I have already contacted nhtsa, reference # 11119887, i explained that the vehicle was sold to me on january 21, 2017 by al piemonte ford dealership in illinois. i had no knowledge that the vehicle already had an airbag recall on it and they sold it to me without disclosing this information. they later sent me my first recall notice in the mail 16s26 / nhtsa recall 16v-384 we were involved in a car accident and the airbags did not deploy. when i went to my local ford dealer, where i was told to go, the ford dealership informed us that the recall was only for the passenger side not for the driver side airbag. i showed them proof of our accident including pictures from the insurance showing the ford dealer that neither of the airbags deployed during the accident. we provided proof and paperwork to the ford dealer. they only replaced one airbag for free and forced us to pay $536.41 out of pocket. this is our only vehicle and we have a small child. they told us the fact that the driver side did not deploy during the car accident is not there problem and there is nothing that they could do; so we had no other choice, we we're forced to have both airbags replaced. i have an official complaint put in with ford company, complaint # [xxx] i sent this complaint to their customer relationship center in michigan. i also sent this complaint to the al piemonte ford in melrose park, il where the vehicle was originally purchased. i also put in a complaint with the federal trade commission, office of defect investigation complaint #100426513 i have not heard back from anyone! no response back from ford, no response back from the federal trade commission and no response back from nhtsa. do you have an update or any status on my complaint? please advise. thank you, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *cc *tr

Takata recall about three weeks ago, i got an mail saying that the part was available. i called my ford local dealership (jackson, tn, 38301). my car was put on a waiting list and i was told that the dealership has no idea when the part will be available. three weeks later, i called the dealership again but i was told again that they have no idea about when the part is available. i do not understand what is going on here. when ford, the manufacture, said that the part is available, can't the dealership just order the part for customers. it is outrages that i received my first recall notice back in 2014, but i still have not get it fixed almost in 2019. it is supper inconvenient since we can't use this car to ride the whole family, but sometimes, i have to when my second car is broken.

I have been advised by ford that my vehicle has a recall on the the takata airbag inflator, and ford has replaced the inflator. however, your recall "tool" does not show any recalls for my make, model, and year. this does not lend credibility to your software.

Takata recall i have been unable to receive a replacement component for the affected vehicle and have been attempting to do so from my local ford dealer since 2016. they said they have never gotten any parts in that could apply to my vehicle due to the shortages and problems from this recall. the site said to notify someone via phone or online complaint if the recall could not be satisfied in a timely manner, hence why i completed this form.

The airbag inflator has been recalled for more than 1 year and no parts are available to complete the recall. also, there's a settlement suit i cannot file to be included with since the recall hasn't been completed.

Takata recall on my vehicle.

Takata recall airbag in my vehicle.

There is a recall on airbags and every time i call my ford dealership they tell me they don't have the part to do the recall repair. also recently my door handle had broke leaving it unable to lock. i work at a bar so i leave late hours i was very scared by a gentleman hanging around so i got in my car to lock the doors only to break my handle and find out this happens a lot and when the mechanism breaks the locks no longer work.

Takata recall i got my first recall notice back in early 2016 when i lived in morgantown, west virginia. i was told i will be contacted when the part is available. i am living in jackson, tenessee. i received a notice saying the part is still not available, and that is two and half years later. a lot of inconvenience has caused. i tried to drive the car without a passenger on the front passenger seat. several times, when my other car broke down, i had to drive my fusion with my wife on the passenger seat. this is a constant timing bomb if accident happens and the air bag inflates. i hope ford will fix my airbag within 1 month, which is a reasonable time after waiting for two and half years.

Takata recall- for over 2 years they send me notices that my car is not ready. it has been sitting next to my home(fully paid off) and is not usable. when i contact ford all they try and do is to get me to pay for other repairs like my busted doors, windows, ect. i want my car fixed or they can pay me for the loss of 2 years of use and my insurance payments.i cannot even take advantage of the class action lawsuit because they will not issue the part to get my car fixed. enough already.

