Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fiesta. when the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle failed to accelerate and the engine rpms increased. the contact heard a grinding noise coming from the front of the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to the dealer twice, but the failure was unable to be replicated. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 5,000. updated 01/28/15*lj updated 9/8/2017*cn
Hello - i have had multiple issues with this car dating back to months ago when i had it serviced twice for the problem. this car is becoming a safety issue. i had the "clutch" replaced in this automatic car a few months ago when the car kept lunging forward and not accelerating. when i got it back... i was told to give a "grace" period to break in the clutch and that it might continue to "stutter". the past week i have almost gotten into three accidents. the clutch/trans is lunging so bad at this point it almost hit the car in front of me. the other main safety issue with ford having these "trans issues" on this model is the acceleration. it will not "catch" then lunge when trying to turn left and i almost got into a collision. ford sent me a letter in the mail after i complained months ago saying the "stuttering" my be a leak in the trans. a few months ago they said the stuttering was because they had to replace the clutch. i am at wits end with a car i can not afford to get rid of but do not feel safe driving. *tr
i just bought a used 2013 ford fiesta with about 43-44,000 miles on it. i drove the car off the authorized dealer's lot on yesterday 8/31/2014. the first thing that i noticed was, as i entered the highway, the car had trouble getting up to speed with the flow of traffic. later on the same day pulling out of an establishment to enter the main road i pressed the accelerator and the car jerked and acted like it was going to stall out. then it lunged forward into the street! had there been oncoming traffic, this could have caused an accident with me and my family in the car! the car hesitates to shift gears correctly. the rpm hand revs up real high on a light push on the gas pedal and doesn't come down efficiently so the car jerks when if finally "catches". i've had this car for one day! this is a danger and something needs to be done! *tr
Jerking, shuddering, loss of power on acceleration. was almost been rear ended because of this. this is a recurring issue. received recall from ford for transmission. took car in to dealership and was told they found no problem or issue with my car. car continues to be a concern because of the jerking, stuttering and loss of power on acceleration. *js
Always: later response to acceleration, roll back on hill, and grinding noise. dealers were never able to determine the problem. *tr
Transmission make a grinding sound and car shudders at low speeds. this was repaired in february 2014 for the same issue. now it is recurring. *tr
Extreme transmission shudder. jolting, jerking, shuddering, shaking, stalling. had "dual clutch" replaced 3 times thus far. requested a buyback, buyback denied. had a couple more repair attempts and now the can't isn't running fully - sent it certified letter from a lawyer and trying to go through the buy back process again before going to court. had 3 near accidents. this car is a lemon and extremely unsafe. *tr
My daughter took her car in for repair end of july 2014, due to very bad shuttering, shaking, acceleration and brake issue. dealership claims they reset the computer that speaks to the transmission. i had her take car back about 10 days later due to the same issue. they claim there was nothing wrong with vehicle that she needs to drive at least another 1000 miles so that computer can register her driving habits??? i drove her to work the following friday and as i was leaving uphill parking structure the car felt as it completely stalled out, i had the pedal floored and nothing and then out of nowhere the car jumped and accelerated forward. luckily there were no cars in front of me i would of definitely hit them. i drove vehicle straight to dealership and asked salesman to take for a test drive. he stated that there was clearly a problem and he would have gsm call me by the following monday. tuesday comes and as my daughter was driving to work she was involved in an accident due to the car not accelerating so she floored it and unfortunate for her hit the vehicle in front of her. i called salesman back and he said he would call me back, 3 weeks later no phone call from salesman or gsm. accident occured on 8-19-14 then we received a letter postmarked 8-26-14. customer satisfaction program claiming they have extended her warranty on clutch and transmission input shaft salsas well as the transmission software calibration for a total of 7 years or 100,000 miles whichever occurs first. to date still have not received call back from salesman or general service manager. vehicle needs to be recalled...... *tr
I brought my fiesta in for service about three months after driving it off the lot. i experience knocking, chugging, jolting and jerking everytime i accelerate from a stop light or stop sign. getting on the highway last week as i accelerated, my speedometer got stuck at 55mph and there was an extreme vibration coming from the bottom, along with the normal snapping noise. i'm taking it back for more service next week for the same reason it was in three months ago. i've only owned the car 9 months. i feel like this car is dangerous and i don't like to drive it. i travel 40 miles each way to work daily and i was happy about the gas mileage that i was getting but i didn't sign up for a lemon. *tr
