Problems with 2014 Ford Fiesta ENGINE

On average, the 2014 Ford Fiesta starts to “feel” problems with the ENGINE and its various aspects after 47 152 miles.

Recently reported ENGINE problems on 2014 Ford Fiesta

Engine failure while driving. due to defective material or bad design of semi rigid coolant hose allowed system to boil out coolant slowly and damage engine by the time any temperature indication, and if gauge not noticed a right time, coolant boils out leaving the temp senor in air, that doesn't show as over temperature. exactly as described in the following link from ford's uk web, same engine and coolant system: https://www.ford.co.uk/owner/resources-and-support/faqs (scroll down to see the "ecoboost 1.0 engine issues) dealer determined entire engine must be replaced. can only talk to ford customer care who only take info and send on. dealer says they can only do the same, ford told dealer since i'm "not original owner" they won't do anything. replacement part exactly the same design and material. many have had this issue. this is a defective product and remedy should not be contingent on owner, it is the product that needs fixing regardless of who owns it. *dl

I was driving my car home from work and my engine temperature light came on. the car lost all power and lost all coolant with no apparent leaks. we filled up the coolant twice and within minutes it had all disappeared.

Automatic transmissions. clutch shudder slow acceleration ford dealership in eldorado serviced it but the problem still exist

Vehicle caught on fire underneath engine area, unsure why as of now but do have fire report. bought vehicle saturday and by monday it was on fire.oil was spilling out of bottom.

I had a recall i had my car taken to dealership in eldorado arkansas they charge me $440 and replaced a cooling fan that i had no problems with my car getting hot. a few weeks later i had recall tcm and later clutch shudder, after the last recall my car still having slow acceleration, it hesitates even worse

My car was idling very rough at start, and was misfiring severely. no check engine lights were coming on. the problem would subside after driving for a couple of minutes, but if the car sat and was allowed to cool for any period of time, the problem would return. i immediately took it to a service center at which point the car the car would not start anymore. i went to start the car in the parking lot and it would turn over but never fire and start. after investigation the shop found the cylinder head had cracked and my spark plugs & cylinders were all full of coolant due to a leak. after minimal research i found this is a known issue of ford ecoboost engines, and there was a nationwide recall in the uk due to this issue causing cars to combust into flames while driving. however, when i contacted ford they told me there was no recall in effect for the same cars in the united states. my car is less than 5 years old and has a catastrophic engine failure that will require a complete rebuild, and could have caused a fire in the engine compartment if i did not immediately take it for service. the shop is building a quote for me that i will upload once available.

While driving the temperature was at the highest level without any warning from the sensors. i turned around and went home and let it sit for a few days. car would not start. towed it to the dealership and they said the coolant leaked into the cylinder head and i would need a new engine. i have read other accounts where car stalled or caught on fire. this has had more attention in the uk and ford is doing something about it without issuing a recall but not doing here in the us.

Saturdat july 30, 2019my vehicle overheated.vehicle was taken in for cooling maintenance. radiator thermostat and cooling reservoir was checked. i was advised to monitor the coolant level. on aigust 10, 2019 while driving 75 mph, the temperature gauge displayed "overheating". i pulled over and opened the hood. when i open the hood the coolant was boiling. i waited 20 mins for the boiling to subside. i slowly removed the cap and the coolant level started to rise which was the same issue as before.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford fiesta. while driving, the vehicle was leaking coolant. the vehicle was taken to donley ford-lincoln of ashland (1641 claremont ave, ashland, oh 44805, (419) 281-3673) and they repaired the hose that was leaking the coolant. fifteen minutes after leaving the dealer, the temperature gauge illuminated again and the contact had to pull over from the highway. the vehicle was towed back to the dealer and they found a crack in the engine that caused the failure. the dealer stated that the only remedy was to install a new engine and the repair cost was quoted at $5,000. the vehicle's extended warranty expired at 100,000 miles. the failure mileage was 107,000.

