The issue i have is with communication from the manufacturer. ford has complied with the law and sent me a hard copy letter in the mail. however, their online communication is not as good and is downright misleading. while logged into their website, you can access a recall portal and see if your vehicle has any open recalls. currently, the information on this part of their website is false. as you can see from the first photo, the ford website claims i have no open recalls. this information is not correct and is contradicted by ford's own hard copy letter they mailed to me. in the second photo you can see that the nhtsa website also contradicts the ford website. considering that most people use online and digital services more frequently than physical mail, it is very importation this information is up-to-date. as i said before, ford did comply with the law by sending me a letter in the mail. however, they failed to keep with the spirit of the law by not updating their website. this may be an attempt to purposefully mislead consumers into thinking there is nothing wrong with their vehicle. this type of incorrect information, whether done intentionally or incompetently, is dangerous to the public. regulations should be modernized to require manufacturers to keep their digital and online information as up-to-date as their hard copy mailings. thank you.
Recall 18s32 was done 08/2019 no problem found 12/2019 fuel tank become deformed ford will not honor the recall
My daughter has a used 2012 ford focus that has an outstanding recall for cpv problems. she has had two experiences where the vehicle loses power and she's unable to accelerate no matter how far she presses the gas pedal. last week, 1/15/2019 the same issue happened on the freeway, while in motion, going approximately 65mph. very dangerous! especially with fast moving traffic. she managed to get off the freeway and coast into a parking lot. we had the car towed to camelback ford and we explained the situation and that after some research found there is an open recall on her car for a malfunctioning part/s that can cause the exact problems she's experiencing. they say okay, we'll get on it. well, they called us today, 1/20/2020, a whole 5 days later, to say that she needs a new battery and other things like a wheel alignment and bearing replaced. no mention of the recall repair being done. when asked they said they couldn't repair because they were unable to replicate the problem or find a code for it. so needless to say, she's been without her car for 5 days and the recall repair wasn't even done, and they come at use for other "repairs". right now we are more concerned for the safety aspect of the car stalling out while in motion. after chatting with a ford customer service rep., who by the way says repairs should be done whether the issue is detectable or not, we have to take it to a second dealer and hope they make the necessary repairs. we can do a wheel bearings and alignment once the more critical safety repairs are done.
On january 3, 2020 i had my car serviced by beau townsend ford in vandalia, oh for recall number 18v735000. they replaced the canister purge valve. on january 10, 2020; while driving on the highway to nashville, tn my car stalled out which almost caused an accident. i then had to call for a tow truck to tow the car to my friends house. i then call the ford company who told me to take the car to wyatt johnson in nashville, tn to be repaired. i had to pay for a tow to that dealership and upon inspection; they stated that the fuel tank, evap canister and fuel pump needed to be replaced and they are charging me $1366 to complete the work.
My wife received a recall notice notice (19s22) in january 2019. concerned, she took the vehicle in for inspection on 1/10/19 to prater ford even though the vehicle was not experiencing any issue at the time. prater for said nothing was wrong but insisted on reprogramming the pcm. as of recently, we are experiencing near stall during driving and trouble cranking and remaining cranked when refueling. today (1/2/20) we tool the vehicle to prater for inspection under the recal. they confirmed the code p1450 (canister purge valve) was infact the problem related to the recal, however, they refused to perform the work because ford denied their repair order request (#093013) citing the recall had already previously been servied. i called ford and they confirmed. therefore, when work wasn't needed they "serviced" the vehicle, however, when the real issue presented itself they refuse to repair the problem. we are concerned for the safety of the occupants, including our two children, as the problem can increase the risk of a crash. also troubling, is ford and the dealerships shady attempt to circumnavigate the recall by claiming work was done though it wasn't needed. we are hoping you can help or advise us in the matter.
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford focus. the contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled without warning. the vehicle was taken to (al packer lincoln 1550 n military trl, west palm beach, fl 33409) where the vehicle was partially repaired under warranty. the contact was informed that the vehicle was over the mileage for the completion, because the vehicle had exceeded 100,000 miles. the manufacturer was notified of the failure however, the dealer information was confirmed. the contact referenced the failure to nhtsa campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline). the approximate failure was 132,000.