The transmission makes a terrible grinding noise. it shutters upon accelerating from a stop, especially when lightly accelerating. when accelerating from a stop, the car may hesitate causing no response in throttle for a second or two, or it may by surprise spring you forward unexpectedly. this is a safety concern that i believe ford needs to address for vehicles with this transmission. *tr
This is the second time now that my car has to go back in to the shop the first time the transmission has burnt out the cliche and the told me this happen time to time. this car has made me almost get in to several car crashes so now is the second time my transmission has gone out its just a matter of time till it happen again hopefully it won't be while i driving and try to change lanes it shifts very hard and hesitate when you give it gas lest see what the ford dealership will try to pull a fast one on me and tell that there is nothing wrong with my car. *tr
I have had my car in numerous times to the dealer with problems with the transmission. finally in may of 2014 i had the clutch replaced. the car was about 75% better, not perfect but better. today the transmission is slipping and shifting through various gears randomly. it has no acceleration power from a stop. i am afraid to drive the car. the car is very dangerous to drive and they need to recall these cars. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fiesta. while driving approximately 20-35 mph, the vehicle shuttered, hesitated, and made a clanking sound. the failure recurred numerous times. the vehicle was diagnosed by the dealer, but was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 8,000.
Fiesta shifts hard, shudders, has issues accelerating, has issues braking. dealership confirmed, needs clutch replaced. part has been on back order for three weeks with no eta. *tr
Purchased this vehicle as a certified used directly from ford dealership. since the second day of owning it, on acceleration there is a buzzing noise under the hood (sounds like a go-cart) and feels like it is clogged. will accelerate suddenly or will have trouble accelerating especially when getting onto highway which have put me in a few dangerous situations. when coming to a stop or accelerating from a stop you can hear lots of metal clanking and sounds like its chugging. the vehicle vibrates, skips, like it is trying to get in gear on acceleration. having trouble finding a ford house that has time or willingness to repair. any i have called have said it would be 3-4 days before it can get looked at and won't issue a loaner in the meanwhile. i can't go 3-4 days without a car. monday morning, i am taking in to a dealership and leaving for them to access. this car was purchased for my teenage child who will be getting her license soon, after driving this car for 2 months i do not feel it is safe for her to drive and will be looking at other options for a vehicle. *tr
Ford fiesta 2013 (automatic transmission) - started car. put car in reverse. car did not reverse and there were rattling and grinding sounds coming from transmission. restarted car. car reversed. however, once car was put into drive the transmission was rattling and grinding again. once i tried to accelerate, the car lurched forward, stopped and lurched forward again. the acceleration was not smooth, it felt like the car might stall. the engine noises were loud and not typical. until i reached 45 miles per hour, the engine did not quiet down. driving in traffic was terrible. i had to leave extra room to stop as i did not trust the car to downshift properly. i had to leave extra room to accelerate because i could not predict if the car would go at all or accelerate at an unpredictable speed because the transmission was not trustworthy and the clutch kept slipping. overall, the fiesta's transmission issue has to do with the vehicle's design, and this is not an isolated incident. from 20,000 miles on, i have taken the car in twice to try and fix this defect and it continues to exist. i currently do not have the car as it is at the dealership and has been for 24 days and counting. they can't seem to fix the defects and this transmission design should be investigated. i am currently working with the bbb autoline to try and resolve this issue. *tr
My 2013 fiesta is 1 year old with 12500 miles on it. when first purchased the transmission would drop out, typically on starting from a stop or accelerating out of a turn. i was told that the computer was learning how i drive. this did improve. as time has gone on however, i have noticed a shudder when accelerating from a stop or at low speeds. this shudder has gotten progressively worse with the transmission being bogged down and refusing to shift in time. the more i drive, the worse it gets, especially after the engine has heated up. it is like trying to learn manual, which i have tried! it feels like the engine is going to stall and die. this happens in stop and go traffic, with a continuous fear that my engine is going to stall in rush hour traffic. i bought a brand new car to eliminate the fear of getting into an accident because of poor car condition. transmission issues with a 1 year old car are ridiculous. please fix this problem. *tr