Takata recall my a/c started to fail with no warning. after putting my car in park, smoke started to rise from the roof and a dark color liquid (perhaps oil) started to leak from underneath the car. i took the vehicle into the ford dealership, and they concluded the coolant was low and it might have caught contact with the engine, causing it to smoke. this initial conclusion from the ford dealership than led to them claiming; the tubes had a hole, the fan needed to be replaced, and the belt was heat damaged. i purchased the vehicle in cash from the ford dealership as used, but a "ford certified" car; meaning it went through a rigorous 172 point inspection where they examine the cars coolant, engine, transmission, breaks, etc. however, this is far from the truth because months after purchasing my ford certified vehicle the transmission blew out and ford had to replace/fix it for free. i've only owned the car for a year and a half, and i've already have had two major car problems! i requested for a buyback and ford says they aren't able to do so. i am frustrated that i paid for this ford certified vehicle in cash, just to be duped. my make and model has been reported to have both coolant and transmission problems, i believe my car has both these issues. in conclusion, i have been sold a vehicle that is falsely advertised and a danger on the road, with little to no help from the ford dealership.

2014 ford fiesta 47,000 miles now not only has a transmission problem but suddenly a leaking water pump. according to several car sites, there was a class action lawsuit against ford for the water pump leak. i just got off the phone from their corporate office and they are claiming that too bad, i'm out of luck and will have to pay $724 out of pocket to get it fixed. this car has had too many recalls and it was barely driven to have this problem. ford needs to pay up and make better cars. this is unacceptable. they have lost a customer for life.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford fiesta. the contact stated that the coolant system on the engine failed several times. also, while driving 70 mph, the vehicle began to lose power and stalled without warning. on another occasion, while exiting the highway, the engine completely failed. the vehicle was towed to the contact's home. when the failure initially occurred, the contact took the vehicle to bob davidson ford lincoln (1845 e joppa rd, baltimore, md 21234, 410-661-6400) where it was diagnosed that the head gasket was defective and a new engine was needed. the contact purchased a used engine and performed the repair on his own. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered no assistance. the contact was also informed that the vehicle was not included in a recall. the vehicle was not repaired for the most recent failure. the failure mileage was unknown.

Car has been jumping since i got it in 2016, the place i got it from said it was normal and now the engine light and transmission light is on

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford fiesta. the contact stated that the check engine and check oil warning indicators flashed intermittently. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was deemed unsafe to drive. the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign numbers: 17v209000 (engine and engine cooling) and 15v005000 (fuel system, gasoline). the manufacturer was notified. the dealer was not contacted. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 48,101.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford fiesta. while driving, the vehicle overheated and smoke was present coming from the exhaust. the vehicle was towed to beau towsend ford (1020 w. national rd, vandalia, oh) where it was diagnosed that the engine cylinder malfunctioned. the vehicle was not repaired. the contact indicated that the vehicle experienced the same failure and was repaired in 2017. the failure mileage was unknown.

The vehicle stalls while driving or turning and the transmission warning keeps coming up on the dashboard also it has made the engine indicator stay on. when the car is parked and on it seems it has no issues then when you take it out of park it starts stalling immediately.

After filling the car with fuel, car tries to stall and drop rpm's while idling. car stalled twice while rolling to a red light after filling up. problem goes away after 10-15 minutes of driving. rpm while idling is highly unpredictable after filling up.

Ford is saying that they have the parts to cover this recall, but they are on backorder and hard to get, and the dealers do not receive adequate parts to do the job, nor are they getting the proper instructions or training to do the job. my car has been in for 25 days, on a job that is supposed to take 5 hours, and there is no word on when or if it will ever be completed.

I was driving and my door flew open. i've owned the car 4 years. i've had 2 transmission clutches replaced, 2 sync systems replaced, there have been other parts but i don't have that info at the moment. there have been 8-9 parts in total. some of the recalls i have researched were before i was sold the car. i have contacted ford motor company and was told if i didn't like it, don't buy another ford. i just had the latest transmission clutch and sync replaced a few months ago and asked about any current recalls and was told none at the moment. i had my warning light sensor checked last month because it came on while i was driving. i was told nothing was found and they reset the light. it came back on. still nothing found. i have contacted them repeatedly only to receive no help. these cars should've never been sold like this much less allowed to remain on the road!