Vehicle would lose motive power in long turning off/on ramps when fuel level got down to just above a 1/4 tank at first then as time progressed the same issue would occur in highway traffic. narrowly avoided accidents on several occasions due to this. vehicle never threw a code for anything, it would just stop running. i took vehicle in to dealer to perform manufacturer recall 18s32, they just reporgrammed it and gave it back. problem got better at first but did not go away. since the recall work another recall has come out and the level of fuel i need went from above 1/4 to above 1/2 a tank of fuel. when the fuel gauge reads 1/2 a tank the vehicle will take between 7 and 8 gallons of gas (the fuel levels on the gauge are wrong) this morning i lost motive power on the highway in traffic at low speeds with a full tank of fuel and it finally threw the code p00c6 twice, which after looking it up i identified this to be something along the lines of insufficient fuel pressure at the fuel rail. i plan on turning the car in to have the second recall for this issue performed in the next few days and, according to the recall from ford, this should constitute replacement of several components in the fuel system. i want this on record before taking the vehicle in. this issue has been ongoing and has made me late for and miss work on several occasions.
The car stalled while driving. the engine shut off and unable to restart. had it towed to autonation in tustin and are refusing to fix it because part of the power module is broken. they are trying to say it has been tampered with. reprogramming the power module is part of the recall. we have been without a vehicle for 3 weeks now, as this happened on 11/22. it stopped while driving on the highway which could have caused an accident. the car is not drivable.
While in columbus, ohio, caught in heavy traffic, uphill, a red "transmission malfunction!" light went on, and the car immediately started shuddering and lurching forward. i was only going 5 - 10 mph in traffic, but the car was also shaking and when i came to a full stop the rpms would go up and down
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford focus. while the contact's granddaughter was driving 55 mph, the accelerator pedal was depressed, but failed to respond. in addition, the check engine warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was taken to watermark nissan of marion (3209 banterra drive, marion, il 62959) where it was determined that the power train control module needed to be replaced. the contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 18v735000 (engine), but the failure recurred. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 100,000.
Car shutters and stalls. not much power. had tcm repaired and the dual clutch multiple times.
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford focus. while driving approximately 20 mph, the power steering suddenly failed. the contact was able to pull into a parking lot and park the vehicle. the contact stated that the vehicle remained in the parking lot. in order to move it, the vehicle would need to be towed. the contact called a certified mechanic who informed the contact that the repair was no longer covered under warranty. the contact was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the issue and referred the contact to the dealer. the dealer was not contacted. the contact stated that the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline); however, the part for the recall repair was unavailable. while the vehicle was stopped at a stop sign, the contact noticed a fuel odor. the contact called bob tomes ford (located at 950 s central expy, mckinney, tx 75070, 214-544-5000) and was informed that the part for the repair was not available. the manufacturer was not contacted regarding the recall. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the approximate failure mileage was 113,673.
After going to my ford dealer for the last 2 recalls that effect fuel system (last one was recall #19s22) my car was ok for a few months. now that temps have dropped below 50 the same thing is happening. when accelerating, the car shakes and sputters as it tries to go and i get about 18mpg instead of my usual 27mpg.
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford focus. while driving approximately 60-65 mph, the check engine warning indicator illuminated and the vehicle stalled. the contact was unable to restart the vehicle. the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. the contact was informed that the vehicle was out of fuel even though the fuel gauge read 1/4 tank of fuel. the contact was also informed that the fuel tank was deformed. the vehicle was not repaired. liberty ford parma heights (6600 pearl rd, parma heights, oh 44130, (440) 888-2600) was notified of the failure via phone and stated that the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline). the manufacturer was informed of the failure and provided case number: cas-24594302. the approximate failure mileage was 90,000. the vin was not available.
My purge valve is not working properly which has thrown my engine light to come on and when i put gas in it and start it up it stalls out on me.