Hello, my wife and i purchased a 2013 ford fiesta in may of 2013. we noticed a hesitation and stalling problem almost immediately. we thought it might be bad gas so we waited and put higher grade gas in it and the problem still continued. at this time, we thought that the problem would be a recall by ford since it was happening all of the time so we waited for a recall notice. approximately in september of 2014 the car was still having this problem and ford sent us a notice that they were aware of the problem. my wife took the car in to have it looked at and they said they have a fix for it which should make it better but would not stop the problem but it would take a while to get it scheduled for service. we scheduled the vehicle and a few weeks later it was done and the problem continued so i took it back in and told them it was still doing it. the employee at the dealership, that i purchased it at, told me that they could not do anything about it until ford comes up with a fix for the problem. i posted on ford service on facebook and then they contacted me and looked into the problem. a customer service representative called me today and verified the same story saying that the problem could not be fixed right now. i asked about the warranty and they seemed uninterested stating again that they can't fix it. another problem is that this car has had this problem over a few year period, so they are aware of it yet they continue to sell it. this car is dangerous, it has even shut off on us a couple of times. the biggest problem driving it is that it will start to take off then will almost shut down leaving you at risk to oncoming traffic before it takes off, there have been some close calls. it is shameful such a large company as ford would not fix this problem or take care of its customers. worst car i have ever owned. *tr
The first thing that happened was that it lost all acceleration while driving on a street. i can to a stop turned it off then it was fine (this happened twice). while driving anywhere and while changing gears it would start to grind so i took it in and the replaced the dual clutch but it still did it after. now it has started to jump after all stops no matter it being 0 - miles away it would keeps losing power and has a transmission malfunction popping up and wont stay running.
Vehicle shutters upon acceleration and feels like it wants to stall. when vehicle is turning to the left from a stopped position, the shuttering is extremely pronounced and feel like it will stall. when vehicle is driving up a hill, it will slow down, shutter, and feel like it will stall. vehicle does not run smoothly, and will jerk forward during acceleration. vehicle will not accelerate up to speed when entering highway, and almost causes me to get hit from behind as other vehicles and trying to get up to speed as well. when vehicle approaches approximately 35-40 mph, a chattering grinding sound develops, and sounds like it is coming from the front driver side engine area. *tr
The car is unsafe!!! its jerks, shakes, rolls back, accelerates on its own and the transmission makes weird sounds. a few days ago i took it in because it wouldn't move. that was the second time i had taken it in for that issue. i picked the car up monday night and tuesday it was back in the shop. the car stalled in mid turn, almost causing me to get into an accident. i am now afraid to drive my car. ford knows the vehicle needs to be recalled. instead of doing so, they extend the warranty in a effort to make customers happy. in the meantime the problem isn't being solved. they are wasting countless manhours on a situation that isn't going away. *tr
Have taken the 2013 fiesta into the dealership 3 different times for lack of power, not accelerating, sluggish feel between gears shifting. each time it has either been reprogrammed or i was told no problem could be found! it is scheduled for repair thursday, december 10, 2015, we are taking it in because this last time the car nearly stalled on my daughter as she tried to go around a vehicle on the interstate, and she was at full speed but tried accelerating. this will be 4 times in two years. the vehicle jerks or stops . vehicle has always been in motion, all the time on city streets and highway also when turning
Within the first year of owning this car, the transmission started displaying signs of defectiveness. it began exhibiting a grinding noise when in low gears. as mileage increased (~12,000 mi), it started not shifting properly with either hesitation, skipping or jolting forward. now (~25,000mi), the vehicle is shuttering and vibrating in low gears (1 & 2). in other words, i feel like i have no control over my vehicle and both myself and others on the road are in danger. i have brought my car in three times for the same problem. it has been reprogrammed twice with the pcm and tcm updated. the problem has been occurring for 1.5 years without any potential to be resolved. i would have brought my car in to get serviced additional times, but i was told by the service technician that there is nothing else they can do but run tests on the transmission, that will result in the same outcome. my transmission apparently "runs within spec" but there is something wrong and this problem should be a concern to all drivers, not just owners of ford fiesta's or focus', as they are endangered just being on the road with said vehicles. when driving my ford fiesta, i fear that i am going to rear end someone or get stuck in an intersection because i am no longer in control of my cars acceleration. *tr
Transmission grinds, hesitates and has trouble shifting at low speeds. sometimes the transmission has a slow reaction to the pedal and jolts forward after the delay. in stop and go bumper to bumper city traffic this can cause issues. i've had the clutch assembly replaced twice but could have had it done 5 + times at least. it's too much trouble to constantly have to get it fixed at the dealership. after the dealership fixed it both times its good for a few thousand miles then problems start all over again.