Low coolant level came on (where did it go?) filled up coolant. still low. car wouldn't start. towed to dealer and they said "found #1 cylinder has no compression. removed spark plugs, wet with coolant. bore scoped cylinder, found wet" they say i need new engine (with a $4800 quote). why did coolant all of the sudden leak into engine without warning? car was in motion.

Rattle in transmission when excellerating from 10-30 miles an hour. have had it in shop and they tell me its in the transmission and that the car has a lot of plastic parts that may cause the rattle, but no fix? they could not tell me if this was dangerous or not?? sometimes it is very loud. city street driving, some freeway, and turning. ck'd for recalls, found none. this is on going, everyday.

I bought this ford fiesta with the 1.0l ecoboost new. all maintenance for this car is uptodate no mechanical problems with the engine until oct 10, 2017. i noticed the coolant level was well below the min. line of the coolant reservoir almost below the turbo coolant line in the tank. i immediately found some approved coolant and added it until the max. line. there were no warning lights and the car didn't overheat the day before. i checked the coolant level 3 days later and found that it was halfway between the two lines on the tank. i filled it up to the max. line. i checked it again on sat. morning of oct. 21st. it had dropped to the min. line. i thought this was a definite problem. i checked over the hoses and looked over the engine block, the intercooler, and what i could of the radiator, but i didn't see signs of coolant leaking. in less than two weeks i put 3/4 of a jug of coolant into my car and it only had about 36000 miles on it. i brought it to a local ford dealer on sun oct. 22. and the techs did a diagnostic and pressure test on mon. he called me to say they couldn't find anything wrong. i told him of the amount of coolant so he thought to recheck. the dealer did a total of 3 pressure checks on the car with no leaks. i asked if he could check the exhaust for coolant out the tail pipe. he said that if it was doing that the car would be running rough but it ran fine. i'm picking the car back up since he said they couldn't do anything more. it doesn't make sense, where did all the coolant go? is my car going to overheat and do something like the other ecoboost engine problems, including engine fires?

Cooling system fails on the car without warning. the temperature gauge and over temperature warning light do not indicate / come on until the engine fails and the vehicle looses power. i have had to replace the engine two times. each time there was no indication of low coolant or overheating condition. my car was at highway speed and lost power and shut off within seconds leaving no time to safely pull off the road. both times i was on a state highway with little to no berm.

Awhile back my car ran hot. i went to the store and bought some coolant to put in it and it was fine. later on down the road maybe 3 months ago i noticed that my car ran hot and i thought that it was due to the a.c. running so from that point on i never ran the air. so appropriately 3 weeks ago my husband went to the hospital and when he got the car valet had the air running and from that day it continued to run hot. i allowed it to cool, added coolant and it didn't help. my car proceeded not to crank. i got it towed to a mechanic and he said that i had blown a head gasket. from there i towed it to a local ford dealership where they did a full diagnostic and they proceeded to tell me that i've blown and head gasket and that the cylinder walls are damaged as well and they recommend me replacing the engine which would cost roughly $8000

1.0 liter ecoboost engine will overheat without warning and catostophic engine failure will result. the coolant temperature and warning lights do not provide any early warning. the engine looses power / fails and only then do the warning lights come on. i was driving up a hill and the car lost power. i downshifted and noted no warning lights or out of normal ranges. i was attempting to pull off the road and the engine lost all power and left me sit in the middle of the road. only when the engine stalled did the coolant temperature light come on. the gauges provided no early warning of a cooling issue. this is the second new engine i had to have ford install in this car and both times the exact same thing happened. cooling issue with no warning prior to catastrophic engine failure. both incidents left me sit in the road with no way to pull over. i had no warning. this is to report the latest incident.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford fiesta. while driving 80 mph, the vehicle stalled and the immobilizer malfunction warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was towed to stivers ford lincoln (4000 eastern blvd, montgomery, al 36116) where it was diagnosed that the pcm /high speed module needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the issue and did not assist. the vin was unknown. the failure mileage was 30,000.

