do i get help with this issue

Takata recall - i received notice of the recall in august of 2018. no parts are available at my local dealerships to complete the remedy, and i am told the parts will likely not be available before the end of the year. ford seems unable to remedy the defect within a reasonable time.

Takata recall i received the recall for my vehicle along with a call and text message. i attempted to contact several dealerships near me to get a rental vehicle until the parts are in to repair the recall. all of them told me they have a 3 month+ waiting list or they just would never call me back. i called ford and they coordinated with a dealership to supposedly get me a rental vehicle in 2 weeks. i asked if i am just supposed to continue driving the vehicle in the meantime with my toddler in the car knowing the airbag could explode and they said yes. i asked if there was another rental option such as reimbursement for a rental company but they said no. at this time i was told to continue driving the recalled vehicle despite risks.

The car is subject to nhtsa recall number 18v046. it is my mother's car who no longer drives, and so i wasn't aware of the recall until i attempted to trade it in this month. i called the service department at olathe ford in olathe ks and was told the car is safe to drive as long as no one sits in the passenger seat. i found this remark to be rather ludicrous and asked to speak with a manager. the "manager" rudely stated that nothing could be done because they didn't have replacement parts. i asked to speak with the dealership general manager and the person promptly hung up. coincidentally, i had the car appraised at carnax in merriam ks in april 2018 and they made an offer without mentioning the airbag recall.

Takata recall. i am in a rental car provided by ford motor company through enterprise rental car, but am incurring additional expenses as a result. my gas mileage is significantly less than i got in the fusion, and whenever i drive on toll roads, i am charged a $3.95 convenience fee from enterprise rental car. i found out from another source other than ford that i may be entitled to up to $500 in reimbursements for additional expenses yet ford has not informed me as to how to file for these reimbursements.
