Car stalled multiple times 3 days in a row

While driving my car acts like it's not getting any gas it stalled on me couldn't start it , had to push to a safe place now engine light is on. i took and got it checked was told it's a vapor lock. i see there's a recall for fuel system, gasoline: storage but not on mine i am unable to have mine repaired do to finances. why recalls on some focus and not all.

When i put gas in my car i have trou left restarting the car, when it does start it runs rough for a minute then is fine until i put gas in the car again.

Engine light came on with "engine fault service now" message. the vehicle went into limp mode and finally car shut down. i took into a ford dealership and they said the turbo and engine were not getting fuel on the highway pumped into them and would both need replaced.

Tl* the contact owns a 2016 ford focus. the contact received a recall notice for nhtsa campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline). after receiving the notice, the contact stated that the vehicle would stall and turn off without warning when approaching a stop. the contact took the vehicle to frontier ford (3701 stevens creek blvd, santa clara, ca 95051, (408) 533-1488) where the contact was informed that the recall was for the deformation of the fuel tank, not the canister purge valve. when the contact notified the dealer of the recall, he was informed that it was a "public safety notice". the contact was informed that he would have to pay for a diagnostic test to determine the cause of the failure. the manufacturer was not contacted. the vehicle was in the possession of the dealer to repair the fuel tank. the canister purge valve remained unrepaired. the failure mileage was 62,000. vin tool confirms parts not available.

I took my car in for the recall, and the dealership replaced the evap purge valve. after getting it fixed i had to return the car to the dealership 2 weeks later because it dies every time i get gas, not the problem i was having before. the dealership determined this was because ford sent out a faulty part, and the flap isn't closing on the valve. ford will not fix the problem the the recall say it is a one time fix, the dealership will also not fix the problem as they state it is is fords responsibility.

My car runs well but after driving my car in motion it begins shaking and then it turns off. i cranked my car again and it runs good in a street but it keeps doing the same thin all over again.

While driving within city limits on a daily basis, my vehicle shutters from the start and at acceleration, sometimes stalls as i start to eccelerate from red lights and stop signs, creating potential hazardous conditions. engine light has come on and want go off, and smells of fuel while vehicle is being driven.

Check engine light is on and when checked at autozone it comes back as the pvc which is a know issue with focuses. also, on one occassion, the transmission fault light came on and that is also a know issue with focuses. my vehicle often stalls at intersection when i have to slow down or stop and is difficult to restart in most cases.

2016 ford focus se. vehicle hesitation, stalling. check engine light on for p2196 and p1450. vin number does not show in safety recall. checked by ford dealer.l 18s32-s1/ ford reference # 19s22. pertaining to large recall for software update and canister purge valve.

Day 1: gas meter is showing i have 1/4 gas left in car then all of sudden car shuts off, i go and put gas in and then when i start it up it started up rough then shut off. i go to turn it on again cranks for a few seconds and then it started. felt like gas tank was actually empty and struggled to put fuel through gas lines. day 2: 3 days later i have a little more than a 1/4 tank of gas as i am driving the gas meter started to go up to 3/4 of gas. that is strange. and car is sputtering like if it had no gas.

Car has stalled twice. once while at a stop. once while driving. the latter while my tank was less than half full. there is a vacuum/valve issue that ford has recalled focus vehicles on, but not my vehicle specifically.

Car stalled while driving. there is a current recall for valve issues but does not cover my vehicle. tank was less than half full, no engine malfunction light, but it appears not to be working.

My 2016 ford focus was serviced for fuel system recall 18s32 on july 12,2019. a code was reprogrammed. this did not fix the problem of the engine sporadically stalling and it still poses a safety risk. returned to ford dealership on 09/03/2019. car was still stalling and "check engine light" was on. the check engine light coming on after the powertrain control module had been reprogrammed is a direct indication fuel tank is damaged -ford recall 19s22, with a fuel tank deformity which needs to be replaced to correct the safety issue. ford dealership power ford in albuquerque,nm refused to do the cpv replacement, carbon canister replacement, fuel delivery module and fuel tank replacement as recall 19s22 clearly states is the responsibility of ford motor company to due because of serious safety concerns.multiple online consumer reports state this that if it is serviced for the recall and then check engine light comes on it is a direct indication it needs to be fixed by ford motor company because of faulty manufacturing- which damages the gas tank(fuel tank deformity. it is their obligation to fix the vehicle before an accident does happen. passengers in the car daily are a 10 month old and 2 year old , who could be gravely injured because of the car stalling-especially on the busy freeway the car travels everyday..