The car shutters when you hit the gas and it sometimes acts as if it doesn't have any power. i have taken it back to ford and they keep reset the transmission control module but then it goes right back to shuttering and not picking up speed again.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford fiesta. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17s090000 (engine and engine cooling); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. bill brown ford in livonia, michigan was made aware of the recall and stated that the parts were unavailable. the manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. the contact had not experienced a failure. vin tool confirms parts not available.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford fiesta. while operating the vehicle, the engine overheated and stalled due to coolant leaking and burning inside the engine. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the engine was permanently damaged and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 63,000. updated 06/28/17*lj updated 08/08/2017*js

Transmission control module has been a recall on my car since 3 months after my purchase. everytime i take the car in to be serviced they all say the same thing "nothing is wrong" but i have my cars vehicle health reports the past years and they all say the recall is an error my car has left me on the side of the road having to be towed, also had them suggest buying a new battery after a year is ridiculous, also the fan motor on the car has been replaced 2 times and the vehicle still overheats today as we speak. i bought this car brand new and it has been a awful worry everyday driving will it overheat or is the transmission going to go today? i believe this car has been a lemon from the day i bought it. ford has also accepted their part in the transmission by offering to extend the warranty from 36000 to 150000. they know this is a problem. ford is having me take my car to dealers all over trying to get them to fix the transmission all of the dealers say the same thing nothing is wrong. i would like the peace of mind i deserve from my new car purchase i pay my payment every month why cant i have that peace of mind? i have to leave work everytime they want me to take the car elsewhere and i bought this car for peace of mind. why is it no one wants to do anything about it. a lemon is a lemon and another vehicle should be offered or something this is not right. 2 years of this constant battle over what is wrong with the car, why have the vehicle health report option if you want me to ignore what it is telling me> i don't get it.

Vehicle overheats frequently while idling. engine coolant has been checked and topped off. fuses have been replaced.

Purchased car in june 2014 and in september 2014 i began seeing the transmission module recall every time i did a vehicle health report took it in every time the report came back, every time the ford place i bought it said they could do nonthing to help in early march the transmission completely quit and i had to have it towed only to have the ford place tell me that i had to replace the battery. the car was barely 1 1/2 years old and so i did and they said that i could keep bringing the car back but ford would not let the fix the module due to whatever. they did extend the transmission warranty from 36k to 60 k which leads me to this point i have had the car back at the dealer at least 3 more times each time i have to leave the car and it never gets fixed the milage is at 59 k now and i took it to a different dealer in another town today and they said it was fixed and i came back to work and did another vehicle health report and it is still showing as a factory recall i will upload the report to you. also so the car has had to have a new fan put on it 2 different times for overheating i cant afford to have all this work done this car has caused me more pain than i can deal with. i have tried to trade the car and am upside down i have only this vehicle and must work and have never had such horrible luck with a new car this car is the most i have ever spent almost $17000. it is not right for this to be happening. when the car broke down and the transmission would do nothing i was stranded on the highway, i have complain with ford and the dealer since i bought this car and nothing ever gets done.

Transmission shutters and stalls while driving. has been into dealership for fix, but only is temporary. shutter and stalls always come back (problem since 2014)

I leased the car through my bank on may 5th 2016 with just over 35,000 miles. two months into that the car didn't start and all electronic lights were flickering. it displayed transmission malfunction. i towed the car to a big ford repair shop. they said it needed a new transmission update and a new clutch. they took care of it. this has happened seven (7) times since i got the car may 2016. pretty much every four months. it is completely inconvenient and costly. i have also been having problems with the evap fuel components. i have a check engine light on now and it needs to be serviced. the last time i got a transmission update from ford was in march 2019. my car now barely has 66,200 miles so it's very disappointing the amount of work and transmission issues i've had to deal with. i still owe $4,800 on the car. i leased it for $12,000. i am hoping i am able to get some help or some kind of compensation for dealing with the issues for years. i traded in a good working jeep to get this car because i thought it would be good on gas and economical. this is my first ford car. i will probably never buy another ford car. i wouldn't want to get burned again. thank you for your time.

Engine light came on in the middle of traffic on span leading to the gw bridge-message stated transmission hot, turn off vehicle for 6 minutes. second message was "stop or speed-up" i had to navigate the car to the shoulder in rush hour and turn the car off. i called the dealer since it had been serviced a little over a week ago. they were suppose to address the recall items and reported transmission problem of excessive vibration of the transmission. very dangerous!!!!!