Engine revs but vehicle barely speeds up,transmission slipping. took to ford dealer on 4/11/14, diagnosed as oil leak from transmission, 612 rpm slip, oil on the clutch. needs warranty transmission repair at 23,179 miles. ford transmission tech was on vacation, schedule appointment for 4/21/14 to return to dealer for warranty repairs. returned to ford dealer on 11/03/14 at 34,540 miles for transmission problem again, low speed chattering during take off and shifts, gears not engaging, slipping on acceleration, unsmooth harsh shifting, loss of power, jerks and shutters, rolls backwards on inclines. car is unpredictable and unsafe to drive. car was diagnosed again as needing transmission warranty repairs. clutch parts are on backorder possibly until 11/28/14. was informed that fiestas have had faulty transmissions since 2011. ford replaces the clutch along with other related parts with the same "new" faulty clutch. ford has not found a solution for this transmission problem, they are just replacing with same faulty parts that are expected to fail again in approximately 10,000 miles. ford is bandage fixing my fiesta transmission, leaving the car at high risk of unsafe transmission issues to continue to happen. the transmission problems with the ford fiesta is a well known and documented problem for ford, i wish i knew this before i bought mine. now i have to deal with an unsafe car when the transmission decides to fail again besides for dealing with the hassle of repairs every 10,000 or so miles and ending up owning a car that after 100,000 miles cannot have further warranty repairs on the transmission. the end result for me is owning a worthless and unsafe car. *tr
The 2013 ford fiesta jerks, hesitates and sputters during acceleration greatly. it rolls backward on inclines like a stick shift, but the car is an automatic. the car feels unsafe. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fiesta. when accelerating, the vehicle hesitated and the contact heard an unknown sound underneath the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to the dealer multiple times. the technician stated that the clutch was faulty. the clutch was replaced twice, but the failure persisted. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 20,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fiesta. while driving at approximately 10 mph and accelerating, the vehicle jerk and shook without warning. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the clutch to the transmission failed and needed to be replaced and the rpm needed to be adjusted. the vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was unknown.
Bucking, kicking, jerking, harsh engagement, and delayed acceleration and lurching - rolls backwards on hills - transmission rebuild two times and replaced in 24000 miles, these cars a safety issue and ford needs to take responsibility. ford will not discuss and just keeps deny. they will not return our calls - please help also, all door pawl spring tab latches have failed more then once.