The exterior paint chips of in 2" diameter. also when i took car for the airbag recall on 9/15/2018, it drove good to coccia ford. it drove ok back to house after installation of new airbags. a few hours later after we had parked the car, we got call to go and pick up my hubby's medicine from walgreen, so we did. when rick got back to car, i tried to start it up. it bucked, made noise and i felt like i was riding a mechanical bull. i had pulled out about 3 feet, so i had to pull back up. i called my best friend's boyfriend who came and said he thought the car did this because timing chain broke and possibly did engine damage from sitting for 2 1/2 months while we drove a rental for same 2 1/2 months. both my husband and i are disabled...he is in process of seeing a neurosurgeon dr. deluna about his spinal cord stimulator and battery pack possible removal due to pain. we changed the oil in the car rabout 2 weeks before we had to park it, we had fixed the right headlight at same time and the car was inspected at same time. car was in great shape when we parked it for the 2 1/2 months, and now i have no car for his appts. we are trying to get it fixed but i am not sure.how. it really wiped us out worrying about how we are gonna get through this. on top of that the paint chips off in chunks and both front door handles are broken. this is the crappiest car i have ever had. not to mention that the motor mounts might also have caused the problem. they are terrible and in terrible shape now. i feel like this car is nothing but a death trap. if when i was looking for a car i had know what all was wrong with the 2006 ford fusion and the air bags recall, i would never have bought this car.

Takata recall, dealer has not addressed the recall issue. it's been over 3 months, they stated ford is back up with orders. my air bag is starting to stick out i'm afraid it light deploy.

Takata recall, i would like to disconnect my airbag until the company can get a replacement which metro ford sales in schenectady. the company said should be during the 4th quarter of the year, probably by january of 2019. the cost to lease, rent or loan for a car for that period of time is prohibitive even with ford's discount because of the recall. i was told by the nhsa that i have to fill out this form in order for ford to disconnect the airbag.

Takata recall have yet to get papers and get problem fixed. intermitten failure of the electronic throttle body.

I have tried to contact dealerships in my area for the past month. ford does not want to deal with these recalls. they ignore my calls, give me the run around & tell me it will be 6 months or more for a rental vehicle. i contacted ford motor company & was told my car was safe to drive, just don't put anyone in the passenger's seat. that is not sufficient for me as i transport children on a daily basis and this is my only vehicle.

Takata recall. ford has authorized me for a loaner/rental, but has been dragging their feet for over a week. i need my car to work and they're endangering my life.

Takata recall.attempted to schedule maintenance on the car for the recall and was given the running around for almost a year.when i spoke with the service manager he was not understanding or trying to be told me they didnt give out loner or rentals while i wait for the part to come in because "it doesn't work like that" and i had to show him my recall letter before he would go any futher.this same dealership had replaced the driver airbag and was supposed to put me on the list for the passenger side before that service but now the manager had no clue to what i was referring too and i had provided my vin at the time i scheduled the service appointment online

Tamara recall my frustration is i want to sell my car, but do not want to sell with a recall issue. i've contacted ford twice. ford assured me they would have an airbag for me at hilyear ford in woodburn oregon by the end of october. i called early november to essentially be told tough luck, we'll let you know. i had called two dealerships, pasco washington and woodburn oregon. we've recently moved to woodburn. no help. basically i feel like i'm stuck with a car that i can't sell. (we have three cars, cutting to two after retirement). the original recall notice was sent in may, but there appears to be no effort by ford to actually resolve. i just wish they could give a date they can actually compete the repair so we can plan. if i'd known this last may, i would have just dropped the insurance and parked my car. any help will be appreciated!

I just wanted to alert you that my vin is no longer coming up as having a recall. ford is saying in there system it still is. you might want to qa your system to make sure you are not giving out false information to people. you can use mine as an example to check why it's not showing: [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

Takata recall

Takata recall - i've called my local ford dealer (spradley barr ford) twice now regarding an airbag recall for my vehicle and both times the have said they can't do anything about it because they don't have the parts and to check back in another month or so. why have a recall if i can't actually get my vehicle taken care of, isn't this a safety hazard?

Called dealership about getting replacement air bag installed because of the recall letter i received. said i needed to wait until that grouping of vehicles were to be serviced. i've been waiting over 6 months -- and still nothing. if this vehicle is unsafe because of faulty airbag, why don't they expedite the service and replacement?

Takata inflators - notified of recall in 2016 and still replacement part is not available.

Airbag recall letter received in june 2016, again more recently, and still no follow up as to actual replacement of faulty parts. no issue with the air bag noted, but not comfortable driving around with a part known to perform dangerously when it should be protecting the driver.

Takata recall still waiting for a replacement for the airbag. every time i call the dealer, they say no parts are available. was sent a notice from ford saying not to let anyone ride in the front passenger seat. the only reason we still have this vehicle is to get my 97 year old mother to and from the doctor. that is the only seat we can get her in and out of. there is no solution. we need the airbag replaced and have been waiting since before my father passed last year.

Takata recall i have to wait till april 2018 for my car get fixed on airbags. for now i am at risk including my family. i consider that's too long waiting for ford' motors company to get action. that is all ford company has offered me till moment. it's a long waiting period.