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford fiesta. while driving at 60 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. the vehicle was taken to a dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 8,500.

This 2014 ford fiesta vehicle has some major transmission issues: slipping, clunking, chugging, jerking, shuttering, and rattling when doing something as simple as pressing the gas pedal to accelerate when a traffic light turns green. this issue also occurs when i begin to come to a complete stop. i've only had the car for about five months and the issues have occurred throughout that time period. i have taken this vehicle to a ford repair shop. the mechanic completed a reprogramming of some type. he informed me that the reprogramming typically resolves the issues that this vehicle is having; but the issues still remain, in fact, it's gotten worse. the hesitation of this vehicle to accelerate leaves me feeling unsafe. motorists in passing vehicles are zooming by me as i am attempting to get this car to go. in addition, when i firmly press the gas petal, the car hesitates then begins to accelerate at a rapid speed. these issues occur while i am driving on the interstates, highways, streets, dirt roads, etc. it also does not matter if i am making a turn, shifting in drive or in reverse...the issues remain the same. ford needs to be held accountable for these issues. it is terrible that they would not be concerned about the safety of their consumers. these safety issues were not mentioned on the carfax report. if they had been then i would not have purchased this vehicle.

I was trying to merge on to the highway after stopping at a gas station. the car was unable to shift gears and speed up. it was moderately to severely shaking and shuddering. because the car was unable to speed up in time i was forced off the road by the on coming traffic onto the the shoulder/grass area, with the other car needing to drive around me. this has been an issue since we purchased the car. the clutch was changed in october 2014 as per dealer, but in april 2015 same issues began developing. this has been the 3rd near accident with this car not properly accelerating on to the highway due to the shifting issue and causing a near accident. outside these incidents, the car is generally difficult to control at low speeds as its acceleration and shifting ability continuously changes after a complete stop at a light or stop sign. it's quite challenging to explain the difficulty of driving this car because i've never had a car with such a poor consistency during acceleration. some moments it will moderately jerk forward with a slight touch of the pedal (alarming especially during stop and go traffic), another moment you need to press the gas pedal all the way down to accelerate slowly on a flat/even surface and other times it moderately-severely shakes and shudders as the car tries to climb a minimal hill/elevation (all these events happen during the same 10-15 minute drive). the car drives "typically/normally" approximately 30-35% of the time, mostly after accelerating to over 20-25 miles per hour. i am highly concerned for the safety of my family when driving in this vehicle.

See attached statement word document for full details. i have owned this car for two years now, i purchased it in december of 2014. at the time i was commuting 120 miles daily to support a project. i was very early on the car began to jerk and shake. i retuned it first for a defective tire, defective backup sensor and unsafe transmission functionality. kings ford (cincinnati oh) replaced the tire (i had to pay for the tire), replaced the backup sensor (warranty) and 'reset/updated' the transmission controls firmware. after this, i retuned the vehicle multiply times for unsafe transmission functionality. after about two more times of kings ford 'resetting/updating' the transmission controls firmware they finally replaced the clutches. this was at 20,000 miles. since then i have taken the car to kings ford two more times for unsafe transmission functionality. each time they 'reset/updated' the transmission controls firmware. yesterday, i called ford roadside to pickup the car and return it to kings ford due to unsafe transmission functionality. also, i have another faulty tire and the air handing actuators in the dash are making grinding sounds. i have had multiply near accidents due to the vehicles unsafe transmission functionality. the vehicle has disabled itself in high speed interstate traffic. i had navigate the car from the fast lane to the right shoulder without any available power. i narrowly missed a set of large commercial trucks! once at the side of the road, i had to cycle the ignition before the car would respond to accelerator inputs. there have been multiply other instances where the car fails to accelerate correctly when merging into traffic'nearly being rear ended, certainly leading to a few road rage incidents.

When putting the car into reverse it would grind and kick it into netural, shifting to 2nd to 3rd the stick shift woild make me go to 5th instead then go back to 3rd. jerking when turning at an intersection making it difficult to make a safe turn.