Recall 18s32. brought the vehicle in to dealership on 9-8-19 when i received the recall notice. i was told that software needed to be updated. at that point, we had not experienced any of the symptoms of the recall. i was told that there was a check to see if the software needed to be updated and it did not. on 10-9-19 while my daughter was driving the vehicle, the gas gauge went up to full (it was only 1/2 full) check engine light was on (it has consistently been on for weeks) and most importantly and most frightening is the vehicle completely shut off while she was driving 65 mph on a highway. all of these things that occured are directly what the recall is for. although my daughter was driving on a hightway , thankfully she was not hit or killed by other drivers and did not crash the vehicle. now because the vehicle was initially brought in before any symptoms and ford determined no software update was needed, they are denying to replace the canister purge valve which is what we were told by the dealership needed to be done. the vehicle cannot be driven now because of the fear of putting whomever drives it in danger. not only is this is unacceptable but i am very frustrated and feel that this safety issue should be addressed by ford immediately. there is also a recall (recall #19s22) stating dealers will inspect and replace the carbon canister, fuel tank and fuel delivery module as necessary. i have tried to get this addressed not only through ford's customer service directly but by speaking to the service manager at the dealership where the car was bought and serviced. seems like this is not an urgent matter for anyone but us. i do have a case number that was assigned by ford which is: cas-24503630-j8w6y7.
On oct.4, 2019, our 2012 focus suddenly had a hard start and smelt of gas fumes in car. took car in and had repair done which consisted of sender(bv6z-9h307-av) and gasket(4l3z-9276-aa) and paid out of pocket. just under 2 years ago, had an issue where fuel tank got sucked up. tank(bv6z-9002-e) was replaced along with same sender and gasket as listed above plus tube as(bv6z-9d289-b) paid out of pocket in dec. 2017 but was just recently reimbursed due to a recall. i hope this will not be a continuing repair we need to do every couple of years since a recall 19s22 was issued .
My car turns off while driving
After being stopped at a traffic light on the highway, my vehicle began acting as if it did not want to get up to speed and would not go above 35mph without dramatically jolting forward. it did this a couple of times before swerving a bit and finally stalling completely, pressing the gas would do nothing to get the car to speed up. i did manage to get it to a side road before having it towed to the dealer.
Nhtsa safety recall notice 18s32/nhtsa recall 18v-735 i tried to take my car into the local pocatello, idaho 83201 dealer courtesy ford to get these defective parts replaced. they had my car for 5hrs, just started to reprogram the computer system and refused to replace the parts. i had approx. 1yr ago a stall problem when i was driving this car from pocatello to burley approx. 120mi. the car functioned fine on the way to burley but stalled out when driving back the 120mi from burley to pocatello. the service department at the local for dealership told me i had to bring my car in for an inspection to determine if i had a problem covered by the recall. after 5hrs of waiting and several calls to the dealership, i went and picked up my car. they said they were in the process of reprogramming my car. why would they do this. the recall says the defective parts should be replaced and the system updated. i believe this dealership is trying to cheat me. i don't know what they did to my car. they refused to fix this.
19s22 recall. i was driving home from port huron to clinton township. my car went from 70 mph hour on the freeway to 35 mph. absolutely no warning. i cannot accelerate more than 35 mph. the very next morning i brought my car into the ford dealership at 9 mile in harper because the same problem had occurred months before in may. i told her that same thing happened before my car is not accelerating my rpm shot up and i cannot go anywhere so she asked me to bring it in i did i asked her about the outstanding recall on the car she told me that her guys forgot to look at it. ford had my car for a week i lost my job and i also do lift on the side so i'm out $1200 just in the week. they called me, and said itll cost around $2k for the clutch system. that's funny because i don't use the manual side of the car but apparently it's built into the transmission. so again i asked about the recall. it clearly states on your website that if ford has to do the recall and there's any other repairs that need to be done with for the cause of all of this that the parts and labor are free. they charged my dad's credit card $1938.78. i asked her again but there was a recall down on the car she said oh well we did the recall and that was for the purge valve i said ok well where is that located she told me was in the engine so you didn't do the recall 1st you just went straight for the clutch? then you're telling me that had nothing to do with it well how do we know now after he took the 2000 and even admitted that you didn't do the recall 1st gear went straight to the clutch system so if you wouldn't did the recall 1st i wouldn't have been out $2000 if you just did your job. then i pick up the car. and the same thing happened again, and the check engine light came on. so again i had to drop it off.
Still having issues with the transmission, shuddering in lower gears, jerks and lunges. sometimes the rpm's fluctuate. also need to bring back in for service for the fuel gauge.