I purchased the vehicle used in february of 2014. a couple of days after having the vehicle it started to make loud grinding noises, when i tried to accelerate it would sputter and almost stall. i took it in on march 05, 2014 and the dealership had it for a week. when i picked it up, i was told that they could not find anything wrong with it and the grinding was "normal". the grinding noises, the sputtering, the slow acceleration, and other issues are still happening with this vehicle. when i call to see if i can take it in, i am told that this is normal for this vehicle. these 'normal' attributes should be disclosed prior to purchasing the vehicle. when i am at a stop and i start to accelerate, the car does not accelerate and it lunges and it has caused me to almost get rear-ended on more than one occasion. there has been a couple of times where i am driving on the highway at a steady speed and when i try to accelerate, it does not accelerate and the rpms just shoot up. the transmission of this vehicle has too many bugs in it and it is causing a safety concern. if i would have known that these things were 'normal' prior to purchasing the vehicle, i never would have bought it. something needs to be done about this. i have seen numerous complaints that are very similar to mine and it truly is a safety concern that needs to be addressed. *tr
I bought a new 2013 fiesta in 6/13. i have been having problems with it since 3/14. the car shakes, shifts and looses power when taking off. these problems are a great concern to me since i have 2 kids and i am afraid we are not safe in this car. in one instance car lost all power while entering the freeway and i could have been easily rear ended by someone. in other instance the car shake while waiting on a red light and then no power to take off. these are really big problems that put a person at a very high risk for accidents. i have been to ford dealer in pittsburgh ca more than 7 times related to multiple problems with this car and all they do is put fluid/oil and clean parts of the transmission/ clutch and honestly is very disappointing. i bought a new car to have a safe transportation for me and my kids and this is not what i was expecting. i am always scared i am going to hit someone or that i am going to going to get hit because the car cant take off . *tr
The new* automatic clutch system is malfunctioning and jumping/stuttering/skipping through the first 1-3 gears. it has already been replaced once and am setting up an appointment to have it fixed/replaced again. the car was bought new with 7 miles the first occurrences happened before 5k and now it has less than 15k mi and is happening again. often the response to accelerate is delayed making it unsafe to merge, flow with traffic, change lanes etc. *tr
In february of 2014 i took my fiesta in complaining of grinding and rattling noises when taking off from a stop. both inner and outer input shaft seals were replaced due to a leak as well as the clutch assembly. in july of 2014 at approx. 13,104 miles, my average miles per gallon was dropping as well as the car shuttering on acceleration and turning the vehicle. again, within five months the clutch assembly was replaced, in may of 2014 a different issue, the check engine light came on. this time diagnosis was the catalyst element failing and the exhaust manifold assembly was replaced. another issue was i had the green phone icon light flashing on the center display, in which the front display was replaced. i really like the my fiesta, but i do not feel very comfortable driving it, too much has gone bad in a short period of time. ford needs to do more in addressing and fixing these issues. too many fiesta owners have these issues and this is not a safe vehicle. *tr
Bought my fiesta new off of the lot in 2013. transmission has always been loud. called service center to report and was told that was normal for the type of transmission i had. starting at about 15000 miles, car started to hesitate when trying to go into 1st gear. also car sputters if trying to pick up speed for passing. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fiesta. while driving various speeds, the vehicle shuddered while making a turn. the contact also stated that the vehicle stalled after making a complete stop. when the contact depressed the accelerator pedal, the vehicle would not accelerate. the contact took the vehicle to dewey ford (3055 se delaware ave, ankeny, ia 50021, 515-963-9575) where the clutch was replaced three or four times; however, the failure persisted. the manufacturer was notified and did not assist. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was unknown.
I bought two brand new 2013 fiestas in september of 2012. my kids picked the colors and we're excited to have new cars. my older sons car started first, it had more miles on it. the car was making awful sounds, not going into reverse, popping out of first. after 15 months of owning the car, it wouldn't shift at all. he took the car to ford and they traded it for a fusion. my daughters car only has 12,000 miles on it and is taken to ford every couple of months with the same complaints. it won't go into reverse and now it is making weird noises and popping out of gear while she's driving. i want something done. i'm spent over $33,000 on these two cars that don't work and now have become hazardous to even be driving. my baby is driving this car and they will not fix it. *tr
I bought a 2013 ford fiesta in april and by january 2014 the transmission started chattering, shuttering and feeling like it will stall or drop out of gear. i took the car to the ford dealership in monroe mi. on 1/28/14 w/20829 miles, was told this is normal for your transmission. they reprogrammed the trans. took back 5/21/14 at 30282 miles same problem, was told this is normal for your transmission. they reprogrammed the transmission. took back on 7/18/14 at 34361 miles same problem, dealership rebuilt transmission. took back on 6/24/15 at 59048 miles same problem again happening. they reprogrammed the transmission. i've been having this issue for over 40000 miles with a 23000 mile time after the rebuild that the problem was very small or weak until it started getting worse again. ford won't do anything, they say the transmission is in specification according to the dealership. the dealership drives the car very few miles and deems the car in specification. i drive 30 miles to work and this problem persists daily, intermittently from stop to stop. this is a dangerous flaw in the transmission because at times when taking off the car looses power feeling like its going to stall or pop out of gear.