Was driving to work when my car cut off on me in the middle of the street.i had at least 20 miles to empty at least that's what my car said. i had it pushed it to the gas station and put 10 dollars in it it crunk up but it said 0 miles to empty i put another 5 totaling 15 before it registered after i turned the car off to see if it would reset. when it first cut off and i tried to put it in neutral it would not go in neutral. i turned it to on and pushed the brake and it wouldn't do anything for about 5 minutes it has cut off on me once before while i was headed to the gas station and even then it said 12 miles to empty and i was less than 2 from the gas station.

Car stalled on a sunday while driving 70 mph on the highway. had to have it towed at my own expense over 80 miles to my home. the next day attempted to drive it to dealership when it stalled again while at 40mph. had samaritan assistance to push it out of the road and had to push it to the nearest lot in the rain as the street had no shoulder. that lot happened to house a repair shop. repair shop determined issue was under warranty and called ford to confirm however ford denied. when i called and spoke to a different service rep was told the issue is actually under recall (but also warranty) but only ford can provide recall remedy without incurring charges so i could bring it to ford to have it completed. so i towed the focus to the dealership at my own expense. i was informed diagnostics would be performed in approximately 2 weeks. when i inquired about a loaner vehicle was given 1800 number to ford care. i called 3 other ford dealerships to ask their waiting period for diagnostics and found one that stated by the end of the week (today is tuesday). i ultimately had my vehicle towed to that location. once off the shuttle and back home, i contacted ford care and was referred back to the dealership regarding a loaner vehicle and even reimbursement for the tow charges i incurred. i am without a vehicle until repairs can be completed with 3 tow charges on my bank account.

The vehicle stalled during a left turn into the right lane of oncoming traffic and was hit as a result. the vehicle was declared a total loss. the vehicle had been taken to ford previously due to concerns of stalling/sluggish acceleration at which time the dealer disclosed an issue was known that was most likely the cause. the dealership kept the car and performed repairs. the acceleration seemed a little better but still not right based on decades of driving experience. i think the cpv issue (18s32/18v-735) may have caused the car to stall and be hit when it would not have been hit otherwise.

Vehicle stalled in the middle of highway. vehicle stall after gas in put intontank. check engine light comes on and purge valve or vacuumed leak noted. vehicle randomly shuts off and or loses power. our car was almost hit while it stalled turning at an intersection. the transmission shutters and doesn't shift. the transmission when in drive goes in reverse and when in reverse the transmission goes in drive.

I have a 2016 ford focus and had nothing but problems with it since day one i've had the car at dealership several times for the wipers first they said can't find anything wrong next they said they adjusted the wipers then they said they changed the motor . it still stops in my view whenever it rains i told them it's still happening and i was told to change the wipers. i'm no i should not have to with a new car. one morning i get into the car and had frost on the inside of my windshield i turned the defrost on and watch my windshield crack brought to ford and they said something hit it like a rock i explained what happened but wouldn't acknowledge that there was a defect i told them that if the windshield had a solid seal i would not get frost on the inside they brushed me off. and now my car doesn't start right away and i called customer service and all they said was nothing they can do about it. i'm so frustrated with this car since day one no one at ford will help me. there are other problems like the interior lights keep going out . i'm so tired of wasting my time bringing the car to the dealership being made to feel like an idiot. ford says they pride themselves on customer service but i yet to see it as every time they treat me like i'm making things up. i want my car in safe driving condition. is that to much to ask for!!!!it shouldn't be but that's how for makes me feel..,i showed videos of windshield wipers also but i'm crazy

Recall not done i did experience the car stalling while taking off

Tl* the contact owns a 2016 ford focus. while driving 35 mph, the vehicle hesitated with force and the check engine indicator illuminated. the contact also stated that she had to refuel the vehicle more than usual. the contact pulled over, turned off and restarted the vehicle, and was able to drive home. the contact called auffenberg ford (1312 n keller dr, effingham, il 62401, (217) 342-3929) and was informed that the vin was not included in a recall; therefore, the contact would have to pay for the repairs. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 45,061.

After the original recall to repair the stuck canister purge valve my vehicles fuel gauge is not accurate i run out of gas at 1/4 tank or 135 miles to empty. when filling up on fuel my vehicle will not start properly when attempting to start the vehicle after refilling the fuel tank to full. this is not a one time issue this is a ongoing issue that happens many times a month. transmission is jerking and makes noise and the dealer tells me this is normal when i know it is not. ford has told the dealerships to tell owners of this vehicle it is normal so they are force to lie per company instructions. this vehicle and all other like it should be sent to the dealers for buy back.

Tl* the contact owns a 2016 ford focus. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline). the contact called kalispell ford at 406-755-3673 (located at 2000 rose crossing, kalispell, mt 59901) and was informed that the parts were not available. the manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. the contact stated that the vehicle tended to stall while at a stop, but would restart each time. there was no warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the failure mileage was approximately 8,000. vin tool confirms parts not available.