Canister purge valve recall (cpv) and prior powertrain and pcm recall issues. history involving powertrain, pcm and cpv. check engine light (cel) came on a few years ago and the car could not restart. could have had an accident. recently, in the summer 2019, cel on and gave a code about faulty catalytic converter when i spent $106 at green ford to read and diagnosis the code. the light went on and off and on september 8, 2019, the car stalled and/or would not start back up many times when the cel was on. the car would not crank the next morning, twice, on the way to green ford, and waiting on recall to be performed. the car has 151,000 miles and is a one owner vehicle. the powertrain, pcm and this current issue has been the only issues that seems to be connected.
My check engingie light came on,took it to mechanic,he said it was a safety recall on the evaporative emissions purge valve, evaporative emissions canister, fuel pump module, fuel tank. heartland forf in heber springs ark.,said they coded this car last december and now all of this is wrong with the car.what can i do? i can't pay for this and now its wrong with my car! it was a recall and nothing has been fixed on my car but the door latches. *js
We purchased a 2012 focus for our 18 year old daughter as her first car. the check engine light is illuminated and the car shudders as you accelerate like its shifting gears but it's a very aggressive jerk. once it reaches certain speed it drives smoothly but if you stop at a red light or stop sign and accelerate again it does the same thing. the fault code for the check engine light states it's a catalytic converter problem. i did some online research and found a recall for what i thought was the cause of the issue (recall 18s32). took it into the dealership to have the recall repaired and they reset the pcm but tech told me the gas tank "passed inspection" so no further repairs were needed. however, the car still shudders at acceleration. i was told i'd have to pay $135 for them to diagnose the problem. i am so afraid for my daughter who is a fairly new driver to be driving this unsafe vehicle. i will be searching for a class action lawsuit as i've read several complaints of the same issue on this website. i don't feel comfortable selling this car to anyone else with these problems either. ford really needs to rectify this problem immediately before someone gets hurt or worse, dies! the car has 101,000 miles on it.
My car has, since the time i bought it, stuttered randomly when accelerating. this has caused issues where merging into traffic from a stop can be unreliable, causing me to fail to enter traffic at the expected speed and causing increased risk for a collision. i think it might be a transmission, since it feels like a gear is slipping. eventually, through the stuttering, i will gain enough speed to where it stops being an issue. (possibly when entering the next gear)
After purchasing the car, it stared to have transmission issues. took it to repair shop. they reworked the front end and transmission. the computers on both the front end and transmission failed to sync together. this caused a total failure of the transmission. i had the transmission replaced only to have it fail four months later. the car started to jerk, jump forward and then stopped moving. the engine was racing but the transmission did not work. i was left in the middle of a busy intersection and thankfully had people help me push it out of the road. it's back at the repair shop, again its the transmission module and transmission. !
Car will start to shudder when accelerating after coming to a stop (ex. stop sign/light). vehicle wont start after pumping gas. fuel gauge seems to be off even after a recall was done. when accelerating rpm will go up but the car wont accelerate.
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford focus. while starting the vehicle and turning on the heater, an abnormal odor of fuel was detected and the check engine indicator illuminated. the vehicle was taken to houston ford (10719 william penn hwy, huntingdon, pa 16652, (814) 643-3430) where it was diagnosed that the fuel valve needed to be reprogrammed. the vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure mileage was 71,000.
I brought my car in for the purge valve and fuel tank deformation recall. it was checked and determined to be fine; but 30-45 days after my check engine light came on and it began stalling when starting, especially after i would fill up my gas tank. the initial recall said it would replace faulty purge valves related to the recall but since my car was checked already that i had to pay for the repair. my spouse also has ford focus and his was recalled a second time for the purge valve but mine was not included in the second recall. i think it had been malfunctioning for years. after i paid for the purge valve replacement my mpg went from 26mpg to 32mpg on the same driving patterns i've always had.
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford focus. while driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle shook without warning. the failure occurred for approximately four years. the contact also stated that the vehicle was repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 19v515000 (fuel system, gasoline), but the failure continued. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 95,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford focus. whenever the contact placed fuel in the vehicle, the tank would go straight to empty. in addition, fuel would leak from the vehicle and caused it to run out of fuel. on another occasion, after the fuel tank was filled, the contact drove off and the vehicle decelerated on its own. the contact called her boyfriend to help push the vehicle to the side of the road. the vehicle was towed to the contact's home. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer and dealer were not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 152,300.