Harsh shifting of transmission, or other transmission shifting complaints/problems. loss of power on initial take-off from a stop or from low speeds. the feeling of the transmission "slipping". harsh or delayed engagement of transmission "jerking" or "shuddering" upon take-off from a stop. vehicle rolls backwards when on an incline. vehicle loses power when on the interstate and you try and accelerate to pass another vehicle. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fiesta. the contact stated that while driving at 10 mph, the vehicle hesitated until it shifts gear without warning. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed with a transmission failure. the contact stated that the transmission was replaced to a hybrid transmission. the clutch was replaced twice along with the transmission computer was reset four times. the failure persisted on several occasions. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was mileage was 9,000.
When accelerating from a stop the car hesitates and then lunges forward, and shutters. when driving up a hill or turning corners the car shutters. when accelerating the car makes noises due to the shift forks. when at a stop with the car running and in the drive position, or when stopped on a flat surface the car rolls in reverse. as my son was walking behind the car while it was in parked on a slight incline the car rolled back and hit my son.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fiesta. the contact stated the transmission failed. while, at a complete stop the transmission jerked violently, causing the vehicle to engage acceleration slowly and shake. the vehicle was taken to the dealer several times for the failure. the dealer replaced the transmission twice. however, the failure was not corrected. the manufacturer was notified. the failure mileage was 5,000.
Car, jumps forward when engaging from a stop, and loud noise heard on driver's side when turning. car would not start had to tow it to dealership. *tr
2013 ford fiesta has water leaking into trunk area from rear seat to back of car. car has been to dealer seven times for repair and still has water leak in trunk area. also vehicle has a hesitation when pulling out, transmission jerks and makes grinding noise. car has been to dealer two times to have transmission checked. transmission has been reprogrammed two times and still has same problem. dealer says this is normal operation for this transmission. car feels unsafe when pulling out into traffic, feels like engine is going to stall. *tr
The transmission makes all kind of noises, jerks, bogs down, and has even almost stalled going up a hill i've taken it to ford and they said its "normal". *tr
Makes noise while driving between 30-50 ml/h from day one. many times, from stationary to move, it will suddenly jump, accelerate, hard to control. has known transmission problem and sometime will not start.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fiesta. the contact stated that while driving and making a left turn, the speed suddenly decelerated and would not respond when depressing the accelerator pedal. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission malfunctioned. the transmission computer was reprogrammed and no further information was provided to the contact regarding the repair. the contact stated that the vehicle continued to experience the defect after teh repairs. the manufacturer was notified and no solution was offered. the failure mileage was 6,500.
Vehicle even after numerous software updates and transmission replacement continues to wear out automatic transmission clutch. vehicle hesitates severely during 1 and 2nd automatic gears and the transmission "shudders". ford is aware of the problem and extended the warranty but the problem continues and they are unable to fix it. this problem is very dangerous when trying to pull out onto a road. the slipping transmission sometimes doesn't allow vehicle to normally accelerate onto traffic. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fiesta. while accelerating from a stop at 5 mph, the vehicle shook and hesitated while shifting into gear. the vehicle shook violently. the failure only occurred while driving at low speeds. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the clutch needed to be replaced and the sensors needed to be re-flashed. the repairs were performed; however, the failure recurred frequently. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 7,000. updated 04/08/16*lj the consumer stated the vehicle would shake and hesitate on acceleration from a stop. the consumer stated the clutch was replaced three times. however, it did not resolve the problem. updated 04/14/16.*jb
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford fiesta. the contact stated that while driving at approximately 5 mph, the vehicle vibrated. the vehicle was making an abnormal noise coming from the transmission. the failure was recurring. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was repaired under a manufacturers recall but the failure recurred. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 12,000.
I was stopped at an intersection waiting on traffic. finally got a small gap and hit the accelerator to proceed into the middle of the intersection, it clattered, then hesitated and would not go. after about 3 seconds, which felt like eternity when you cars coming towards you on both sides, it finally went. no accident, but way too close for my comfort. i've had this car at the dealership four different times for this same problem. they have reprogrammed the transmission every time but it still does the same thing. about four weeks ago i was on the highway and the car lost complete power, acted as if it were in neutral. i have filed a complaint with ford but they say it is within their tolerance. i bought this car for my daughter but i am afraid to let her drive without me. when i finally have to give this car to my sixteen year old daughter, and she loses her life because of this transmission, is will not be tolerable. *tr