Sever shuddering when shifting, especially from 1st to 2nd gear; pre-shifting at low rpm's and slipping gears; stalling and near-stalling when attempting to accelerate or when on an incline; back seats come unlocked and fly forward when you brake hard- contrarily the front seats fly back when accelerating . ford demands payment for estimate/diagnostic even though they are well aware of the problems with this line of vehicle. extended warranty was offered, at a significant charge- should be free!!!. these problems have been ongoing since i initially purchased the vehicle.

Since i purchased my 2016 ford focus se the automatic transmission has been slipping, stuttering and high rpms during gear changes but will not accelerate properly. i was attempting to merge from an on-ramp onto a major highway and upon attempting to accelerate to merge the rpms were very high but the car would not accelerate. at this point i am on the highway with traffic gaining at an alarming rate which caused another vehicle to swerve to avoid hitting me from behind. this is not my first encounter with this issue but the first time i actually felt i was in a life threatening situation. this also affects my fuel economy which is a nominal issue as compared to the fact i no longer feel safe with my two children in the vehicle. step up ford before there are major accidents due to this issue.

Purchased vehicle in aug 2018. vehicle has stall on me 4 times since i had it also, went to the ford homestead dealer for recall issues but car seem to still stall. ended up taking the vehicle on 05/17/19 for an oil change and diagnostic due to the check engine came on and vehicle was taken to pep boys and was there all weekend. now i thought the repair was fixed and the was returned to me on 05/19/19 which the check engine light came back on. so now the care continue to stall.

Tl* the contact owns a 2016 ford focus. the contact stated while driving 50 mph, the check engine warning light illuminated and the vehicle hesitated. the vehicle was pulled off the roadway and turned off for approximately 10 minutes before it was restarted. the contact was concerned that the failure was related to nhtsa campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline). the vehicle was taken to healey ford lincoln located at 2528 ny-17m, goshen, ny 10924, (845) 291-1998, to be diagnosed. the contact was unable to recall the part that needed to be replaced. the vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where the contact was informed that the fuel system needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 80,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2016 ford focus. the contact received a recall notice for nhtsa campaign number: 18v350000 (fuel system, gasoline). the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. while driving at low speeds, the vehicle stalled and the check engine indicator illuminated. the vehicle was towed to parks ford lincoln of gainesville (3333 n main st, gainesville, fl 32609, (352) 372-4251) where the contact was informed that the failure was related to the recall and that the parts were not available to repair the vehicle. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that there was no loaner vehicle option. the failure mileage was approximately 63,000.

The fuel line that connects to the gas tank is leaking and i cant get the the car to start even thought it's at 5 mile last time i was able to turn my car on when i was parked in my barracks parking lot

My check engine came on and now my car lost all power and every time i put my foot on the gas it acts like it's about to stall out i'm worried for my safety because this is just the first day and my vehicle is already acting up i called my dealership no answer i'm very upset if i die because of you're company and dealership failure better believe my family will sue especially since i've tried to contact my dealer multiple times

Takata recall. when you press the gas pedal the engine stalls & starts to shake. it happens in the street every time you press the gas pedal after you break on a red light or stop sign.

The vehicle shuts down, while coming to a stop. the message in the window reads, put the car in park in restart the vehicle. this has happened on four occasions. most recently three weeks after servicing for the same problem. on this most recent occasion, sunday, march 31st., i stopped to put the car in reverse to park and begin to move the vehicle shut down. i was in front of my home parking.

The transmission of this vehicle has had a consistent problem of being erratic and requires constant very particular pressure on the gas pedal to avoid shuddering and shaking when accelerating which when it happens makes the car very difficult to safely control in any type of traffic since other drivers do not anticipate the lurching and staggering from the car unless they happen to note the ford emblem and are aware of the safety problems facing all focus drivers of the affected models. i have found the issues manageable by assertive manipulation of the gas pedal during acceleration and gentle and gradual application of the brakes when possible to offset the dangerously inconsistent acceleration and the tendency for car to misshift when slowing down. i'm absolutely appalled to discover that this is not an isolated situation but is typical of most if not all 2012-2016 it is inconceivable to me that ford was aware of this life threatening malfunction in their products and instead of solving or addressing it sold cars to unsuspecting public on the basis of the their good name and reputation as a quality american manufacturer. i also had to have the car serviced at hertich ford of milford delaware for a separate issue involving fuel system sensors which caused the fuel gage to be inaccurate and caused my vehicle to stall several times due to a vacuum created in the gas tank, which was fixed by the recall work but again caused a potentially dangerous situation for myself and passengers. apparently there is another recall for the fuel system error which i have not been able to schedule as yet. to whom it may concern and anyone reading this do yourself a favor and buy chevrolet or toyota two brands i can highly recommend. thanks

Took focus to dealer and dealer said he can't fix due to parts being on back order for a month. however, this is a safety risk " and engine stall while driving without warning or without ability to restart can increase risk of crash". stuck canister purge valve. depending on where this could happen, this could result in death. this needs fixed immediately. recall on ford focus 18v735 chapman ford of horsham, 1100 easton rd, horsham, pa 19044. we have paperwork.