Since i purchased the vehicle in september 2013 i have been having issues with the vehicle accelerating, stalling, and jerking forward. on thursday, january 15, 2015 at 8:00 pm i was driving and the engine light randomly turns on and the vehicle clicks on and off, the vehicle stalls and i almost hit the car in front of me. there have been several instances where i almost got into car accidents because of the transmission on this vehicle. currently going back and forth with the dealer every time who states a certain amount of variation such as shuddering and jerking is normal with these transmissions however this car is not safe. i can only hope that enough people will complain where something will be done soon to get these cars into operable driving conditions. *tr

My vehicle has been shuddering for years and until even the last day they explained that it was normal for that type of vehicle to react with the shudderings before taking off. the check engine lite keeps coming on and after driving for about a minute car does not reverse at all until cars shut off. car right now is not being driven because its been a safety hazard for some time now. this is my only way of transportation. i now have been renting cars while i still pay off this car till this day. the ford dealership has been lying to me. i hooked up the computer and got a low clutch dual control system error. i got the part changed out and car continues to have check engine lite. i use this vehicle to pick up my daughter every month. for years driving this vehicle never realized how ford has put me and my daughter in danger by having these faulty vehicles with messed up transmission that didn't belong in these types of vehicle. i took the vehicle to get fixed once and they told me it was a recall and wouldn't happen again after the fix and it continued after some time to go back to its usual shake before take off. like i said the last time i went for oil change and full inspection of vehicle at scarsdale ford dealership the mechanic said he took it out for a drive and saw nothing wrong with my car. after i drove it out the dealership car continued to shake and knew that he was lying. they just dont want to fix the problem. please help i owe over $4000 left on payments and this car isnt worth not even a penny for the danger it put me through everytime i took the car out for a drive. whenever my car check engine lite came on was when i was on local roads and highway. the car as of now does not reverse but when driven it also doesnt change its gears properly it skips gear 2 sometimes and car shakes. [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tt

I have been taking off after stopping and the transmission or fuel injection misses causing the vehicle to not engage the drive train just right. the vehicle hesitates, lurches, and shutters. the vibration is bad and i'm worried if i take off from a stop light or sign, the vehicle does not engage the drive train, i might be hit by another vehicle because i cannot get the vehicle out of the path of traffic due to the hesitation. this is a very serious safety issue and something must be done to correct the problem. *js

Transmission shutters and stalls while driving

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford fiesta. while stopped at a red light, there was a sudden increase in engine rpms without warning. also, the contact stated that the vehicle consistently shook without warning while accelerating. the failure recurred on several occasions. the vehicle was taken to the dealer and not diagnosed. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 11,000.

Car stutters and jerks when moving slow, or coming from s stop. the dual clutches have been replaced twice already.

While at a stop light and attempting to accelerate the car hesitated and did a jumping like shudder/shaking. it stopped after the car was just above the 20 mph mark. since it did not happened again for a few weeks did not take it into consideration, and did not attempt to take it to the dealer. most of the times they tell you the hesitation and shaking need to be present when the inspect the vehicle to determine the cause of it. i was researching some tsb# and found out this shaking and hesitation was a more serious problem that we (my spouse and i) thought and wanted to file a complaint about this. *tr

My car does not always go when the gas is hit. when you go to pull out while stopped at a red light or stop sign, the car acts like it is stalling out, shakes, makes grinding noise in the engine. has been in the shop for the issues. i've had the dual clutch replaced and module reprogrammed a few times. i was told numerous times by the ford tech, that the shuttering is normal for this type of vehicle. this is not normal. i had other people drive my car and they also agree that it shouldn't drive how it does. i have to avoid steep hills because the acceleration doesn't always work.

Vehicle has a defective transmission, it continues to have erratically issues while shifting gears or when getting ready to take off causing to have difficult driving and there are times when the car will not change gears fast enough when driving on the freeway. we have taken the car several times to the dealer and software updates have been made or module interface has been updated. we have records on maintenance performed on this car. we believe that the car is not safe to drive. please help.

The car shutters and loses power when accelerating at take off or low speed.