I had 2 recalls on locks and fuel pump and now today @7:00am i have transmission melfunction. i will never buy a ford again
My car was a little less than half full with gas, went to fill it up because i was traveling about 45 min away. after i filled it up, tried to start car and would not turn over. took someone else's car out of town, came back and it turned on fine. then everytime i would get gas, it would not turn over, would have to pump the gas. live where i had to park on a hill, once i tried to start the car, would not start. the gas was low, but not empty. i had enough for the car to start but it won't. saw there was a recall with these exact same symptoms but said that my vin number was not effected.
My car shutters and shakes when i'm accelerating. going from a dead stop is the worst. i've taken my car in and there is no resolution as of today. ford knows of all of these issues and knew of them before my car was manufactured. my extended warranty runs out next month and will be on the hook for any future damages to my car.
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford focus. while driving various speeds, the vehicle stalled without warning. the contact also stated that the failure was evident right after the vehicle was refueled or if the fuel in the vehicle was low. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline). the contact stated that the failure was intermittent. the dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 171,000.
Transmission shutters upon takeoff. struggles to find the right gear on takeoff and downshifting when driving. at times has failed to go into reverse when stationary or overdrive when driving. engine light goes on and then off. problem has been going on for years with only minor improvements from dealer fixes.
After receiving recall information, regarding recall 18s32, the vehicle was taken to the dealership for repair in mid-november 2018. the dealership advised that the recall was remedied. in may of 2019 the vehicle displayed signs that the issue was not resolved. for example, using excessive amounts of gasoline and emptying the tank while the gauge was showing fuel was present; also, the vehicle would stop moving while engine was still running. after being diagnosed by two different dealerships, the most present diagnosis is that recall 18s32 is the issue and now ford is refusing to fix the vehicle. the car had to be towed five hours from the location, due to safety concerns, to a dealership who diagnosed that the recall had not been resolved only to be informed that ford refused to cover the expense of the recall.
Canister purge valve was not replaced during recall. because a week after i took the car for recall, the canister purge valve was diagnosed to be faulty.
Car has pressure in fuel tank and is starting to deform. the car is also stalling every time i fill the gas tank.
Power steering assist failure warning light upon cranking the car, steering wheel impossible to turn but not locked up. car hesitates/sputters at acceleration from stop
Complaint #1 the car overheated during a trip on the highway, had to detour ...a hose was spewing water have a picture..i only had the car for 2 or 3 days!! complaint #2 very serious, while driving 65 mph on a highway. the car jerked very hard and then lost power.there was no room to pull over,it was grass and a slight ditch, late at night no street lamps...the car would not start the fuel left to e was 78 miles.i called road side assistance...semi truck swerved to miss us and every other semi and vehicle had to cross over the yellow lines to avoid smashing into the stalled car.my daughter and i sitting in the vehicle, the hour was 11:00 pm. complaint #3 the car sputters into gear taking off .. by the way it was a one lane highway. far from any town..
There was recall 18s32 issued by ford to fix fuel fuel tank purge valves. my car had stalled for this very reason and i had it towed to dealership to have fixed. picked it up and problem happened again. dealership already closed ticket. brought car back in to have resolved, they spent two weeks advocating to flord for me that the issue could be resolved by replacing fuel tank and problem was a direct relation to recall. ford denied claim and ford response to customer was to keep car half full which was a quote they made about the original recall. fuel tank needs replacement and ford is refusing to fix the recall on my car and dealership is not taking responsibility for closing the ticket and ensuring the recall was fixed. i opened a claim with ford yesterday. i don't understand as this is a safety issue and its a matter of time before it gets even worse especially when we are dealing with a serious fuel issue. ford is telling me to keep it half full just like they said with the original recall and i dont understand why they are not addressing this serious safety issue that is a direct result of the recall. i am attaching the paperwork from the dealership. please help me as ford did the same thing with the transmission recall. i brought it in and they never fixed it and refused to address it again. i'm not the only one who is in this situation and ford issues recalls and takes no responsibility with ensuring that the replacements needed are functional. i cannot afford another car and i am petrified with having a fuel issue or stalling out in a dangerous intersection that has already happened to me twice and i dont know what to do. this all happens while driving the car and it shows i have fuel but i really dont and the car will stall. my car according to the dealership needs a new fuel which is directly a result because of this recall.