My auto is on a re-call for gas tank issues they told me parts for auto would be 15 days meanwhile my auto has been stalling not starting gas smell coming from the rear of auto ford says its not there problem to rent a auto for use they said fill the car with gas i did that it is worst then before the date is just one of many dates since recall

Notified of recall (nhtsa recall 18v-735) by ford on dec. 10, 2018, that parts would be available in first quarter of 2019, but i have yet to be notified that the parts are available, and so i am still driving an apparently dangerous car.

Tl* the contact owns a 2016 ford focus. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. peru ford (800 n broadway, peru, in 46970, (765) 472-3673) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. the manufacturer was not notified. the contact had not experienced a failure. vin tool confirms parts not available.

On 10/27/2018 approximately 1330 after making a right turn onto 29 in warrenton headed towards culpeper going about 45mph the car sputtered and stalled. took 3 times to get the vehicle restarted. then did it again after making a left onto 17 in bealeton. the vehicle would get up to about 20 mph and just stall in traffic. this is becoming a major safety issue especially having my 12 year old in the vehicle with me.

Vehicle fuel gauge is off by 50 miles + - 10 miles. vehicle stalls after filling fuel take to full level. engine check light stays on solid after the first time the vehicle ran out of gas. transmission is loud and grinds when making turns and has a jerking motion when increasing and decreasing speed.

Tl* the contact owns a 2016 ford focus. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline). the contact stated that she did not receive a second notice regarding part availability. the dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. the contact had not experienced a failure. vin tool confirms parts not available.

Approximately at 30000 miles while still under warranty i brought the vehicle to sheehy of warrenton because while on rte 28 in sterling va the vehicle was intermittently jerking sputtering and stalling. dealer stated they couldn't find any issues because no code was present. on 10/18/18 i brought the car in again because the car stalled multiple times while in motion. they stated that code says low fuel pressure sensor and they would have to replace that first to see. i noticed today there are recalls for the exact issue i'm having but recalls are only on the 2.0 model mine is the 1.0.

Tl* the contact owns a 2016 ford focus. the contact stated that the transmission was malfunctioning. the dealer (kearny pearson ford, 7303 clairemont mesa blvd, san diego, ca 92111, (858) 560-5544) repaired the transmission control module back in october of 2018, but the vehicle stalled in the middle of the road. the contact was able to slowly pull the vehicle over to the side of the road. the vehicle was towed back to the dealer. the contact received a recall notice for nhtsa campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline) after the vehicle was repaired in october. the failure mileage was 97,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2016 ford focus. the contact stated that the recall notice for nhtsa campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system) was received in october of 2018. after contacting the dealer (north side ford, 12300 us hwy 281 north, san antonio, tx), the contact was informed that the parts needed to repair the defect were not available. the manufacturer was not notified. the contact had not experienced a failure.

Inaccurate fuel gauge. first issue - my car would be reading that i had (example) 15 miles until empty and really i had 0 miles until empty. ran out of gas twice because of this issue. second issue - my car will stall out in the middle of driving/accelerating at any given time. much worse when i have less than a half/quarter tank. my car will still stall even when i do have more than a half tank of gas. most times, my car will not restart after the stall. this issue is more likely to happen as soon as i turn the car on, at a dead stop then about to accelerate, in stop and go traffic. i bought the car in june of 2018 and started to notice the fuel tank issue pretty quickly. the stalling out issue started to happen shortly after. i did receive a recall notice from ford.

My car has had transmission problems since 20k & has run out of gas on me twice & left me stranded on the side of the road. clutch & several sylenoids have been replaced several times. i have reatained a lawyer for help with my issues with this car.

I was notified that my car has been recalled. i waited a few months for the dealership to call me to let me know when i can bring my car in. i decided to take it upon myself to reach out to them and was told to bring it in. that being said, i had rescheduled my appointment several times (because life happens). i reached out again to reschedule and did not recieve a response. i reached out the lhm customer service, they said someone will be contacting me but never did. i feel like i am being ignored, and i want this car fixed or out of my lease. my car vibrates since i bought it, and now it kind of shakes when i do a turn.

This is in regards to the recall on the stuck canister purge valve (cpv) within the fuel vapor system (manufacturer recall number18s32 nhtsa recall number18v735). there is still no resolution and my car has stall multiple times while driving. it is only a matter of time before an accident occurs.