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford focus. while driving, the vehicle stalled in the middle of the highway and the check engine indicator illuminated. the contact was able to coast the vehicle to the side of the road. when the vehicle was powered off and restarted, the vehicle drove normally. on another occasion, while attempting to drive the vehicle, it failed to start. the vehicle was taken to rogel ford (located at 26167 ms-27, crystal springs, ms 39059, (601) 892-3673) where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump failed and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. furthermore, the front driver side door failed to close. the vehicle was taken back to rogel ford where the door was repaired, but not diagnosed. the contact was informed by the dealer that they also reprogrammed the power train module. the contact stated that the fuel gauge would show full when it was supposed to be at half a tank. the manufacturer was notified of the failures and stated that rogel ford repaired the vehicle per nhtsa campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline). no further assistance was offered. the approximate failure mileage was 159,000.
Takata recall everytime i take off in my car it jurks all the time like it was trying to catch to move into next year it jurks as i drive down the road and when i stop at a red light ,and a stop sign it jurks and then cuts of so i have to put the car in park to keep it from cutting off i have been on the side of the road 6 times because of this problem the gas meter stop working so i never knew how much gas i had in the car now i can not even drive the car because it has gotten worse want go into gear
Fuel gauge suddenly inaccurate- showing fuller than it should be. noticed discrepancy after driving a short distance, shopped and planned to get gas on the way home. when i started the engine the gauge went from 1/2 full to 3/4 full. it remained 3/4 full with additional driving of multiple trips. i was told by the local ford dealer this was not covered under recall 18532.
11/13/17 my transmission stalled, making loud shudder noises and failed to accelerate. ford replaced the tcm and reprogrammed the clutch. there was recall for safety latches on the doors to be replaced as well. 10/24/18 vehicle started and would cut off. attempted to drive it but then the car died in the drive way. had to have car towed. replaced fuel pump module and gaskets. total of $810.96 not including towing fee. the very same night i picked my car up after it being fixed a recall was issued for fuel pump module failure. ford refused to refund my money and insisted that since the fuel pump was not affected it was not related. i had to go back to ford 10/3018 to have fuel vapor and seals replaced. so 2/3 parts needed replacing of which cost me. 5/4/19 i was driving down the road and my transmission went out. the car would not accelerate, brake or downshift. i was stuck at 60mph. i had to allow the car to coast home. had to have it towed three sepearte times during this event. my car was still under warranty and powertrain includes all internally lubed parts. ford told me that the one specific part that needed replacing inside my transmission, which is internally lubed was not covered. this repair including towing cost me $2,400.00 now there is another 2 recalls out on my very car for tcm/ transmission replace/shudder. this has been the most dangerous car i've ever owned. every time i turn around i'm shelling out hundreds and now thousands of dollars for a car i am still paying on.
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford focus. one year after the vehicle was repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline), the check engine indicator illuminated. the contact stated that the vehicle had not experienced a failure prior to the recall repair. the contact called zeigler ford plainwell at 269-685-5801 (located at 1260 m-89, plainwell, mi 49080) where the recall repair was performed. the technician informed the contact that it sounded as if the canister in the fuel tank was fractured. the technician stated that the part was already repaired per the recall and would not be covered again. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was approximately 124,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford focus. the contact stated that after the vehicle was repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline), the check engine warning indicator illuminated. bird kultgen ford (1701 w loop 340, waco, tx 76712, (254) 666-2473) performed the recall repair. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired a second time. the manufacturer was notified. the failure mileage was 100,000.
Takata recall i noticed that this vehicle "chugs" when it is sitting idle, and that sometimes it feels as if it wants to stall while idling. there is already a recall out for this issue but i have not been informed of it. it says that 10/22/2018 there was a recall for this issue. onto the next issue, without warning my vehicle began to shake (this car is my daily driver) and then i began to hear whining whenever i would turn! help!
